While everyone was getting ready for Football Season to start (okay, I was too.. but not as much as the past... remember, I am still sick !)  and Broxton was busy watching Read Along DVD's... I was quietly preparing to enjoy seeing Jana Kramer break out from her One Tree Hill image in my mind to see how she would handle the big screen... Yep, I was sent the Heart of the Country DVD and I was excited to see it... Not to mention, I love her voice, so I knew I was going to get to enjoy her singing!!!! Sure as to be expected, the movie started with her singing and I was smiling all ready! I will admit, I have decided to try and forget what all the different movies are about, that way when I watch them, I have n...

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. We love the Ripley's Books around here...  I was excited when we were sent the newest one, Ripley's Believe It or Not - Dare To Look  2013 .  This is the 10th "annual" book from Ripleys.  I had no idea...   At first, I wanted to save it for a Christmas gift for Marc, but then I thought about it... I knew he would love to look at in now. Yes, I went ahead and gave it to him then...  Know what he did? He sat in that chair and flipped through pretty much every page until he was finished with the book...  Then, he and Broxton looked through it again. I have not had a chance to look at it yet, but Marc has called me over on numerous times to have me look at something that he found...

I Want My Mommy

So, I wake up with a sore throat... I did not really think much about it, since when the weather starts doing the hot/cool days... I most always catch a quick cold.  Not to mention, Broxton is back in school and I helped with AWANA.. so we have been around plenty of kids (Broxton had a small cough too) Then, the next day.. It got a bit worse... I googled home remedies and made up a concoction of honey, garlic and cayenne pepper... Sounds NASTY... not great, but I did keep it down... I will say it did bring relief for a bit... Day three, I was dying... I told Marc I just knew I would feel better if I cut a few slits in my face to let the pressure in my sinus cavities have a way to escape... I tell you... it was bad...  Miserably bad... Finally, I could not take it anymore... I did not want to get anyone else sick... So, I sucked it up and headed to the doctor... Not pictured : My ear drops (as I have been on them already and they were not near the new medical supply!) ...

Snugli Baby Carriers

Image
* I will be reviewing a Snugli Booster Seat... I was not required to post this, but thought it was too cute not to do so. With the Royal Baby in the news, this Union Jack Snugli Baby Carrier would be great to have... I tell you now, I am not pregnant... but when/if we do have another baby... I think that this would be an awesome print design to have in a baby carrier.    I was checking out the Snugli site and I tell you now, they have so many options to chose from... Front Carrier, Vented Carrier, Front & Back Carrier and the Front, Back & Hip Carrier... They seem to have several great patterns to choose from and if you are like me and not really sure what carrier you want... You can click the COMPARE button to see what works best for you!!! Make sure you come back to see the Snugli Booster Seat that I have for review... I am in LOVE and I am not even the one in it!!!

Socks or Shoes? Crisis Avoided!!!

Image
With school being back in, life is starting to somewhat settle down... I say that, but we shall see... I did want to share with you something: We went to get Broxton a new pair of shoes for school. (The older boys all got their new shoes at the start of summer... but we waited for Broxton.  You know, at that age, who knows what "thing" is going to be what he is all excited about!) Well, he wanted Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle shoes... and was SO EXCITED to get them. We even made him wait to wear them the first time for the first day of school... He was so thrilled about these shoes (I do love the bright green soles) so I had to take a picture to document this for when he is older....     But then, get this...  Morning of, he was all happy and ready to go... Until he realized that the shoes were going to cover up his Angry Bird socks and he wanted to be able to show his socks to his teacher and friends...   I am talking about he decided that he did not...
