What did you do this weekend? #Shrek15Insiders #Swampathon

Picture this... Friday night.  You and your family are all out to dinner.  Your son invites his uncle back to the house for a movie night.  Since he is 26, he quickly says "No" as he has had enough FFF - a.k.a. Forced Family Fun.  It is okay, it is not the end of the world.  It is actually the 15th Anniversary of SHREK and we are having lots of goodies to go with the movie...  It's a #SWAMPATHON and GREEN POPCORN gets them back to the house for a little bit!!! I will shout from the rooftops how lucky I know I am that I get to work with Fox Home Entertainment to review these different movies.  We were sent a green themed kit to celebrate Shrek and Fionna's 15th Anniversary. ...

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation . There is no secret that I am thinking of trying the "cloth diaper" route this time around.  To be honest, it seemed to be really difficult and if you ask any of my family, they will tell you it is a pain and not to do it.  The truth is that they are thinking of the " old school " way with the plain white diapers with the big safety pins.  You know, the kind that was used when I was a baby.  Yes, I realize I am dating myself now, but I needed to explain what they were thinking.  Cloth diapering has changed so very much since those long ago days.  Now you can get diapers that snap or that Velcro.  You can get diapers that have inserts you place in there, or inserts you snap inside.  ...

Great Gift Year-round @consciousbox

Image
With Valentines quickly approaching, there is no better time than now to get a subscription to Conscious Box.  Conscious Box is a monthly gift box subscription that is sure to put a smile on the recipient.  I have to admit, I am not "green" so many of the products are new to me, but in that sense, it is nice to learn about the different companies out there these days. Let me tell you the things I love about the box: Up first, I love the cute packaging... If you know anything about me, packaging is a big deal.  From books and movies to food and beauty products... I notice!  The Conscious Box comes in a plain brown box... that has a cute diamond cut on the top. They place a postcard with an awesome photo on top so that it shows through the cut out.. that way, when you open your box, you see it first.  The backside of the postcard has a note from Conscious Box.  They also include an actual post card that you can send to someone... or at least cha...

Green Gifts Under $25 @GreenBrideGuide

Image
I am all about buying great gifts.... but lets be real, some things can get rather pricey. That is why I am always thrilled when I see something that looks awesome, but is also affordable. With everyone "going green,"  a green gift would be a great one, but most times, they are always a bit too expensive for what my budget allows. When I saw the website, Green Bride Guide , I knew there were several cute idea's on there and now I will share some with you! All of these are under $25, so that makes me smile!!! We were sent the Happiness Wooden Coaster Set.  When they arrived, I was immediately impressed and had to sit them out as soon as I could get them out of the packaging.  To me, when they are stacked, it looks as though I just have a small tree stump sitting on the table.  Then, you start looking at them and you realize that each has a different word on them.  It appears as thought they have been "branded" with the different words....

Pocoyo and Earth Day ... We Can All Use the Help

To promote POCOYO’s Earth Hour initiatives, there is a new POCOYO DVD,  FUN & GAMES.    The DVD, which will be released on April 3 SRP: $12.99, features POCOYO, the fun-loving, curious little boy with a big personality.  Watch as he explores, plays games and has fun with his friends Pato, Elly, Loula and Sleepy Bird. Viewers can join them as they stage their own version of the Olympics, create a magic show and ride the new, big, scary slide in the playground.  Broxton has really enjoyed this DVD, I hate to admit it, but I get a bit lost in their accent... (I guess that is what you call it?)  All I know, is as soon as it starts, I clean or do things around the house... He sits and has rest time and seems to zone out to the television.  He was in there trying to tell me something about Pocoyo, but I just could not get what he was telling me.  Once things get a bit back to normal, I plan to attempt to watch this with him, but until then....
