If you are looking for a movie to both make you laugh and make you cry... the Descendants is just the movie for you.  I loved it and Marc did as well. It really has hilarious parts in it that had Marc literally laughing out loud at it... The only draw back to this is that there is a good amount of profanity.  I would recommend this to my mom and my aunt, but due to the language, I know both would turn it off before it was over... Unless they could actually over-look it.  Especially the daughter, Alex.  She has much built up anger and you can tell that one of her ways to get it all out is her nasty mouth. Now that I have watched the movie (and learned that it is based on a book) I really want to read the book now.  For those of you like me that enjoy reading, I am adding a study guide to this post that is a "book to film discussion guide."
