It is so hard to find a great gift for several people in my family.  I admit that I am not the easiest to buy for either, but I can't help it.  When I am looking for gifts (for those on my list as well as to put on my list for people that are asking) I try to think of something special.  I want it to mean something and that is hard to do at times. I was recently introduced to a company called " from you to me" that makes beautiful journals.  Now, you might be thinking, " I don't need any stinking journal!"  but when you see this book, I am pretty sure your mind will change. They have journals for moms, dads, grandparents, kids, cooks and more!   I want to tell you about two that grabbed my

Babies can't stay on bottles forever.  That is why they make a wide variety of cups for our little's to try out.  I know with Broxton, I had to try so many to find the one that worked best for us.  (Also, I will admit that I waited a bit too long to introduce the cups, not making that mistake twice!)  I just wanted to introduce a few different cups from Evenflo for you to check out!   Advance Trainer Cup:  ( 6 months)  Silicone soft spout with flow restriction great for baby’s first cup Promotes smooth transition from bottle to cup Soft Spout is gentle on teeth and gums Unique handle is easy to hold from any angle Lids are compatible with Evenflo Advanced cups and WIDE mouth bottles BPA Fr

A bit ago I shared a new DVD featuring The Miz from the WWE.  It is called Santa's Little Helper and while I didn't think the acting was amazing (I hate to admit that I have never been a huge fan of The Miz) it did have a great story line. Truthfully, I don't see the fan base that they have (WWE's The Miz and Paige)  really commenting on the acting... (My son thought it was a great movie) but I did want you aware that it will not being winning any awards anytime soon.  Anyways... Santa's Little Helper has The Miz as the bad guy, IMAGINE THAT!!!!   He is a business man that has so much to learn! He ends up being selected to be "Santa's Helper" but there is an elf that thinks she is better

Actually, his list really isn't that long at all this year, (surprised me!)  but it was pretty specific.  He wants toy guns! Imagine that, all the little ones that I know love pretend play like that.  He actually used to have a water gun type thing for the bathtub, but I made him get rid of it, since it was making more of a mess than I was prepared for!  Well, I did not want to get a gun that he was going to want to be shooting all over the house, but I think that Santa might have found a pretty good idea for him!   Bug Attack from the ZURU product line!!!!   It is a rapid fire blaster that comes wit

I love it because at the most random times, I see that Broxton is watching and picking up something new and that makes it so exciting.  it is more than just entertainment, it is educational too!   Check out two new titles from PBS that does just that:  Odd Squad - Reindeer Games   I am still fairly new to Odd Squad, but I know that Broxton LOVES watching this show and it is teaching him math.  His teachers all talk about how well he does in math, so it can't be hurting him to see this one!    Word World - Merry Christmas  I know that Savannah is still a bit young, but I remember Broxton used to enjoy watching Wor

Growing up, I can remember spending the night with my Nana and us watching such great funny shows like Carol Burnett and Hee Haw, so to see that they are now being released on DVD, well, it just brings a bit of nostalgia to me!   Imagine my excitement to see this, being in my 30's ... so I know there are others out there that will be just as excited (or maybe more) to see this too!  Make sure to check it out and see if there is someone you want to grab this for on your list! Every legend has a beginning.  And this past September, Time Life released the very first steps of a TV icon with THE CAROL BURNETT SHOW: THE LOST EPISODES .  Featuring original broadcast episodes from Seasons 1-5 (1967-1972) not seen si

Do you have a son (or daughter) that is in elementary school and talks about this all the time?  I know I am not alone, since I hear it 24/7 at my house and I hear ALL the kiddo's talking about it when I am at the school visiting.  It is crazy how things spread and become so popular for youngsters these days!!!   It seems like it was just last year he was getting into watching these different You Tube Video's of all this minecraft stuff... Here we are now with him seeing the commercials for the Tube Heroes (the people on the videos he watches) and now he thinks he just has to have it all!   (He did recently get one of th

When you have a daddy that is military, it seems like you are naturally drawn to it as well, at least that is how it seems at our house.  For as long as I can remember we have had ARMY men around and when we were introduced to the Lil' Troops Line from Party Animal a while back, I knew that it would eventually end up in our arsenal of toys!   I just did not know how much he would love them and that he would treat them differently from the other ARMY men he already has.   We have a few of the soldiers, but when I saw that they would be releasing them in Collectible Sets, I just knew that would be loved if unwrapped under the tree this year!   Lucky for us, we were given the chance to review them, so when Christ

As I mentioned before how Broxton is into board games right now, I found another game that I hope Santa brings him!!!  The game is Monkeys Up and it is a fun game that can be played in a group, or individually.    The great thing about this game is that it uses numbers and luckily he is all about math these days!!! Please note that it says " FLIP'EM, SWITCH'EM and STEAL'EM"  What gamer doesn't like "stealing them" to be part of the way to play and win in a fun fast paced game?   This game consists of red plastic monkeys.  They have either a number (up to 15) or an X on the bottom.  You also have 1 die that has words like steal, flip or switch on it.  This game can be playe

Having a 6 year old son, you can only imagine the different phases that we go through with entertainment around here.  I am so excited that he is at the stage now where he loves family game night / day.  There are some weekends where he wakes up wanting to play different games and you better believe that we enjoy them over school breaks too!  It doesn't have to be a game NIGHT for us to have fun, we make it a great time day and night!!!!  (We might still call it game night, even if the sun is shining!)  He has spotted several games that he really wants to have this year and who am I to say no to the bonding moments that I get when he requests games instead of individual play? Being online, I have seen a few games th
