Pigtails and Crewcuts - Broxton's haircut!

I am not sure if you remember when I asked about when you gave your child their first haircut...
My family (southern tradition, I do not know... ) always waits until their first birthday...
So, we waited...
And sure enough, on his first birthday, we went and got his haircut.
Of course, that meant Daddy would miss it...

SO, once daddy came home...
We got settled into our new place...
and I googled fun places for children's haircuts.

It pulled up the site for Pigtails and Crewcuts and we went to check it out...

This place is just so cute!

You walk in and they have 2 "waiting" rooms set up..
A TV is in there playing a movie and they have TONS of toys for the child to play with while they wait their turn.

Once it is your turn, you pick the chair you want to sit in....

While they get their haircut, they have movies up on flat screens so that they have something to watch...
Broxton cared less about the movie... and if you notice, he did NOT like the cape, so we said forget it... We are going home anyways, just cut it and we will worry about the clothes later...
LOL, look at all the hair!

Mrs. TJ was so nice and so very patient with Broxton...
He is starting to look like a big boy!
Where did the time go?

I tried to get a picture to show you all the stuff they have for sale as well...
They have toys, hair and nail products...
I mean, for children, this is "the real deal"

Mrs. TJ even gave him a cookie while she was finishing up!
Just look at my BIG BOY!!!

If you want to check them out...
Look and see if they have a location near you!!!!

Oh yeah... forgot to tell you...
You can even have a birthday party for your little one there...

I have not forgotten!

Just wanted to let you know that I know a few contests have ended...
I will be posting all the winners information on Monday for the 3 contests.
Just trying to enjoy the last few days we have with the boys before they head back to their moms.
Thanks for understanding!
Have a great weekend!

Just a heads up, but I have a few more reviews/giveaways posted for next week...
Keep reading to see what is in store!

aloha Friday - Elton?

I am linking up with Kailani over at
Island Life...

Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday. In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too.

Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response. If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends

My question to you:

Does this make you think of Elton John?
As soon as Marc told me to look at Broxton, all I could think was "Elton"
LOL, Happy weekend everyone!

Pyur - Review

If you have not heard of
Pyur, you need to go to their website now...
I contacted them and I was honored to have Marinés email me back!!!
I was lucky enough to have the chance to review several items from their site and I have to tell you...
I do not think I have honestly ever seen/felt/used anything like their diaper balm.
Marinés went above and beyond with the samples she sent!
She sent me the Bath Salts and Belly Butter...
The bath salts were an excellent way to wind down after a long day here! :)
I am giving the Belly Butter to a friend of mine that just had a baby....
I know she will love it. (it smells wonderful!)

Broxton she sent:
Nourishing Baby Lotion
Baby Diaper Balm
Baby Soap (She even wrote his name on the package with a cute little smile drawn on it!)
Eucalyptus Chest Rub

Okay, here is where it gets good.
Good thing for us, we have not had to use the Eucalyptus Chest Rub, but it is with the medicine for when/if we need it.
The Baby Soap:
It has such a rich lather and it does not dry his skin out like other soaps tend to do. The smell is a very soft scent, so soft that I could barely notice it.
The Nourishing Baby Lotion:
I love it... BUT, I am only using it on his face! LOL, sorry, but it just seems like to good a lotion to put all over his body right now... We go to the pool a couple times a day, so I just throw on another lotion for all over his body. The "good stuff" as I call it, is reserved for the face! I know I might be weird, but I do not want to waste it!
Finally, the Baby Diaper Balm:
I am so glad that Marinés sent this to me!
Broxtons bottom was getting pretty red the other day... I mean, I felt sorry for him, but then... as I put a little of this diaper balm on him... I knew he would be fine! It goes on and instantly feels like silk being rubbed on him... It is not like a lotion, it is more like an oil. I put it on him and just a couple diapers later, his bottom was as good as new! When I opened the jar, the smell was nice! Not like other diaper medicines, you could just tell this was different!

Pillsbury Brownies, Oh my! - Review and Giveaway

Broxton is not in school, so luckily we do not have to worry about snacks for the class or bake sales or anything like that... YET!
But, we do have the boys here for summer...
Yes, our home is 4 boys, daddy and poor ol' me!

Luckily for me, I was able to review the Pillsbury Brownie Pack!
Working with My Blog Spark, I was sent a gift card to Sam's to purchase brownies, 2 tubs of frosting, a container to hold all the yummy brownies and an icing kit!

Let me just tell you...
The boys kept asking over and over when we were going to go get the brownies...
So, we loaded up and headed over to Sams...

Get to the bakery section and we grabbed them!
They were so excited that they were already made!
All we had to do was get home and cut them up!
(I am sure if we had a knife... and if they were allowed to eat in the car, they would not have made the trip home!)

We got home and I frosted up the brownies...
The boys (and daddy) liked the chocolate frosting the best...
I enjoyed the Cheesecake frosting most of all...
They are great and moist as they are, you really do not need the frosting, but who am I to pass up more sweetness?!
I will tell you a secret, the boys did not pass up eating any of them!

They were so yummy!
It was like a chocolate explosion!
Chocolate brownies, with chocolate chunks in it... Add to it chocolate frosting, HELLO!!!!
(and since they were already made, we did not have to worry about them being undercooked or burnt!)

This would be great to take to a neighborhood cookout...
Or to a pot luck at Church (you do not want me to cook anything!)
Or to a school function...
Or, like us... Just to eat at home!!!!

Want to find out just how yummy they are?
Well, YOU have the chance to!!!
