Toys sure have changed from when I was a kid.  I mean, I know we had some pretty cool things, but man oh man, did they come out with new toys like every single day back then?  I can't lie, some are pretty cool that makes me want to buy them for us to have (like we really NEED another toy) but then some make me wonder who thinks they need them and why?! We were recently at a store and spotted a doll that changed between a cupcake to a doll.  Of course, we had never seen them before and Savannah just HAD TO HAVE IT.   FTC Compliant Review Policy:    The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency for the sole purpose of product testing. Once we got home, she was in love with this little cupcake surprise.  Little did we know that they had more than one size, more than one doll and .... get this......

We were recently sent the K'Nex Combat Crew 5 in 1 Building Set for review.  Let's just go ahead and get this out of the way... It says for ages 7+, but this 30 something year old mama was struggling.  That isn't saying a lot, since I know my eyes aren't as good as they used to be and my hands are much bigger than a 7 year old, but whoa nelly... that was some work! We decided that since Broxton had been doing SO WELL in school, we would allow his elf to give it to him.  It was great as it was supposed to be a daddy and son event.  Yeah, that quickly ended when the patience of daddy went flying out the window and mommy had to step in.  Broxton was getting frustrated, as we were both trying to d...

Broxton has been talking about the fact that he wants to go fishing.  I hate it for him, but I am just not one to go fishing, so that is going to have to wait. Lucky for him, we were sent a Little Tike Fish 'n Splash Water Table for review.  I know it says ages 2 and older, so it is a bit on the "baby side" but I will tell you this.. Give a kid some water to play with in the Georgia Summer and they will find a way to have fun!    The original plan was to take it to give to a friend of ours that has younger children, but Broxton wanted to at least try it out. He got out there and was laughing and giggling and having such a good time. His sweet self even started talking about how next year he was go...

Well, I don't want to make the same mistake this time around.  I want to purchase things that are beneficial.  One thing?  Beary Rumples from  Rumple Buddies .   Beary Rumples is just one of the products available from Rumple Buddies.  I love that they not only send you the Rumple B...

The book we were sent was BIG TRACTORS with Casey and Friends by Holly Dufek.  The great thing about reviewing this book was the fact that we were sent a toy model tractor like the one on the cover of the b...

If you know me, I am all about making memories and incorporating traditions with Broxton.  I want him to look back and remember these things... and maybe start new traditions with his family years and years from now!   We do things like movie night and arts and crafts and fun things... But we have started a new one (last year) that even my dad is a bit jealous about!    The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency for the sole purpose of product testing. Our new tradition started last year when I was able to share with you the  2013 Hess Toy Truck .  Broxton thought it was the coolest thing and it is always so fun to see him playing with it.  (My dad may or may not have been a tad bit jealous when he came to visit and saw it.)   I knew then that the quality of this truck was amazing and th...

ALL IMAGES BELONG TO JUMPIN BEANS BLOG.     Image - Alex Toys Did you have a slinky when you grew up???  I remember having them and wishing more than anything to have a house with stairs, just so we could play with a slinky down the stairs... Talk about a big wish..  Well, now here I am ... an adult... with a house with stairs... and Broxton now has a slinky to play with!  We have been having so much fun!  I remember when he got them, he was so excited!  (He was given a black one - collectors edition --- and a purple one!)    We have had hours of fun..  Letting the slinky go from one hand to the other... and then down the stairs!  We have been racing ...

Not only from other blogs, but from the emails I get talking about different products...  Well, for a couple of years now, I have heard of  "Hess Trucks" and this year, I get to tell you about it!!! Hess Trucks have been around since the 1960's.    The first one was made to be affordable for families ... and here we are, all these years later... with a great toy that comes with a great price tag!   The 2013 Hess Toy Truck is AWESOME!!!   At first, I was thinking that $27.99 might be a bit pricey...   Then, it arrived!   This toy seems like it is made to last and I am so very impressed with it! ...

Imagine this: Marc goes and downloads this crazy app that has a cat that repeats what you say. He shows it to Broxton and that is the end of quiet in this house. They laugh.. they talk and listen to the cat repeat. Over and Over.. Then, Broxton found out he could play with the cat! He can slap it, scare it, make it have a pie in its face and so much more... I thought that was pretty cool, until I learned that you can now purchase a physical toy of the Talking Tom.  Yes!!!! You can now buy a Talking Tom TOY!!!! We received it for review,  but will be holding on to it to give to Broxton as part of his Christmas gifts.  I will admit, Marc and I took it out and played with it first... Talking Tom has 3 sensors, his head, his hand and his foot. Yes, he repeats what you say. It is kinda creepy how his mouth moves, it looks like an old toothless grandparent, but truthfully, it will just add to the fun for Broxton.  I know he will love hitting the sensors...
