Do the little kids in your life ask plenty of questions?  Do you remember the kids in your life asking about everything when they were growing up?  I know that mine does!  Every day is filled with plenty of questions and I try my best to answer them.  I will admit, I am not one that knows it all and I will not try to act like I do (thank GOODNESS for the internet!)  One of the latest books we were recently sent is perfect for us... Time for Kids - X Why Z Animals ---  Little Kids Ask.  We Answer. YES!  Just what I need!     As with most books I love, it is a hard backed book, that has 96 brightly photographed pages to amuse and delight children of all ages...   T...

I am not sure if spring break is going on in your area - but it is in FULL force here.  Broxton had his one week, the brothers had theirs another, seems like the end of March and all of April is Spring Break city around this area!   With that being said, I wanted to do a little bit of a "staycation" with the boys.  Living in Georgia ALL of my life, I tend to take the local attractions for granted, but not recently!   We had the opportunity to go to Zoo Atlanta the other day and to say we had a great time was an understatement!  We had a BLAST!!!!   I was so excited to go and see the twin baby panda's, but Broxton got in his mind he wanted to see the giraffes the most!  The older...

He acted sort of out of it... and he never really asks to watch TV that much...  As soon as he got home from school, he asked if he could watch Bubble Guppies - I was so happy that we had recently been sent their newest DVD... Bubble Guppies Animals Everywhere.  Of course, I put it on for him and he sat there- zoned in to watching it (that is another thing that never really happens... He is always so busy!)   This would be a great addition for an Easter Basket or even a good go to movie for any road trips planned - think Spring Break or Summer Vacation!!!! We had the opportunity to review a pretty neat book and now I get to tell you about it. Time Books (which I love, as we have several of them already) has released the coolest 3D book!   We recently had the chance to review, Zoo 3D and we loved it! The images are outstanding and you really get the feeling that the animals are right there in front of you.  I was very surprised with the quality and was telling Marc about how impressed I was when we looked over at Broxton.  He was reaching out trying to grab the animals!  At that point, I stopped looking at the book and enjoyed the time watching Broxton as we flipped the pages! You will be impressed with the images, but that is not all... Time truly grabs you, as there is so much to learn as well! Kids will love the pictures and the adults will love the time bonding and reading all the text on the pages!  Here is a sample of knowledge from the book: Know why a gorilla yawns? Nope... no...

I can not lie to you... Let me tell you something and I am not ashamed to admit it... I am 33 years old (just turned it in August...) and I have really enjoyed LEARNING flipping through two new books that we just received for review... Up first, Who's Looking at  You? , is a great lift the flap book that has you guessing what eyes are staring back at you...  I tell you what, each time I wanted it to be an owl and I kept going whoo- who - whoo...  but they had all sorts of animals... From the first one (a Gorilla, I got that one) you learn that a Gorilla doesn't want you to stare, they think it is a sign of anger... to the page with the sea turtle, did you know that when they leave the water, they shed tears?  It is to get the salt water out and to keep sand out... I loved the information that I was learning... The only drawback I have?  The last two pages had eyes on them and you could flip the flap to see what animal it was, but there was no "tidbit ...

We have never watched Wild Kratts before... But, as much as Broxton is into watching shows about animals, I thought he would be very eager to watch this...   I am not sure why, but the first time I put it on, he watched for a minute and then decided he didn't want to watch that... and so he left to go play with his toys...  You will not hear complaints from me, as I would much rather him play than watch tv anyways, so I just turned it off and we went about our day... Then, a couple days later, he asked me if I would put on Wild Kratts for him. He watched for a few minutes and then again, he was off to explore other things...  I had no clue that it was both real television mixed with animation... I thought it was just animation the whole time.  I personally thought it was pretty cool, so I am eager to see if he wants to watch it again soon!   Here is the description from the PBS Store Site: Creature teachers Chris and Martin Kratt will take families along on...

I always say that I travel with Precious Cargo...  As Broxton and Marc both fit into that category...  But, it isn't always just us.... Broxton has to bring different friends on all the adventures we go on. We have had all sorts of different characters ride along and now Broxton can compare it to his buddy, Thomas!  I know he is going to love figuring out what Thomas does when it comes time to transport the giraffe!  The latest DVD from Thomas and Friends: Curious Cargo . Broxton has not watched this yet...  We have been working on our story time right now...  Well, that and a few other DVD's. (He cracks me up how he wants to watch the same one several times first!) He will be getting this for his Valentines Day treat!!!! What better than Thomas and animals? That is love, right? :) Synopsis: All aboard for a wild ride on the Island of Sodor as Thomas and his engine friends deliver some Curious Cargo - from giraffes and cows to birds an...
