It's the most wonderful time of the year!!!!! We love Christmas because it gives us time together... and more time to slow down and enjoy what is important.  One thing we like to do is watch movies... and at Christmas it is fun to watch Christmas movies!!!!  We normally see what is on TV, but we got rid of our cable, so now we watch the DVD's we own.  So exciting that we finally added some classics to our collection!!!! As with so many previews, they are hilarious...  When we saw the previews for DC LEAGUE OF SUPERPETS, we knew we wanted to watch it... One - we LOVE The Rock and Kevin Hart - Two - we ABSOLUTELY love the two of them together - Three- we love movies - Four- We love animated movies - and Five - we love DC Characters!!!! I don't remember how old I was, but I sure enough remember taking one of our family vacations to Graceland when I was a kid.  My mom was ELVIS OBSESSED (still is, if I am being honest!)  and that year, she decided that Graceland was the spot.  I am pretty sure we went to Tupelo, the birthplace of Elvis... and I know we went to  Memphis to the Peabody Hotel ... I will never forget those ducks getting off the elevator!  We ended up at Graceland and saw all the different rooms!    When I saw that they were making an ELVIS movie, I knew I would want to see it, and mentioned seeing it with my mom...  The plan was to go watch it in the theaters, but the weekends just would not allow for it.  When I had the chance to review it, I was quick to say yes...  As long as I can remember, Savannah has loved the Minions... When she was just a little bitty fan, she would only call them "guy"   all of them... If she spotted a movie, "There's Guy"  in the store... wherever...  We even had to make minion kindness rocks back when we first started them!  Broxton has enjoyed the movies, but not as much as Savannah and guy.  She now knows they are minions and never says "guy" (I miss that age though!)  She still loves them!  When she spotted the new movie, Minions The Rise of Gru, she wanted to go see it so bad!  Unfortunately, movies can be rather expensive these days... especially when you add in snacks.. so we don't go to see all of the ones we would like to. Now that school is back in, I want to reintroduce another great movie you can watch for family movie night.  The whole thing centers around love for people and interaction, at least that was my take on it...  So perfect for the new school year!     At some point or another, we were introduced to The Little Prince.  Not going to lie, I have never watched a King Kong movie... nor have I watched a Godzilla movie.  (Broxton swears I have, but I honestly don't remember that!)  Well, although I have never watched either, I am very familiar with the names of both.  When I heard that Godzilla vs. Kong was coming out, I knew that it would be a good one.  Broxton was so excited and could not stop talking about it, so when I had the chance to review it, I knew it was going to be a great movie night! UPDATED TO ADD: Back in February we had a movie night and enjoyed Playing With Fire... Savannah is only 4, but she is 100% her own little self.  She used to let me put her hair in ponytails and braids, but lately she says "I just need to be me!"  and will only let her hair be straight down.  I admit, I love the ponytails and braids... and as her mom, I could "make" her wear them, but I am also all about her being able to express herself how she wants and if it means her hair being down, why make a big deal out of it?   I have seen the kids with the big "JoJo Bows" I have seen friends posting on social media of taking their daughters to JoJo events... Nickelodeon has so many good shows that keeps kids attention.  We don't watch as much as we used to, but we tend to have it on in the background all the time.  The noise is just something we are used to now!  A few years ago, Broxton was invited to a party from a girl in his class and it was "Shimmer and Shine" themed.  Here we are, years later and it is still just as popular as it once was!   Are you fans of the show? Being a mom is one of the greatest blessings in my life.  I love my two children more than they will ever know.  Each one brings joy and excitement in what they like and dislike.  Broxton had Disney movies that were/are his favorite and now Savannah is coming more and more into her own as well.  She loves her a wide variety of characters, but it melts this mama's heart when she wants to play princess.  My brother gave her a dress up box of Princess clothes a few years ago and of course her theme for a birthday party was princess last year.  When Disney announced they were releasing an Anniversary Edition of Cinderella, I knew I wanted to add it to the collection.  To say we have watched it once or twice would be an understatement!  My little Cinderella! We have been trying to be better at going to the movies to see all of these wonderful movies that keep being released.  Thing is, it gets rather expensive when you buy the tickets and then what movie watching is complete without drinks and snacks?!?  We had totally planned on going to see Dumbo, but the weekend we got there to get tickets, we realized it had already left the theaters!  I honestly don't know who was more excited to see it...
