We were recently invited to go to attend the Grand Opening of Bugs Bunny's Boomtown at Six Flags Over Georgia and I could not pass up such a fun time!   The big brothers came up for the day and it was full of fun. (Not even the rain could make us leave!) As a child, I remember taking vacations to Atlanta.  I have been to Six Flags on more than one occasion though the years.  Actually, when I first moved to Atlanta in college, my roommate and I bought Season Tickets because we were going to go often enough for it to be worth it for us.  I hate to admit it, but ever since I had Broxton, I have not been a fan of motion like that.  I can't do roller coasters, trampolines and even car rides drive me crazy. Plans for spring break?  I know some people plan trips, some plan staycations and some don't plan anything at all.  I am not one to judge,so don't worry about that here.  I have recently learned that some places have "mini camp" type events planned for spring break that is basically a sneak peak to their camps they offer during the summer.  While I LOVE the thought of that, as well as the thought of sending Broxton to a day camp of some sorts, lets just be totally honest.  It is not in the budget.  Remember, we have a new baby!!!!   That is fine with ALL of us,as we find ways to make the most out of our summers as it is!  I did want to share two camps that I recently learned about...

We seem to have scrap wood laying around here from time to time.  I honestly don't know where some of it comes from, but a few months ago, Broxton set out to build a "homeless animal house" for our outdoor friends.  He simply placed pieces of wood together, sort of like a house of cards and then put in a few leaves and acorns.  This boy of mine, I tell you.. He has my heart!  Well, about a week ago, he got in his head he wanted to BUILD a bird house, from that wood.  So, he asked daddy to help him out.  Daddy ended up building the house and Broxton got to paint it.  I tell you, it is the little things in life, don't forget it!  The house was built, the house was painted, he knew where he wanted to put it and the next day when he was at school, daddy surprised him and put it up.  Sure enough, as soon as we got home, Broxton noticed... Not only the birdhouse was out and ready, but we already had birds going in there to check it out! ...

I know that Dora is very popular among girls, but as long as he is loving it... I am too!   Actually, one of his teammates on the baseball team has a little sister that is a HUGE Dora fan - she has the backpack, the shoes and all the other things...  I think it is awesome that they incorporate educational things, such as learning Spanish, in this show... you can imagine the benefit for kids that are learning additional languages...  When they are adults, it will really help them out!!!  At least I think it will!  Well, Nickelodeon is helping you help entertain and educate your little on...

He acted sort of out of it... and he never really asks to watch TV that much...  As soon as he got home from school, he asked if he could watch Bubble Guppies - I was so happy that we had recently been sent their newest DVD...
