Bowling for the win? #wordlesswednesday

Image
I just thought this was too cute.  Her little bowling shoes!  Do you bowl?  Are you good?  Last time we went, I actually started off with like 3 strikes in a row and was pretty impressed, then I got annoyed and from that point on my game went down the gutter, just like my ball.  (Mom Joke, see what I did there?!)  What do you do for fun on the weekends?

What would you call them?

Let me tell you a story that had me laughing the other day... The NEW NIKE'S  Long story short, Broxton has had in his mind he really "NEEDED" a pair of Nike's.  He got a pair from my parents as an early birthday gift.  Big thanks to Stride Rite for having a 50% off sale!!!!   He wore them that night and the next morning he was still talking about them excited to wear them to church...  That is when it happened...  He walked in to Savannah's room (still talking about his Nike's) and then was so excited to see Savannah!  He yells out... "LOOK AT HER SHOES!!!! SHE IS WEARING PILGRIM SHOES!" The PILGRIM SHOES

We were so lucky to receive several hand me downs when we found out we were having a girl.  I was so thankful and even now it amazes me how lucky we really are.  (When Broxton was born, we had one friend give us like 15 outfits,so very thankful, but that was all in the hand me down department.) With Savannah, we have been given several dozen outfits, shoes, toys and more. Can you tell we are super thankful for having a niece a little older than Savannah?  Yes, we do have plenty of things for her and this girl has more shoes than I know what to do with... but the fact remains that she had not ONE PAIR OF SHOES to fit her at her age now.  For real, she has about 40 pairs of shoes, but they are all for w...

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation . If you have visited this blog before, you might know how much we love the shoes from Stride Rite .  I will sing their praises, as they are really good for us.  Broxton can do some damage on shoes, so for the longest time I would just buy a cheap pair from a local store and when they were worn out, we would just buy a new pair.  We then tried out Stride Rite and we have never looked back!  Well, actually this one time, his daddy wanted to buy him a pair of shoes like his, so we ventured out to that store and after wearing them for about 10 minutes (and him not liking them) we took them back to their store and then headed further down in the mall and got him a new pair of Stride Rite shoes!  ...

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. I am 10 years older than my baby brother.  When he was born, I thought it was one of the happiest days of my life.  I remember going to the baby showers for him and being excited to see all the cute things we were getting to welcome him home. It was like a little boy baby doll that I was going to get to play with!  I also remember going to a sibling class of sorts and getting a shirt saying I was the big sister.  Pretty cool!  One thing that has always stuck out in my mind? One of my moms friends giving me a couple little gifts for me.  I honestly don't remember what it was, but I know one thing was one of those big lollipops... and a giant chocolate chip cookie.  The thing about it?...

Man, he can go through shoes... but @striderite lasts the longest!

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. Maybe you remember me posting about Stride Rite's campaign to have people donate their gently worn shoes so that other kids less fortunate could have a pair of shoes...  As if that wasn't awesome enough as it is, I wanted to tell you more about how impressed I am with Stride Rite.   Let me back up and explain a few things first... As a teenager, money wasn't an object when it came to my shoes...  As it wasn't MY money being spent... but as soon as I started having to pay for them out of my pocket, the $125 shoes didn't REALLY look that much better than the less expensive ones!    So, that quickly changed my outlook on them...  Once I became a mom, that trait carried on... I was NOT abo...

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. When Broxton was born, we had a time keeping shoes on his feet... He wanted to be barefoot and we normally just let him...  As he started trying to walk, we would put shoes on him, but again, they find a way to come off (thanks to a very persistent little boy!)   As he got older ... and I got a bit "wiser" in parenting, I learned of a great product.   Robeez Shoes !!  I heard that letting him go barefoot would be best, but lets get real... I did not want my baby crawling around / trying to walk outside without shoes on...  Especially since once he found his feet, he loved to have them in his mouth!!!!   Robeez is the best way to let the feet move and grow -- feeling like they are baref...

Comfortable Shoes from @DawgsFootwear

I have found a pretty comfortable pair of flip flops and I just have to tell you about them. You want to know why? Because up until recently, I was not a fan of flip flops.. Not that there is anything wrong with them, but because I hate feet. My feet are not the prettiest (no worries, I am not going to be posting a picture of them on here...) That being said, I never wore shoes that would show my toes... Not attractive!  I used to joke and say it was because my feet were all weird and blame it that my mom would not buy me shoes that fit when I was younger... Truth is, I just have ugly toes!!!! All my life I wore tennis shoes and closed toed shoes... As to not worrying about showing those ugly jokers off!  Then, in Atlanta, I would wear them every now and then... nothing like an every day item, but I would wear them from time to time... Once I married Marc, I noticed I would wear them more... and even more importantly, I would wear them in public!!!!  I guess since he...

#HolidayGiftGuide - @TsukihoshiUS Review

As we all know, kids really do some damage to their play shoes. From running and jumping to any and everything else... Shoes for young ones need to stand up to the test of really being "child proof." We have been reviewing a pair of shoes for Broxton that are of a brand I have never heard of.. Tsukihosh i. It could be that we have never heard of them because we only buy the cheaper shoes... As Broxton is very rough with some of them. Or, it could be that Tsukihoshi is a Japanese brand that we just are not really familiar with. After Broxton wearing these, I can see why parents do spend more money on shoes than just always buying the cheaper brand. (If you are in the position to do so.) Broxton has decided that he wants to be like one of his big brothers and DRAG his feet now... Of course, he is told not to, but still rebels and does it from time to time. So far, I can not notice any damage on his new shoes... and I am hopeful not too... I am loving the shoes! They are c...

Why is it that children LOVE to play in adult shoes? I think it is the cutest thing... I looked over and Broxton had put one of my shoes on... At that point, he was not sure what to do next! :) The ones in daddy's boots are cuter! Will post those soon! Happy Wednesday!
