Give more than a book. Give a Love of Reading!
With Christmas coming faster than I can think, I am really crunching down on what all gifts I need to still get. As I have mentioned before, I love giving books and I think they are gifts that really keep on giving. You give a book, but they get so much... They get to travel into the book and escape to the land between the pages. They (hopefully) get a love of reading. They get books to learn and explore and loved ones also get precious snuggle time!

We were sent two new books to add to our library and one will be wrapped and added to our Christmas Countdown. Jingle Paws by Margaret Wise Brown (you know, Goodnight Moon) is the book I am talking about! Just as our kids get excited for Santa to come and visit, bringing treats on Christmas Eve, this book lets us see the excitement in pets having their own "Santa" A.K.A. "Jingle Paws" that arrives bearing goodies! This was a cute book and I can not wait to see Broxton giggling as he reads it before bed!
The other book we received will be making a wonderful gift this year... Just having a hard time deciding which baby I want to introduce the love of reading to with the book Hello, Chick! This book is a peek-a-boo adventure that has us turning the pages seeing all of the farm animals. As we reach the last page, we get to see all of the animals on the farm! This is a board book that will provide lots of smiles as the little one turns the pages and sees all of the babies on the farm!
This is why I want my own library :)
