Road Trippin - #cabinatthepond #georgia

If you know me at all... You know how much I love to travel and see what all is out there.  Lucky for me, Matt likes it too, so we have made many adventures together already!  We can go on a day trip, or an over night one... either way, you can bet we will be laughing along the way!   Recently we were invited to check out a friend of mine's airbnb - and I have to be honest, it is the first airbnb I have ever been in... but it was absolutely PERFECT, so I wanted to tell you all about it!   So, the airbnb is in Pine Mountain Valley, Georgia.  We got there and wanted to check out the little town.  That being said, we drove over to the "main street" there and parked to check it out. They had several buildings with murals painted on the side.  They had a few different places to shop - and GET THIS ---  my friends were in the process of opening up an eating establishment!!! It is called Dakota's Counter   and its in downtown Chipley,...

Please send @DrTeals my way!

Life can be stressful for everyone, right? I know I am not the only one.  I am not even talking about BIG reasons to stress.  It can be anything from the stupid drivers out there... to those in school taking a test.  Yes, there are big and small issues out there, but we try to make the most out of it all.  One thing for me is to try and relax and take time for me when I can.  It can be a day at the spa, a trip to the grocery store alone or even a nice relaxing bath.  I had planned on making welcome to a new school year basket for Broxton's new teacher, but I know how people are about certain scents and I did not want to send in something she didn't like. Know what I did instead?  Made me a little care package and boy oh boy, I have been enjoying it!   FTC Compliant Review Policy:    The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency for the sole purpose of product tes...

How do you take your tea? @ChoiceOrganicTeas

Image
For many of us, we are in back to school mode.  Back to school has either already happened, or it is getting ready to happen.  Know what that means???  Schedule... Routine...   For me, that also means that I get a little bit of peace and quiet during the day again.  Not much, but some!   When I was a child, I can remember my grandaddy always making a nice cup of hot tea each night after dinner.  It was his way to rest and unwind and I can picture it like it was yesterday. Being from South Georgia, I am all about drinking nice ICE COLD SWEET TEA, but every now and then, it is nice to relax in the early morning (or early evening)  and have a nice hot tea as a treat.  Little did I know that there is such a wide variety of tea's out there these days! Lucky for me, I was sent a couple different tea's to try out enjoy!  Thanks to Choice Organic Teas, I get to share a couple tips for brewing the best tea at home. Image Credit- Choice Orga...

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation . I am not sure if you have heard about the newest thing... Adult coloring books!  They are everywhere and they are set to fit the budget for everyone.  You can buy a nice fancy one and drop a few bucks on it, or you can get one just as cool for a lot less and have a blast.  I was sent a couple for review and I have really enjoyed it.  Let's be honest, I will bust out the crayons and color in my sons Star Wars and Paw Patrol coloring books without thinking twice... but it sure is nice to have an adult one to relax and unwind coloring a little here and there.  No, they are not as easy to finish as a big picture of Yoda, but they have been found to help release stress and help us just escape and u...

A Shot of Relaxation @DreamWater

Image
If you know anything about our house, it is that most people have a hard time sleeping in our family. Broxton has fought his sleep ever since he was born (still does at times) and then Marc... Well, he has always had trouble sleeping, as long as I have known him... My mom is another one.. So, when I heard of Dream Water , I knew it would be worth a shot. No... before you freak out, I did not get this for my child, I thought it was worth Marc trying. I originally wanted my mom to try it, as she has a hard time going to sleep and then most always wakes up during the night... But, when I found out about this, she was on a new medication the doctor wanted her to try, so we thought it was best not to add this to a sleeping pill.  I gave Marc one and told him to just drink the whole thing. (They are small, only like 2.5 ounces)  The thing is, they say some people drink half of it before bed... and then if they have a habit of waking up during the night, they drink the oth...

Time For You -" Lola Versus" Movie Tips

Image
All of us can use a little "me time" every now and then... Right?! If you remember, I reviewed the movie, Lola Versus , a little bit ago.. To go along with the September 11 release of the movie, today I am sharing a list that was passed on to me for us all to have a little time for ourselves...  Lola’s Guide To Me Time Greta Gerwig sparkles in this offbeat romantic comedy about looking for answers - and finding yourself - in a complicated world. When 29-year-old Lola (Gerwig) is dumped by her fiancé Luke Joel Kinnaman) just three weeks before the wedding, she embarks on an emotional, year-long adventure of self-discovery filled with love, loss, hilarity and heartache. Guided (and often misguided) by the well-meaning advice of her close friends and eccentric parents, Lola's chaotic journey en route to the big 3-0 proves that a single tumultuous year can yield the lessons of a lifetime. We’re busy women these days.  Juggling, work, school, relationships, ...

Blessings Chakra Pillow - Review

Image
Have you ever heard of the Chakra Pillow before? I recently did... and we all know how I am.... So, now I get to share it with you!! The Chakra Pillow was created by Gurutej Kaur . She is more than just the creator... She has also helped to share her teachings of yoga and meditation. She is an artist, a writer and so much more! But, on to the Chakra Pillow. There are 7 pillows to choose from. Each have a different color and with that, a different aroma. We had the chance to review the Blue one. The blue is to uplift and energize. Now, I have not done anything with mine but use it as an eye pillow. It mentions the Chakra being for the throat and for communication. I have enjoyed using it simply as the eye pillow. I am sure over time I will use it as stated, but for now... I am happy! And when mama is happy...... Well, you know... everyone is happy! The three things I really like about the Chakra Pillow: One - You can use it hot or cold. Whichever way you feel necessary for the rel...
