Aloha Friday # 20 - Email

It is that time of the week again..
Friday is here!
Aloha Friday that is!
With that, you know the drill...
From Kailani:

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

My question this week...
Who is your email provider?
I personally have GMAIL. I was sent an invitation to get a GMAIL account several years back...
I made an account and I have LOVED IT ever since...
Yes, I still have my original hotmail account, but I rarely check it these days...
So, who is yours?

Spinning Forward - Book Review

I just finished a really great book!
I wanted to get up and write this post last night, but then...
Of course, Broxton woke up..
So, that was put off until today...
Then, today has been one thing after another, so I am FINALLY getting it posted now...

Debut author, Terri DuLong, really shows what she is made of!
I am anxiously awaiting the next book!

Spinning Forward takes us to Cedar Key, Florida as Sydney Webster tried to find herself.
Living in Boston, Sydney realizes that with the death of her husband, there is so much that she needs to figure out. Luckily, she has a best friend that provides the support needed to try and do so, in Cedar Key. Is moving to Cedar Key the answer? You have to read the book to find out! This book does show the atmosphere of smaller towns. Having gone to a college where everyone knew EVERYTHING about you the moment it happened, I could totally relate to the surprise Sydney had as the townspeople knew things so quickly. (I am sure Boston was NOTHING like this!)
The self discovery that takes place with Sydney proceeds to open so many more doors. The journey of her emotional self as well as physical and financial is something that we get to watch unfold before our eyes.
The characters were so vivid, I felt more like I was a fly on the wall, versus reading the book!
I loved this book! The characters, you loved them... you wondered about them... I could feel myself falling into this book, you know the page turner where you have to know what happens next? The one where you are just as mad at what is going on as the actual characters?!

I am so glad that I got the chance to review this book!
Please go and check out her website.

*****I was sent a complimentary copy of Spinning Forward for my personal review. I did not receive any monetary compensation for this review. This is my own personal opinion. *****

All that snow

Okay, I am in Georgia...
I have never seen snow like the North is getting right now.
I know it must suck for all of you that are having to deal with it.
I am sure the kids like it for a bit, but even so, do you think that they get tired of it?
I will tell you one thing...
I am LOVING THE PICTURES that the blogs I read are posting right now.
As I said, I have never seen such a thing!
I am glad that this is something that I am not having to deal with, I mean...
In Atlanta, people have all these wrecks when it rains a bit to hard!
LoL, one of the guys I used to work with used to say that if someone dropped an ice cube, we would have all these wrecks because people in Atlanta just have a hard time! HA!!!
I wonder how Atlanta would react to this?
Even when it is a little snow (northerners would probably call this, FROST) everything shuts down!
Schools, Churches, even the grocery stores sell out of everything because of the panic that sets in!
Just to let you know, if you want to share more pics of all your snow, let me know!!!!
I would LOVE to see them!!
Be safe you guys!

Beautiful Blogger - Award

I was just given a Beautiful Blogger Award from
Kandi over at Twin-Spiration!
Talk about a great way to start your week off! If all Mondays were like this, right?!
Go and check out her blog, the name says it all...
She is the mother of TWIN 6 year old girls... and they are just too cute!

Here are the rules:

1. Thank the person who nominated you for this award and insert a link to their blog.

2. Pass on the award to about 15 other bloggers who you recently discovered and think are great!

3. Contact the other bloggers and let them know they have been chosen for this award.

4. Say 7 things about yourself.

So, lets see... 7 things about me?

1. I am a first time mom and I love sharing what I have learned since being a mom with my friends that are pregnant or have just had a baby. LOL, it is just my opinion, but still... anything that might help them out, I will share!
2. I worked at the same job for almost 10 years... When I was 7 months pregnant, I found out it was closing and I would be unemployed.
3. I went to school for photography. I wanted to be a photojournalist, but then realized I would not be able to go and photograph the funeral of a celebrity, or invade in ANY ONES personal space like that, so I decided that I wanted to make greeting cards. (If anyone has any connections, lol, let me know!)
4. I have TONS of junk! Going to school for photography, I needed all kinds of props, so... I figure, keep things that I might be able to use down the road!
5. I really wish that I had a way to sell some of my photos. I have some that I know others would like!
6. I love to read! I try and take magazines whenever I go somewhere (Doctors office, getting my nails done...) So, if I finish it, I can leave it and let someone else read it!
7. I took several bags of clothes to a consignment store... ( I mean, it was like 8 or 9 HUGE trash bags full of clothes, mine and Marcs... ) I was planning on putting the money towards diapers for Broxton.. Yeah, all I got back was $26. I still think something was VERY FISHY with that! I will have to post about this one later...

As for the 15 other bloggers that I would like to pass this along to...
