Travel Smoothly with Essentials you need!

So over the summer we took our family vacation and went to Orlando for a week  We had an amazing time and of course, made lots of memories.  To be honest, it had been a while since we really had a "vacation" so it was much needed and appreciated...  BUT- while on the vacation, we ended up needing a bandaid. I honestly don't remember what for, so it wasn't like it was an emergency, but we needed one and I was shocked to see I did not have one packed at all.  I thought I did, but when I went to look... Nope!  So Matt took off to find one - the little hotel store had some, but it was like $12 for 5 band-aids and I did not not think we needed a band-aid that bad.  Lucky for us, there was a family in the store and the mama had her husband go to their car with Matt and grabbed their first aid kit.  They saved the day that time and it made me think that I really should have a kit of my own.  I mean, hello- family of four, we always could use something fr...

MixBook Photo Co - Review

Image
If you know me AT ALL - you know I absolutely LOVE photos!  I was the one walking around with a camera in highschool... way before digital cameras and cell phones!  I have so many photos and you better believe I have tons of photo albums.  The hard thing about cell phones and photos is that I have a very hard time deleting them once I print.  I know I should delete some, to clear out space.. but I love looking back at them!  The weird thing? I read that they said this generation is THE MOST PHOTOGRAPHED generation, but also the one generation that has the least amount of PRINTED photos.  ** Not in our house, I will print those jokers in a heartbeat!  The thing is, I had the chance to review MIXBOOK and make a photo album out of my own photos, so that saved me the trouble of printing and adding to an actual album!   FTC Compliant Review Policy:    The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the ma...

Take a Ride with Sunny The Snail Mail #Review #GiftGuide

Image
I don't know about your house, but ours sure does love when mail comes.  I enjoy it to, unless it is a bill, but you know what I mean!  We have been lucky enough to have a sample of Sunny the Snail Mail sent to us for review and Savannah loves getting a weekly letter in the mail letting her know what Sunny has been up to!  It is a cute (and fun) envelope that has a letter in it, stickers and another treasure or two. Each letter tells of Sunny's adventure delivering mail to his animal friends and the things along the way.  The letters are fun and interesting, but also educational as well!  Perfect to build a love of reading at a young age and they get fun keepsakes as well!  (The latest for us included a postcard she could color along with her letter and stickers!)   FTC Compliant Review Policy:    The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency for the sole purpose of ...

Planning our #Biloxi trip #Margaritaville is on the list! (Again!)

Image
So, today is July 4th and most people are out celebrating, me?  I am sitting at home planning our trip to Biloxi.  We go each summer, but didn't get to go last year, obviously.  We are headed out soon and we are all looking forward to it.  It cracks me up when people hear I am taking the kids to Biloxi, but they are always surprised to know there is fun for the kids too!  FTC Compliant Review Policy:    The product(s) featured in this rev iew were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency for the sole purpose of product testing. Opinions expressed are  my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. A few years ago, Margaritaville opened in Biloxi and since then, we have added that as a must stop for our trip!  We absolutely love going there!  Once you arrive, they have a nice parking area.  You can choose to valet, or self park.  You head on inside and go up the escalator.  T...

Army Aviation Museum on Dothan Alabama @visit_dothan

Image
If you know my boy, you know I have raised him to be thankful and appreciative of our military.  When I found out there was an Army Aviation Museum near Dothan, I knew that I would do anything in my power to get him there to see what all was inside.  The first day, we got there and it was almost closing time, so we planned to go back the next day.  Seeing his excitement and interest in everything made it totally worth while... but let me just tell you ...  This is not like any musuem I have been in before!  It was awesome!   He was so excited to check it all out!   This was the Hall of Heroes.  No, I don't need any comments on her mask.. We were constantly trying to fix it for her, this was when we first got in side.  I thought this was so cool. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE HOT AIR BALLOONS... and I had no idea they were first used in the military!   One of the first planes.  She was excited as she thought the map of the museum ...

Each year we go to Biloxi for a family get away.  It is usually a celebration for my birthday, but also a little family vacation before school starts back.  The last several years we make a day trip and drive over to New Orleans.  (If you have never been, you should totally go.. the food there is AMAZING!) The last couple years, I noticed the Insectarium and told myself to do more research as to what exactly this was.  I am NOT a fan of bugs, so I was not about to point this place out to Broxton...  Well, I checked it out online and it actually looked interesting. This year, I decided to see if we might be able to go check it out on our day trip.   FTC Compliant Review Policy:    The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency for the sole purpose of product testing. Summer Travel saved with @plugable #ad

Image
I don't know if your family likes technology as much as ours does, but I wanted to share with you a couple pretty neat products I have recently learned about.  Are you familiar with Plugable?  We were recently sent a couple products to check out and I am telling you, the 3 port smart charger (pictured below) was a huge help!  FTC Compliant Review Policy:    The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency for the sole purpose of product testing. Opinions expressed are  my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. We recently took a family vacation and made a trip to the beach.  In my car, you can just plug the phone cord into the car, but in the car we took, I needed an adapter.  I don't know about you, but when you are ready to go, you really don't want to stop to buy things as you head out of town.  That was where the plugable 3 port smart charger came in...

No need to worry with Stouffer's in the freezer! #TasteFitKitchen #ad

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. # TasteFitKitchen  #CollectiveBias When I was pregnant with Savannah, I got really nervous as to what my husband and son would eat while I was in the hospital.    I knew we really didn't need to add "dining out" to our list of bills since we would be having the hospital bill, as well as new baby expenses, to take care of.  I went and grabbed a few frozen dinners to have on hand for them and was super lucky when my moms group started bringing us meals to eat the first few weeks of adjustment to life with a newborn.  I sure do wish that STOUFFER’S ® FIT KITCHEN™ would have been on my radar then, as we have been enjoying the new dishes that are now available.   When we go out of town, daddy isn't always able to take off and go as well.  We both know that after working all day, he is not about to come home and cook himself a meal. I have made meals i...

Ready to eat and tasty too! @GoPicnic

Do things slow down a bit for you once school lets out, or are things still crazy?  I used to think that summer break meant BREAK for everyone, but I have quickly learned that is not the case.  Yes school may be out, but it takes a good while for my son to get the sleep schedule changed.  Honestly, I would prefer he keeps it, as it makes back to school a bit easier but hey... I remember loving to sleep in when I was younger.  Just hope he gets to do it some, as his "sleeping in" has him waking up around 8 am. Anyways, with summer break, we seem to stay busy and I like it, as I don't have to hear "I'm bored" all the time.  What are summer breaks like?  You could have family come visit, you could be planning vacations, maybe you do plenty of summer camps? At the end of the day, the bottom line is this.. we stay busy and it is good to know that there are "ready to eat meals" like the ones from Go Picnic. FTC Compliant Review Policy: The p...
