Healthy Eating with @GardenLites (Tastes Great too!) #recipes #ad

Image
I am not sure if you are one to make resolutions or not.  I am not one, although I do try to change things up in the new year.  I don't call them "resolutions" because I mentally think they will fall faster than if I just call them changes.  One change this year?  Trying to eat healthier!  I feel like we have very little time these days... Our schedule is so busy with school and work!  To eat healthier and have  an easy option makes it that much better... add to it that it TASTES great... WINNER WINNER!!!  Want to know a secret?  Garden Lites are a hit in our house!    FTC Compliant Review Policy:    The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency for the sole purpose of product testing. Start each day with @CommunityCoffee (plus a recipe!)

Image
The older I get, I seem to enjoy coffee more and more.   I am thinking that I drink more now because I have found that Community Coffee works best for me.  I love flavored coffee and they have yet to disappoint me! I used to never drink it, then it was like 1 or 2 times a year. I have noticed that I was drinking 1 or 2 cups a week, these days I catch myself enjoying a nice cup daily. It is a four generation family that makes it and I am pretty sure that we can agree that there are generations that have passed along the love to keep them in business!  ( I can't help but notice when I see Community Coffee ads on the sid...

Trudeau has a great lineup of items to make taking lunch a breeze! (Plus a recipe!)

Image
School is in full swing here.  Lunches are packed.  Homework is completed.  Here is the thing... Broxton is not a huge fan of "sandwiches" for lunch...  He says they don't taste the same as they do at home.  We try different food idea's but it gets old (at least to me) after a while of the same things. He has decided he likes Peanut Butter sandwiches, but with classmate having severe allergies to nuts, I am not about to put anyone in danger!  We save those for home!  Broxton does love salads for lunch from time to time, but I have realized most of Broxton's lunch time is spent socializing since they can't talk and what not during the day.  (He is a social butterfly, no denying that! Gets it from me, I know!!!) We were lucky to get a new lunch lineup of items to review.  I was excited because that meant that Marc could take his lunch in nicer looking containers.  Then, Broxton saw it all and I knew it was over.  He has already plann...

Recipes and tips from Limoneira

I have always loved lemon. The taste of it reminds me of growing up with my Nana.  The smell of lemon makes me think of clean.  We were recently sent a box of juicy lemons from  Limoneira.   I did not realize how many recipes you could make with lemon, so today I get to share a few with you from Limoneira.  Enjoy!   FTC Compliant Review Policy:    The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency for the sole purpose of product testing. A book, a message and a meal!

Image
I am so excited to share with you two new books that we have recently added to our library.  You know how much we love books and with Savannah getting to the age where she is bringing me books to read to her, I know that we will continue on this journey as long as I can!   The two newest books for us are actually from a local Atlanta author.  They are not your everyday kids books, so make sure to keep reading this post to learn more!   FTC Compliant Review Policy:    The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency for the sole purpose of product testing. Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. The first book we read was Charlie's Crumbly Problem .  This book follows a chunk of cheese as he goes to school for the day.  The only problem is that he leaves a trail of cheese crumbs wherever he goes.  He is so upset by it, since som...

More than for sandwiches? #finlandiacheese with 2 recipes

Image
When you work no where near your house, you tend to take your lunch to work to save money. At least that is what we do around here.  I have been trying to change up the sandwiches around here at lunch time, so I figured I would surprise Marc with a little Ham N' Swiss since we were sent some from Finlandia!!!  Talk about a nice surprise for him!!!  Yeah, he noticed the new lunch bag, but had no clue what was in store when he opened up lunch that day!   FTC Compliant Review Policy:   The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency for the sole purpose of product testing. We were sent a few products to try out and while we have not tried it all, I did want to offer you a recipe that we will be trying with t...

Summer, perfect time for a picnic. Plus a recipe!

Image
I don't know about you, but for us, summer is for trying to take it easy.  Especially during the hot days!   Lucky for me, Broxton loves when he "gets to decide" that it is picnic day.  Even better?  The fact that he loves to have picnics inside just as much as an outdoor lunch! There is something about throwing down a blanket and eating picnic foods versus sitting at a table and eating a sandwich, at least that is the feeling here!!! We get to make quick and easy meals. Know what that means? More time for playing and making memories!    Recently, we were sent a variety of treats to change up our typical picnic from just chips, fruit and sandwiches.  Read below to see what all we were able to try!   More time with these cuties?  YES!!! I am all for it! Cool down and enjoy the beverages from @CascadeIceWater #recipe

Image
It is officially summer here!  Yep, the temperature keeps rising, the sun is shining.  I have already had my "its summer cold"  I think we are good to go!   When it gets hot, I like to try and keep cool as much as possible. We try to stay hydrated, but this family right here is not the best at drinking, so we try to make sure to have fun treat style drinks as well.  Today on the blog, I am sharing a couple recipes from Cascade Ice to make fun tasting beverages this summer. ( I am sure you can mix it up and a little extra to it to make adult cocktails too, they all sound great!)   FTC Compliant Review Policy:  The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency for the sole purpose of product testing.
