Halloween Reading With Disney #DocMcStuffins #SpiderMan

Whenever we go to the store during the holidays, we always see plenty of books that are themed with the upcoming holiday.. and they always have the characters we know and love.  This time around, we get to have some of these books in our house!!!  Halloween is one of Marc's favorite holidays and I love knowing that we can have Halloween themed books out for Broxton to get into the season and enjoy reading at the same time!  

Boo to You - Available 7/22/2014 

Up first?  A perfect Touch and Feel Doc McStuffins book!  Boo to You! 
This is a great board book for young ones, with adorable illustrations!   

In Boo to You, we are greeted with Doc and her dad getting ready for Halloween.  The problem is that one of their decorations isn't working...   Doc takes the pumpkin in for a check up and we get to meet the cute little ghost, Sebastian.  Each page presents us with an object to touch and feel, from a decorative bat to Lambies costume ears!  Although the illustrations are super cute, I loved the story the most...  Little Sebastian is scared and Doc points out that although everything is made to LOOK scary, it is all pretend and there is nothing to be scared about!  

Spider-Man vs. Dracula - Available 7/22/2014

 The other book?  Spider-Man vs. Dracula!  This is a great book for those that are superhero character fans.  Broxton was not familiar with Dracula before this book, but now he is!  He really enjoyed getting to meet the other characters from THE HOWLING COMMANDOS!  We both were delighted in learning of new characters and it was cute that there was a story going on each page, but at the bottom was a little comment, or thought from Spiderman about what was going on in the text of the story!  

Of course, most people know that Broxotn is a big fan of stickers, so when he saw that there were stickers in this book, that added to his excitement!  Now, he is just trying to figure out if he wants to put the stickers in the book, in his sticker book or elsewhere!  

These are great books to give to get into the Halloween Mood.... You could also give these as party favors to kids if you wanted to go that way instead of even more Halloween candy!
