Bringing Back Grace and Stella - Valentines!

Image
*** This would be a great set to think outside the box for a Valentines gift!  From Bath Bombs to Eye Masks, they literally have you covered!!!! *** Having a boy and a girl - people tell you they are going to be so different... and boy no truer words were spoken!!!  In some ways, it is like night and day.. but then other times, it is like mirror images.  Having a little girl, it has been fun trying to do more " girly things" from time to time- she loves to try and get her brothers attention whenever she can, so she was more into Marvel Characters than Barbie. and she dressed as Darth Vader the year all the girls were little princesses.  I love it though, she is totally her OWN person and lets her personality out- she does not concern herself with others opinions (for the most part.)  I loved it when she asked me if I wanted to have a pamper day with her, so you can imagine the fun!  Sometimes our pamper days are putting on makeup (sometimes it is real makeu...

Skin Smells and Feels Great with #KeyWestAloe from @ecohomeatlanta #TreatYourself

Image
There is no hiding the fact that both of my children suffer from eczema.  Broxton had it bad as a baby and now that he is 8, it is pretty much no longer an issue.  Savannah, on the other hand, has had major issues, even more so than Broxton.  When I was invited to EcoHome in Atlanta for an author book signing, I was excited to go and see what new products would catch my attention.  While there, I spotted their display for a new (to me) product line, Key West Aloe. Opinions expressed are my own and are not influenced by monetary compensation They had a tester tube out of the Key West Aloe Lotion , so you better believe I put some on Savannah's arms to see how it would do.  You know, most lotions are either really greasy, or they are really scented and end up drying...

Life can be stressful for everyone, right? I know I am not the only one.  I am not even talking about BIG reasons to stress.  It can be anything from the stupid drivers out there... to those in school taking a test.  Yes, there are big and small issues out there, but we try to make the most out of it all.  One thing for me is to try and relax and take time for me when I can.  It can be a day at the spa, a trip to the grocery store alone or even a nice relaxing bath.  I had planned on making welcome to a new school year basket for Broxton's new teacher, but I know how people are about certain scents and I did not want to send in something she didn't like. Know what I did instead?  Made me a little care package and boy oh boy, I have been enjoying it!   FTC Compliant Review Policy:    The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency for the sole purpose of product tes...

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. It is getting closer to time for our baby to arrive, so that means I am at least thinking about packing a bag to take to the hospital.  I know I need to get my things in order, but I am a bit of a procrastinator when it comes to packing.  (I think I get it from my mom, she packs morning of the trip... I am not that bad, yet!) Anyways, I asked a few friends what they thought were must have items and I got ideas like suckers, lip balm and more... One thing I didn't think of, because we have it in almost every room?  Lotion!   Yes!!!!   Being that I have worked with Vaseline for what feels like a million years now, I knew that would be the lotion of choice!   Lucky for me, they have a new (to me...

If you remember a post from a few weeks ago, I was excited to share with you the cream that Broxton really enjoys using when it comes to his eczema flaring up.  It is called CeraVe and we have been very happy with it.  Well, today I get to tell you about their baby line!!! First of all ... BIG ANNOUNCEMENT- ALL FIVE of the Baby Care Line Products have received the NEA Seal of Acceptance. (National Eczema Association!) CeraVe has also just released two new products, that they worked with pediatric dermatologists on.  The two new products? Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. Pampering is not just for your baby.  Not to mention that your "baby" doesn't stop being your baby when it reaches a certain age.  Even though Broxton is now 5, I still baby his skin as if he was a newborn.  I see nothing wrong with that and I love how his skin feels!   We were sent The Healthy Baby Butter from Lavanila and it has been awesome putting it on Broxton and not having him freak out that it burns his skin (eczema) or that it is too cold / hot or whatever issue he wants the lotion to have.  We have used it numerous times and each time he greets it with a smile and that is what a mama wants.  This is one of the lotions he uses after bath time.  I will comment on the fact that I do wish it had a stronger sc...

I love being a mom.  Love love LOVE it... More than anything.  I know I am not perfect and I know I never will be, but I try to be the best mom I can be....  and the best mom for my son. Every now and then I need to relax and focus on me.  Not a selfish thing, but just a time to recharge and refocus on what the priorities are in my life...  The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency for the sole purpose of product testing. Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. A couple years ago, I was introduced to a scent I will never forget, Moroccan Oil.  The smell is amazing and it was great for my hair.  I had the oil (that I secretly used on my skin as well) and the shampoo / conditioner... The only problem was that it was so expensive.  I had to give up that enjoyment... But not any more! Suave has come out with their Suave Beauty line ...

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. Dry Skin a problem for you?  I am sure it gets worse with the cold weather... If your skin is one that suffers, look into trying out DerMend alpha + beta hydroxy therapy .  I have mentioned before that Marc has dry skin...  (I get it too, but not like his.)  When I was given a chance to try out the DerMend line, I knew I wanted to try it out for Marc... only problem is, he has been using several different lotions, so I can not get a true feel as to how he feels about it... I will say that I used it on my hands a few times, but honestly I wanted a scent  and this one doesn't have any....  I did use it on my feet a few times, now those jokers have not had a pedicure in some time, so they needed a bit of TLC. I did like how...

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. Yes, Broxton might be 5 now, but he will ALWAYS be my baby. That being said, I have no shame that I sometimes use "baby" products on him.  If it is "safe enough" for a baby, it is perfect for him!  We had the chance to review Little Green Nourishing Body Lotion and we love it.  I love how it moisturizes with just a little amount... and as much as he tends to HATE lotions, he never complains when this is used.  Add to it that it doesn't leave you feeling all greasy and happy mama plus happy child equals a great product! So - new mama's --- head on over and check out their baby line - shampoo/body wash, nourishing lotion, cradle cap or soothing balm...   Not so new moms, don't worry ...

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. With the summer in full swing, you know you have a few "must have" items you need... One for me?  Lotion...  I have been so lucky to have the chance to try out the new Intensive Care line from Vaseline.   (We really love the Vaseline brand already... if you remember, Marc is already obsessed with their spray .)   What was funny to me was that I was sent 3 bottles to see which ones I would fall in love with... and I sat them on the kitchen counter to take pictures of them... I came home and they were not there... I asked Marc and he said, he knew that we would be reviewing them and he wanted to go ahead and use them to see what his opinion was about them!  I busted out laughing... as he was...

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. My mom could possibly have the driest hands I know.  Like sandpaper dry - but luckily I have not had that problem... I try and keep them moisturized and lucky for me, Marc is one to always be putting lotion on his hands too!  I guess it isn't that lucky for him, since he complains of dryness ALL THE TIME.  He is constantly putting lotion on and he ALWAYS packs lotion in his overnight bag.  Since I reviewed the Vaseline Spray Lotion in the past, I was given the chance to review their new Mens Line!   I was excited to do so, knowing how much Marc uses lotion.   Equally as excited was Marc!  He was quick to say "Oh, Thank you!"  and immediately had to try it out.  How about h...
