Had a blast at @SesameStLive # SesameStreetLive

This past weekend was a great one, being that I was able to take the kids to see Sesame Street Live!  Let's Party!  As I have mentioned before, Savannah LOVES Elmo, so I was thrilled when I got the invitation to go check out their live show.  I was worried for a bit, since Savannah wasn't feeling well... but the crew on Sesame Street must have made her feel better!

Once the show started, her eyes were glued to the stage. She was laughing and giggling and dancing in her seat the whole time. I will be honest, I didn't even read the information about the show, I just knew that I wanted to take her to see it.  Now that I have been, I am telling you... If you and your kids love Sesame Street, you will love this show!!!!  The show is Sesame Street Live!  Let's Party!  It starts with 2 kids on Sesame street wanting to have a party... one wants a SUPERHERO theme and the other wants a BEACH theme.  They have the audience cheering for the theme they want..   Next thing you know, Big Bird is there and he is wanting a theme of his own.
I loved that each character had their own one on one time on the stage.  The kids (not just mine, but all of them!) Were yelling and squealing with excitement as each of their "friends" showed up on stage.  Since it is Sesame Street Live!  (and geared for younger kids,) it had a brief intermission and then back for more!   It was long enough to make you feel like you got the value of your ticket, but it was also short enough to keep kids of all ages entertained!
I just love this photo!  She had been so sick, but was so excited to go see Elmo!  She got this bag and ended up wearing it as a hat!  As you can see, Broxton enjoyed it too! (He even made a big deal about not wanting to go, since he isn't a baby, but admitted that he had a great time and was glad I made him!)

Here is the Official Press Release:
From the moment the curtain rises, parents and children alike will be on their feet dancing along to a pop-infused soundtrack with new Sesame Street friends and live emcees Casey and Caleb. Planning a party isn’t easy when everybody has a different idea of fun, but with some help from the audience, it becomes the ultimate reflection of what friendship plus teamwork can accomplish. Party guests will sing along to new and familiar songs, like “I Love Trash” and “C is for Cookie,” with Oscar the Grouch and Cookie Monster; dance to the beat with Elmo; explore a wintry wonderland when Abby Cadabby’s magic goes awry; take flight with Big Bird to learn about some of his fabulous feathered friends; and discover new cultures in an interactive Spanish lesson with Rosita. A unique, up-close-and-personal pre-show experience will be offered at an additional charge prior to select performances, allowing families the opportunity to tour the on-stage neighborhood of their favorite, furry friends before they arrive for the main show. The fun doesn’t end there. A variety of interactive activities give children the chance to create, discover and learn as they help decorate for the upcoming party.

Make sure to check out the site to see where they are headed next!
