I think sometimes it was just because he was bored in class and wanted to get out for a bit. Yes, we spoke about it and I told him that he was only to go when he was really not feeling well, that if he went all the time, the time he actually did not feel good, no one was going to believe him.  Being in school meant that there were a few times when he was around plenty of other sick kids  (WHY SEND YOUR KID to school if they are sick and with a fever?  I just do not get it!)  Anyways, don't get me started on that one... Well, as I was saying, there were a few times when he really did not feel well.  Instead of rushing up there each time...

I Want My Mommy

So, I wake up with a sore throat... I did not really think much about it, since when the weather starts doing the hot/cool days... I most always catch a quick cold.  Not to mention, Broxton is back in school and I helped with AWANA.. so we have been around plenty of kids (Broxton had a small cough too) Then, the next day.. It got a bit worse... I googled home remedies and made up a concoction of honey, garlic and cayenne pepper... Sounds NASTY... not great, but I did keep it down... I will say it did bring relief for a bit... Day three, I was dying... I told Marc I just knew I would feel better if I cut a few slits in my face to let the pressure in my sinus cavities have a way to escape... I tell you... it was bad...  Miserably bad... Finally, I could not take it anymore... I did not want to get anyone else sick... So, I sucked it up and headed to the doctor... Not pictured : My ear drops (as I have been on them already and they were not near the new medical supply!) ...

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. When we bought our house, there was all sorts of new discoveries in our yard... Living in an apartment all of my adult life and NOT being a fan of the outdoors, I was not sure what anything was... I even sent text messages to friends asking if things were flowers, weeds or herbs!!!  I tell ya, outdoorsy, I am not!!! I went to pulling plants that I could (although I was not going too deep as I was worried about snakes!) Anyways, I went to pulling weeds and all of a sudden, I started getting texts telling me to be careful of Poison Ivy!!! I had not even thought of that... but I was wearing gloves (I am not a fan of dirt AT ALL.)  Luckily, I was in the clear, I did not have any issues...  But, a friend o...

Safely Dose with Timer Cap

If you have ever taken medicine or had to give medicine to someone, you might be like me and have   a hard time knowing when you gave them something last.  I know that there have been times when I could totally not remember if I ever actually took the medicine, so I resulted in trying to remember to write it down.  Well, seems that I am not the only one, as there is a company that has decided to come to the rescue! Timer Cap . Timer Cap comes in two different sizes, small and large.  It seems as though they fit all medicine bottle tops.  The purpose of a Timer Cap?  Once you open it, the timer in the cap starts, letting you know when you last took your medicine.  I was worried that it would be a normal lid, but I was happy to see that you do have the child safety feature of having to push down to open it. If you have a hard time remembering when you last took your medicine, or if you have an elderly person that tends to forget, this would be...
