If you know us, you know we love books around here!  When my nephew was born, I knew that we would be passing along books to him to hopefully love and enjoy like us.  We have given him several books and Savannah will try and read to him if he sits long enough...  I was given a chance to review a new collection of books to add to their ever growing library...  Talk about memories!!!  When both of my kiddos were little, we loved Elmo, so it was exciting to see an Elmo book!  Another one was from the "How to Catch" series... A new year means new things around here... Well, not really "new" things, but moving on.  We love to read around here and I honestly think that every room has at least a couple books in there.  You might even find one or two in the hall at times!  What I meant with new things is that I want to come up with a new reading plan for the new year. We try to read each day, but I want to make it fun and plan activities with it.  Right now, Savannah is using the new books she got for Christmas to make paths in the living room. Sometimes she uses it as a "balance beam" to walk on them and not touch the floor (you know, the "LAVA!"  thanks to Big Brother...)  I am trying to get her to use them to straddle when she walks, as I don't want them messed up... but they are actually holding up really good right now!  Ha!!!! I love books and love that my children seem to love them as well.  We have them in pretty much every single room in our house.  They are in the car, when I take my purse, I normally have one or two small ones in there for Savannah. Not too long ago she went to the dentist. (FIRST TIME! Mommy's baby is NOT a baby anymore!)  Since both of the kids had appointments, I knew we were going to be there for a bit, so I brought a book for each one. Around here, it is almost time for Winter Break.  I can not say it is almost time for winter, as it sure doesn't feel like it. Yesterday we were enjoying temperatures in the 70's,.. doesn't feel that "wintery" yet around here.  With the colder temperatures (hopefully) on the way and school almost out for a few weeks, we will be looking for something fun and exciting to do INDOORS if it gets too bad outside.  I was excited when a package arrived with a cute selection of board books.
