Snacking Good with @SlammersSnacks #ad

Image
I don't know about your house... but these days of being home more and virtual learning (COVID19)  my kids seem to have forgotten their "school stomach" and think they can snack all day long.  I know I am not the only one since I see the meme's on facebook!  Lucky for us, we were introduced to Organic Slammers several years ago and both kids (not gonna lie, mama too!) love these and they are great snacks!  Not only do they taste good, they are good for them!  Some people are not familiar with them, so I thought I would post a friendly reminder for anyone else that might need good snack ideas! Summer is ending, Celebrate with a #Giveaway

Image
Summer is almost over.  Seems like school just got out for the summer and now here we are starting back.  I remember when I was in school we got 3 months off for summer... now seems like they are getting shorter and shorter.  Honestly, I would not mind year round school, if they incorporated nice long breaks in between, but I think I am in the minority on this one.  Seeing as though I am a working mom now, we really did not get much time to go and do like we have in the past, but I tried to make it as fun as I could.  We planned a trip to the beach for several days and let me tell you... WE HAD A BLAST!!!!   I do wish time would slow down, as I know my "babies" won't stay "babies" forever... but I honestly LOVE watching them grow up and become who they are.  Yes, I have hopes and dreams... all parents do, but in the end... I want them to be WHO they are meant to be!    Since summer is coming to an end... and school has started back...

Battle for Metropolis is now open at #SixFlagsOverGeorgia ! #JusticeLeague

Image
Hope you are familiar with Six Flags Over Georgia, if not, you need to be!  As a child, I remember vacations to Six Flags.  When I moved up to Atlanta, I got a season pass with my roommate.  With an 8 year old, we are loving Six Flags these days.  We were invited to come check out their newest ride, Justice League: Battle for Metropolis.  I am NOT a ride person, so Broxton was thrilled to have his big brother there for the day!  I thought we would be there for just a couple hours, due to the Georgia temperatures (I love the air conditioner!) I was excited for Broxton, since he is all about the Justi...

Help Your Child Avoid Summer Tantrums with These 5 Tips from Brain Balance

Help Your Child Avoid Summer Tantrums with These 5 Tips from Brain Balance: Summer time is about fun and relaxing from school, at least it is in our house.  This summer we are changing things up a bit (in more ways than one, but that is neither here nor there.) My mom thought a great thing to do would be to make a "coupon book" for Broxton for different things to do over the summer. What all is included?  Well, there is movie night, bike rides, grilling, going to the library and more.  It has been fun for all of us and it keeps the "boring" days fun and even educational!     So I partnered with Brain Balance   —a  drug-free , holistic approach to addressing the challenges of behavioral, social, or learning disabilities—to try some of their summer activities, and to share a little bit about their philosophy. And let me tell you, their activities actually work. I'm so excited to keep this momentum going into the summer!    F...

Have you been to teamLab Future Park at the Mall of Georgia?

Image
We were recently invited to go check out the TeamLab Future Park at the Mall of Georgia and we had a blast while we were there.  If you are near the area, try to plan now and go check out the exhibit, as it is not a permanent one, they are set to leave on July 31st!    FTC Compliant Review Policy:   The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency for the sole purpose of product testing. Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary c ompensation. As soon as you walk in the door of the teamLab Future Park , you realize you are in for something pretty cool.  The entrance has you go behind a black out curtain, you know... sort of like what is behind the curtain for the Wizard of Oz!!!   Once you head into the darkness, you are immediately in overload and want to do it all... right then!!!!!   You have these huge colored balls over to one side making differ...

Summer, perfect time for a picnic. Plus a recipe!

Image
I don't know about you, but for us, summer is for trying to take it easy.  Especially during the hot days!   Lucky for me, Broxton loves when he "gets to decide" that it is picnic day.  Even better?  The fact that he loves to have picnics inside just as much as an outdoor lunch! There is something about throwing down a blanket and eating picnic foods versus sitting at a table and eating a sandwich, at least that is the feeling here!!! We get to make quick and easy meals. Know what that means? More time for playing and making memories!    Recently, we were sent a variety of treats to change up our typical picnic from just chips, fruit and sandwiches.  Read below to see what all we were able to try!   More time with these cuties?  YES!!! I am all for it! Summer Sale and Christmas in July @LDCAtlanta

Image
Are you in or near Atlanta?  Have a kid that loves Lego?  If so, you need to take them to check out the Legoland Discovery Center in Atlanta.  We went once and Broxton fell in love. We ended up getting season passes.  We made it a point to go once a month (had to make sure we got use out of it since we paid for it!!!)  Now that he is older, we don't go as often, but it is still a nice treat for us to go from time to time. He always has a good time and the last time we went was when they had changed it all and opened up the Pirate area .  We are due for a trip back, so hope we can make it a day before summer is over.    I know they are always doing great things, so I just wanted to share a couple new things with you. ( I really think the Annual pass can't be beat! For $31.50 you can get an annual pass... talk about a great "early" Christmas gift!)   FTC Compliant Review Policy:  The product(s) featured in this review were provided fre...
