Clean Living, requires Splat Mat!!!!


Am I the only one that wonders why most apartments put carpet EVERYWHERE but the kitchen and bathroom? I would LOVE to have a NON carpeted eating area! Especially with a little one!
We clean up the floor after every meal, but wouldn't it be nice to be able to sweep/mop it?
The carpet can get stains and then you are always on your hands and knees cleaning with a cleaning solution!!!

Not anymore at this house!
Have you heard of the Splat Mat?
I think this is a must have if you have a little one.
I mean, eating is hard enough to learn at that age...
Well, eating NEATLY is! :)
The Splat Mat is a big help!
You can pick from three designs!
Oh, they are not some cheesy looking plastic thing either!

These Splat Mat's are 52" and they are ROUND!
The one I was sent for review was the Brown Flourish.
You can use it for art projects or for food...
We have been using it for food.
Art will come soon enough!

I really like how big it is.
I mean, it seems a lot bigger than other mats I have seen...
It covers such a wide area underneath him.
LOVE that!
The only thing I would change would be maybe a lighter brown versus the white for the design.
Why?
Well, when he was eating rice the other night...
I just knew I had cleaned it all up.
Then, I noticed a few grains of rice that I missed...
They were hiding on the white area!
Really, that is not that big of a deal...
I am just saying... IF.

So, if you are like me...
Carpet under the eating area just doesn't cut it.
(Especially on spaghetti night!)
The Splat Mat is only $19.99 and I think that is very reasonable!

The other item I was sent for review was the Paci Pouch.
Now, luckily for us...
Broxton was never big on the Paci.
BUT, from the stories of my friends...
Had he been, this would have been a must!


Just what is a Paci Pouch?
It is an adorable little purse/pouch to hold the paci.
You can clip it to your stroller/diaper bag.
Even throw it in your purse!
Priced at only $8.00, I think it is a great price for sanity!
Just keeping an extra handy is a great idea!
They are also big enough to hold 2 paci's!
What a great back up plan!!!!
(And this keeps it clean as well!)
They zip closed, but the other great thing is the strap snaps.
That way you can open it and snap it around whatever you need it close to!
Oh, did I mention they are totally washable?!

BooginHead has really smart products!
I mean, the Splat Mat and the Paci Pouch are awesome...
But look at their site and see the other great products!

    Boy the paci pouch is a great idea. I usually find my baby boys on the floor,under the cushions of the couch, mixed in with the dirty clothes. I even once found one floating in the fish tank! But I think my 10 year old had something to do with that.

    And the Splat Mat I sure do wish they had when my older ones were younger. I ended up using a towel and then finally figured out that I could buy a cheap plastic tablecloth but then once the tablecloth went down-they stopped dropping food.

    I think the paci bed looks like another great product! I guess I am a bit of a paci protect freak but considering where I have found you wouldn't know it.
