Snacking Good with @SlammersSnacks #ad

Image
I don't know about your house... but these days of being home more and virtual learning (COVID19)  my kids seem to have forgotten their "school stomach" and think they can snack all day long.  I know I am not the only one since I see the meme's on facebook!  Lucky for us, we were introduced to Organic Slammers several years ago and both kids (not gonna lie, mama too!) love these and they are great snacks!  Not only do they taste good, they are good for them!  Some people are not familiar with them, so I thought I would post a friendly reminder for anyone else that might need good snack ideas! The Rise of Skywalker Light - Saber Battles #ad

Image
Let me back track a bit... So, back in March Broxton had a picnic at school and I am so thankful that my mom was able to take the time to go and enjoy his 5th grade picnic with him... because the next day was a teacher workday and she had both kids at home with her..   BOOM - COVID 19 hit and that was the last day they were in school.  There was a good while that they stayed with her for me to work and there was time that I was home with them as well.  We did the home school / virtual learning ... but we also had lots of time to enjoy together.  I was not about to have that whole time be about "book learning" I wanted to enjoy that time with my kids and look at it as a blessing.  They grow up so fast as it is, so that little time to enjoy with them was wonderful. We were given the opportunity to review THE RISE OF SKYWALKER and being that my kiddos LOVE Star Wars, I was happy to surprise them with the movie!  We had a movie DAY. We had virtual learnin...

Guess Who's Back???

Whoa.  To say that 2020 started out as anything less than would be an understatement.  I mean, I just looked and saw that I have not blogged in quite a while.  Not that I have not wanted to, just because... well, LIFE. I am not going to bore you with what all has been going on here, but I did want to let you know that I am back and will try to get back into blogging more often.   I will tell you this - I planned to blog like normal, but then we had internet issues... As in my cell phone bill has been SKY HIGH because while I thought I was online ... I was using my data.  Add to it that we actually had to have them come out to repair issues for internet and cable...  Got that up and going... then more issues.  Then LIFE - then went to no internet... but I am back and ready.  Did you miss me?  I sure enough missed you!  I have been on Instagram still, so I wasn't completely off the grid!  Stay with me, lots to catch up with from ...

Walking for my mama #CancerSurvivor

Image
As some know... and some may just be learning... My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer last year. While it was 100 % something we did not want to hear, we were thankful / blessed that it was caught when it was.  She was able to start chemo (and she rang that bell back in October!)  After a very short break, she started radiation (and again... SHE RANG THAT BELL back in January.) All of her family and friends are so very proud of her!!!!  So - she rang the BELL and now we walk to tell the TALE. She is a CANCER SURVIVOR!!!!!!!!  If you would like to join our team or donate... Here is the link: http://ppmh.convio.net/goto/ DebbiesDiamondsTeam Thanks in advance!

Hot Wheels Live in Albany, Georgia! #hosted

Albany, Georgia was lucky enough to have Hot Wheels Live Monster Trucks this past weekend. Sadly, people complain that there is never anything to do in town.. but they have been bringing more and more events.   This was another family friendly event that people could enjoy!   We had a busy weekend, but made it a point to go and check it out.   We got to the event in time for the Crash Party and I am so glad we did!   Savannah has always had a fascination with Monster Trucks, so I was excited to see her expressions.  Broxton used to love them when he was younger, but you know...  He is 10 now and thinks he is grown...   So- let me tell you about our time!  (Side note, Savannah has decided that she is a HUGE fan of Christian - The Hot Wheels #1 driver... there will be a different post about him!  Stay tuned! ) (This is Savannah and Christian.)  FTC Compliant Review Policy:    The product(s) featur...

Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live is heading to Albany, Georgia! #giveaway #hosted

If you follow me on social media, you know that I am all about #makingmemories with my kiddos.  I love my job, I love my friends... but family is what it is all about.  I have to admit, my hometown of Albany, Georgia doesn't really have much as far as things to do / events for my #makingmemories moments, but I can honestly say that they are trying to step it up!  When I was younger, there were several events at the Civic Center, from concerts to sports and it was always a good time.  As I got older (and the Civic Center did, too) the number of events started to dwindle and Broxton even asked a few times why it just sat there deserted.  Now...  there are events coming and we need to get the community behind to support those that come and open up an invitation to others to check us out!!!   The next "family" event headed down is the HOT WHEELS MONSTER TRUCK in February.  I hope that as events head down to Albany that I have the opportunity to ...
