I am not sure if I have mentioned just how much I love the Magic School Bus DVD's.   I was not familiar with them before we had a chance to review them, but I tell you what... Now that I know them, I am eager to add more to our collection!  I know they are in books and DVD's, but we have not seen a book yet.  That is on the list for this summer!   We were sent the Magic School Bus - All About Earth for review.  I was excited about it... so I told Broxton's teacher about the DVD.   I figured it would be great to work into Earth Day (and they had recently done an "experiment" with a Volcano)  so I thought it was perfect timing! She let them watch a different episode during their lunch...

I feel as though Scholastic has been around for as long as I can remember... It is nice to know that a name that I loved as a kid will be a name that Broxton will learn to love as he gets older too... We have a nice collection going of the Scholastic Storybook Treasures and I love when we add more DVD's to the library!!! A new DVD for our library is  Stone Soup... and other stories from the Asian Tradition .  Not only is this new to our library, this is totally new to me, as I have never heard of this before... We were sent a cute DVD from Scholastic Storybook Treasures. The Red Hen - A Read Along DVD. I was not really sure what it meant by " More cooking stories" so I wanted to watch it and see what it was all about.  It started off with The Red Hen making a cake... Broxton thought that was a pretty good show... but then I really liked the show where they explained all about bread... The best to Broxton was Arnie the Doughnut!  I will say, his excitement while watching this show made me smile, so I will agree... it was cute... I was wondering how they were going to play it out.. (It is a doughnut that had no clue that doughnuts were made to be eaten and I was curious how they were going to make it kid friendly versus scary when he was eaten! ) The bonus at the end were the directions to make a cake with the Red Hen!!!     THE RED HEN (Written and illustrated by Rebecca Emberley and Ed Emberley, narrated by Walter Mayes) Filled with humor and sparkling...
