The imagination of a child... The Moon Thief - #Review #RaisingAReader

Ever since I can remember, Savannah has loved moons.  The stars and the moon are something she always points out!  When I had the chance to review The Moon Thief, I knew we would both love it!  Before we opened the book, she  was so excited !  I loved that it showed the creative imagination of a child that was thinking someone was stealing the moon... oh to be young again!

PRESS RELEASE:

Adventurous Children’s Tale Seeks to Identify The Moon Thief

Reno, NV, Feb. 10, 2022 — Something terrible is happening in a small, rural town! An adventurous little boy with a fantastical imagination discovers that the moon is getting smaller by the day, and a mysterious thief must be stealing it! It is up to him and his dog, Luna, to bring it back.

The Moon Thief, from Kristine Keck, ignites children's imaginations and prompts them to ponder the wonders of the world in which they live. When a courageous young boy becomes fascinated with the changing moon, he discovers a dark and mystifying land of shadows, dancing and laughter. It is here where he comes face-to-face with The Moon Thief.

At the story's end, readers will discover an easy-to-understand explanation and accompanying diagram to help teach children the real reasons why the moon changes, along with a fun calendar on which kids can track the moon’s phases.

With beautifully rich, painted illustrations by Heidi Barnett, The Moon Thief is ideal for children ages 6-12 and encourages them to read, explore and wonder!
