 To say that COVID changed things is an understatement.  Before COVID, we used to go to the movies and have a movie date at least once a month.  Sometimes it was just the kids and I, other times it was with the grandparents as well.  It was always a great day and the kids and I were always so excited.  Once COVID hit, things changed and we stayed indoors.  Movies were no longer a place to go and experience, but you better believe that when they announced we could watch a NEW DISNEY MOVIE at home (Yay, thanks for Disney Plus!) It just made sense to me.  We had snacks, we had drinks, we had the movie and the cold temps and the darkness... I grew up with several of the Disney Classics and I have pretty much loved them all. I have been so excited that I was able to share my love of them with Broxton (and find new ones we love just as much!)  Now, I get to continue to share the love and creativity with Savannah.  The cool thing with now is that many of these classics I love are being released as live action, so we both get to experience something new  I loved Aladdin when it came out and the soundtrack is just as great now as it was back then!  I knew this was going to be on my list to share with both of my kiddos.  I just did not know that they would get to see the live action version before me!    I will be honest, I was not really sure if I was going to like the "new version" since the old one was such a great one... but I was totally shocked!  I loved it!  It made me even more jealous that the kids got to see it before me! Being a mom is one of the greatest blessings in my life.  I love my two children more than they will ever know.  Each one brings joy and excitement in what they like and dislike.  Broxton had Disney movies that were/are his favorite and now Savannah is coming more and more into her own as well.  She loves her a wide variety of characters, but it melts this mama's heart when she wants to play princess.  My brother gave her a dress up box of Princess clothes a few years ago and of course her theme for a birthday party was princess last year.  When Disney announced they were releasing an Anniversary Edition of Cinderella, I knew I wanted to add it to the collection.  To say we have watched it once or twice would be an understatement!  My little Cinderella! We have been trying to be better at going to the movies to see all of these wonderful movies that keep being released.  Thing is, it gets rather expensive when you buy the tickets and then what movie watching is complete without drinks and snacks?!?  We had totally planned on going to see Dumbo, but the weekend we got there to get tickets, we realized it had already left the theaters!  I honestly don't know who was more excited to see it... Have you seen a good movie lately that you can't stop talking about?  That is the way I am right now with the movie, Coco.  I knew it was a Disney Pixar movie, so I knew it was going to be a good one.  I also saw posts from friends where they warned of people cutting onions in the theater or them being awful dusty because their eyes were watering...  PEOPLE - I thought I had dusted well and that the onions had been thrown away, but I was wrong.  Coco will pull at your heartstrings!   YES, it will! When Broxton was little, he was so in love with the movie, Cars. Lightning McQueen was just so super cool to him. That was why I was excited to get to take him to Disney and let him get his picture in front of him, years ago.  My "baby boy" might not be a "baby" anymore, but when Cars (or Cars 2) comes on, he will watch it with us, as we always stop to watch it out of habit and love. I am so excited that Cars 3 is headed our way, so I wanted to share this with you all. We recently had the opportunity to go and see Octonauts Live in Atlanta.  It was their first tour in the USA and it was great!!!  I was not sure how Savannah was going to do, but her eyes were glued to the stage pretty much the whole time.  It was also our first time at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center and that was a very nice venue and AWESOME for kids!!!! I am always about making memories with my children and I can add another to our list of adventures. Disney on Ice skated into Atlanta for a show and I was lucky enough to be able to plan a mother / daughter day with her to go while Broxton was in school. It gets better though.... Calling all Octonauts!! Calling all Octonauts!!!
