Do you give your children Halloween gifts? I know some people like to have a card and maybe a small something for a Halloween treat for their child when they wake up Halloween morning.  I have a great idea for the gift!!! Do you give gifts at Easter?  I remember the Easter Bunny coming to see me as a child.  It was fun to see my basket filled with candy and usually a stuffed animal of some sort.  My cousins always had what seemed to me to be a second Christmas.  It was insane the different gifts that they got.  I am not sure if it was all Easter Bunny, or if their parents gave them some gifts too, but either way, it was a lot of presents.  Broxton normally gets a little basket from the Easter Bunny, but nothing major. Since his birthday is in February (and Valentines is as well) he doesn't get an overload of candy. I thought I would share a few DVD options if you are looking...

Or if you know us at all, you know that Broxton used to think that Caillou was his brother!  I am not really sure how or why that started, but it did...  and we now have lots of Caillou DVD's (and even a Caillou doll!)  When I saw that Caillou had a new DVD - Big Kid Caillou...  I knew that I would like to get it for Broxton...  Especially since he will be headed back to school soon!   I did notice that he didn't watch it as intent as he normally does, so I am not sure if he is growing out of it, or if he was just preoccupied... but they had several great episodes and they were new to us too!   On this DVD:  Big Time Caillo...

If you have followed my blog for a bit, you know that Broxton just loves Caillou.  To the point that Caillou is his "brother" from time to time.. We have to watch Caillou daily and he gets excited when he sees Caillou asleep when Sprout Shows all the characters sleeping at night. We even have a Caillou doll that goes on adventures with us, so when I had the chance to add to our Caillou library, I was fast to jump aboard! The latest DVD is Caillou's Mysteries and Adventures. I wonder how they narrowed THAT down to just 12 episodes, as EVERYTHING is an adventure with Caillou.  I think that is one of the reasons I love Broxton watching this show... I feel as though Caillou gives him the desire to want to explore... It amazes me how much Broxton's mind is growing and learning every single day and wow, he can come up with adventure too! As we all know, Broxton is a big Caillou fan..  We love watching Caillou... Playing with our Caillou Doll...  Looking at Caillou online... and of course singing the Caillou song.. I was so excited to get the newest Caillou DVD for us to add to our library. We watch all the time, but there are times when Broxton just really needs to see his "brother" and come on, they just don't play Caillou 24/7... Although I am sure Broxton would love that! The latest DVD is Caillou's Outdoor Adventure. There are several great episodes on there and one of my favorites is the one where Grandma sets up all sorts of activities for Caillou and his friends to compete in the backyard for different ribbons.  Why is this one of my favorites?  Well, Clementine comes over and has on a ribbon that she just won and then Leo starts talking about how he won a ribbon before too.... We love Caillou . I have spoke of him before. Lately Broxton has been telling me that Caillou is his best friend! It cracks me up what he picks up from watching Caillou that he tells me about during the day! I was SO EXCITED to see that there was a 3 DVD Box Set of Caillou DVD's for the Holidays! We were able to review it and Broxton was so happy! The DVD's include: Caillou's Winter Wonders, Caillou's Holidays and Caillou's World of Wonder. Broxton loved each one and I love watching him smiling while watching, as if it was the first time all over again! I am telling you, I can watch that boy and his expressions all day long! When he smiles, he makes me smile a bit brighter. When he laughs, I catch myself laughing with him! The best for me? After watching these, Broxton kept saying "It's snowing" and trying to make snow angels! Love it!!!! While watching Caillou the other day... They were talking about having a picnic and what to eat to grow up big and strong. As soon as Broxton heard about the picnic, he immediately wanted one! So, I set him up his own picnic in the living room!!!!

We Love Caillou ! He comes on PBS, which just might be one of our favorite channels! The song comes on... We sing, Broxton dances... and then we watch and learn. I was so happy when Caillou Goes Back to School Arrived! I knew that Broxton would be happy, as we could put it on for road trips! I was happy because it was episodes we loved!!!! I had never seen the episode where they went to the library, so I loved watching that with Broxton . We love reading... so this was great! Top it off, Caillou and Rosie were fighting over the book and ripped the page, Broxton got to see that you have to be careful with books, so I was very pleased with that! One of my favorite episodes is when they play with magnets! Yep! The simple things! Broxton loves magnets... With this episode, they play with magnets and learn that magnets will stick to many different things. The best part is when Caillou helps his dad get something he dropped by going magnet fishing!!!
