Update - For some reason, I was feeling a bit nostalgic and wanted to watch Mister Rogers' Neighborhood this weekend.  Maybe its the fact of simpler times (in a time when we need his words of wisdom more than ever.)  All I know is that I put it on and Savannah immediately said she did not want to watch it.  I went on about my plans and about half a minute into the show, she was once again glued to the screen.  It hit my heartstrings and I even had to post a small clip on my Instagram.  We ended up watching several episodes this morning and I am pretty sure that was just what I needed today!    When I was a child, my parents both worked and I went to daycare.  I can clearly remember us sitting to watch TV each afternoon while we waited for our parents to pick us up.  We would watch tv and they would call us one by one to wash our hands and face and fix our hair after a long day of learning and playing.. but what I also remember was watching Mi...

With Savannah being in preschool, she gets to have fun play time each day with her new little friends.  They play with toys and have a  great time and one of the things she likes (again) is Monster Trucks.  They get to take toys for show and tell and she has requested to take hers a few times.  I bet all of the kids there would love to have a day to watch Blaze and The Monster Machines - Ninja Blaze!!!   The best of it all... Nickelodeon has so many good shows that keeps kids attention.  We don't watch as much as we used to, but we tend to have it on in the background all the time.  The noise is just something we are used to now!  A few years ago, Broxton was invited to a party from a girl in his class and it was "Shimmer and Shine" themed.  Here we are, years later and it is still just as popular as it once was!   Are you fans of the show? Paw Patrol is on a roll!  Paw Patrol Ultimate rescue is one of the latest DVD's that Nickelodeon has released.  I am not sure if I have told you or not, but our cable/internet goes out all of the time.  When the hurricane happened (LAST OCTOBER) we were out for months... I am still in awe as to how popular those Ninja Turtles still are... YEARS LATER! Blaze and the Monster Machines have never really been a favorite for Savannah, but let me tell you this... I know lots of little kids that love it!  We have actually gifted several Blaze DVDs and talk about happy kids!  I think that we might need to watch this one, as it is Robot Riders and Savannah cracks me up about Robots!  Are you guys fans of Blaze and the Monster Machines? Hard to imagine Shimmer and Shine have their sixth DVD coming out... Savannah has loved Paw Patrol since the first time she watched it...
