We all could use a little more LOVE #review

Image
I am a lover.  Always have been, always will be.  I love LOVE and love showing love and being loved.  When we were given the chance to review the board book, Love by Casey Rislov, I knew this would be a great one.  With the way the world is now... and the fact that everyone seems to be having babies, this would be a great gift to give.  ( My friend had everyone give us books instead of cards for my baby shower and I LOVED that idea!)   FTC Compliant Review Policy:    The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency for the sole purpose of product testing. iLive Waterproof Speaker is a hit! #review

Image
Music is something we love around this house!  I was in chorus for years in middle school and high school.   If you follow me on Instagram, you will see my sweet girl doing Karaoke on Friday nights.  When we were sent a Bluetooth speaker for review, I knew this would be a hit at our house.  I originally had it connected to my phone and in the morning I would use it to play some tunes while we got ready for school and work.   FTC Compliant Review Policy:    The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency for the sole purpose of product testing. It was actually really easy to get going too!  Just charge the iLive Waterproof speaker and then press the power button, your phone will ask if you want to connect and then boom you are up and going!   It was so easy that Broxton...

All the feels with #TheLittlePrince #review

Image
Now that school is back in, I want to reintroduce another great movie you can watch for family movie night.  The whole thing centers around love for people and interaction, at least that was my take on it...  So perfect for the new school year!     At some point or another, we were introduced to The Little Prince. We fell in love with the movie, I mean...  HELLO it hits you in the feels ...  We ended up watching it over and over and then - late to the party here, we found out it was based on a book!   Yep, we ended up buying the book!  Sadly, we go to read it and then decide we want to watch the movie again, so we have not finished the book yet.  We love the movie so much, the kids wanted Little Prince figures to have in the house, so we bought them.  We had planned to use them for a project, but they just sit on the furniture for the time being. Anyways, after watching the movie over and over, through streaming, we found out i...

Just some of the #sports books in our Little Free Library #Review

Image
I have wanted to have Little Free Libraries around my hometown for a while now.  We finally had an old newspaper stand donated to us and that was the start.  We got it painted and then were lucky enough to have permission to place the library at our local ENT.  I wanted to share just SOME of the great books that are in the first (of hopefully several) libraries around here.  Perfect for the young sports fans!    FTC Compliant Review Policy:    The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency for the sole purpose of product testing. THE UNITED STATES OF SPORTS is the absolute perfect gift for kids: it goes state-by-state to share cool factoids and stats about teams & players, and includes tons of interesting graphics and illustrations.  The local heroes and special sites of our home (and ...

Back to school with Welch's Juicefuls #Review

Image
Back to school has always been a fun time around here.  New school clothes, new school supplies and of course the opportunity to make new friends and learn new things.  I don't know about you guys, but have you seen the meme's about kids needing to get back to their school stomach's of not having 15 snacks and 47 breakfasts and lunches?  Well, with Savannah being in 1st grade, she has to take a snack daily.  We of course have a variety of items for her to choose from and 9 times out of 10 she wants a snack when she gets home from school while dinner is finishing up.  We were sent Welch's Juicefuls for review and the plan was to take a box for a snack on our trip this summer and then have them for the house, but once both kids tried them, they didn't make it in the snack bag for vacation.  They are really tasty and the surprise juice inside is an added bonus!   Officially making a splash across retailers nationwide, these new next-level snacks – av...

Adding books to ourlibraries! #RaisingAReader @sterlingbooks #Review

Image
Those that know me, know I love to read.  I have always hoped that my kids would love to read as much as I do. Broxton used to, but the older he gets, the more he tries to fight it (GOING ON AS I TYPE THIS NOW!!!!)    Savannah loves it and it makes this mama heart happy when she spots a book and says "Mama, can I read this to you?"  I try to make it a point to have books in each room of our house. We are always adding more books to our home library and have now started working on getting Little Free Libraries around town, first up Albany ENT in Albany, Georgia.  (Remember, we started with one at the Harley Dealership in Lithia Springs, Georgia) A few books we have added to our home library this year are listed below.  What are you reading? Re-watching Onward and enjoying it just as much as the first time

Image
You know, back before the COVID pandemic, the kids and I would try to pick a movie every so often to go and enjoy in the theaters.  When ONWARD came out, we all decided that it was one we wanted to see.  We even talked my mom into joining us on one of our movie days!   We loved the movie and thankfully with Disney+, we can still watch it (which we have on numerous occasions!)  As we get ready for a great new school year, we are trying to take the weekend to focus and relax to get ready for the busy week.  We decided to watch ONWARD again and I just thought I would share for anyone that might not have seen it yet.
