Dakota's Counter - Pine Mountain Georgia

Image
If you have been here a bit, you might remember, Marr and I took a little weekend road trip and went to Pine Mountain.  We stayed at the CUTEST CABIN EVER... Check out my road trippin post  if you need a refresher.  Here is the link for CABIN AT THE POND PINE MOUNTAIN if you want to rent it and enjoy!   Anyways...we went back to check out DAKOTA'S COUNTER since it is open now... and I tell you, it is only like 10 minutes off the interstate, so pull off for a quick bite and check it out!   So yeah... now that it is open, we made a trip to Atlanta to take care of some things and decided we would venture out to see the place... Had I known it was only 10 minutes off of the interstate, we would have for sure gone before now.  Look how cute it is: As you enter, there are a couple booths and a couple tables inside. You step up to the counter and place your order - grab you a bottled soda and then pick a seat.  A short bit later, your food is deliv...

Trudeau has a great lineup of items to make taking lunch a breeze! (Plus a recipe!)

School is in full swing here.  Lunches are packed.  Homework is completed.  Here is the thing... Broxton is not a huge fan of "sandwiches" for lunch...  He says they don't taste the same as they do at home.  We try different food idea's but it gets old (at least to me) after a while of the same things. He has decided he likes Peanut Butter sandwiches, but with classmate having severe allergies to nuts, I am not about to put anyone in danger!  We save those for home!  Broxton does love salads for lunch from time to time, but I have realized most of Broxton's lunch time is spent socializing since they can't talk and what not during the day.  (He is a social butterfly, no denying that! Gets it from me, I know!!!) We were lucky to get a new lunch lineup of items to review.  I was excited because that meant that Marc could take his lunch in nicer looking containers.  Then, Broxton saw it all and I knew it was over.  He has already plann...

Fruit Shoots are perfect to throw in the lunch box!

Image
What do your children drink each day? I wish I could say that mine drink water non stop, but that just is not the case.  Neither of them are huge fans, but we do attempt to drink it as much as possible! Broxton is normally only allowed to take a juice to school for lunch and that is his juice limit for the day.  We were recently sent a selection of Fruit Shoots to give a try and that is just what we did!   FTC Compliant Review Policy:    The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency for the sole purpose of product testing. If you follow me on Instagram (thank you) you have seen that I posted a few pictures of where I went to a blogger luncheon the other day to learn more about a new program coming out on Sprout TV January 23, you know, 1.23  at 8 pm.  We had a great lunch and while enjoying our meals, we also were able to enjoy a preview of the new show, called FLOOGALS.. Are you ready to learn about the Floogals?   They are these cute little alien type kids, called FLOOGALS.  (I thought it was going to be something more "girly" because of the flooGALS part of it, but it is gender neutral, so everyone can love it!) The floogals we meet are Fleeker, Flo and Junior Boomer.  Since Sprout aims for the target...

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. If you were here yesterday, you read about us seeing Saltoriya at Beau Rivage in Biloxi.  As I said, you can totally "do Biloxi" with kids... and The Beau makes that easy to happen!   Yes, they have an awesome casino floor - with a little of this and a little of that...  That is for the 21 and over crowd, but you need to know this...   They have a kids arcade as well!  It is open from like 10 am to 11 pm (somewhere around there, don't quote me on that.. and I am sure they change the hours based upon the season.)   But more that that, they have an awesome buffet that is sure to please the tastebuds of everyone in your party!  Since I knew we were headed there, I contacted ...

Think Outside The Box- Beating the Lunch Box Blues

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. I was excited to find out that  Beating the Lunch Box Blues by J. M. Hirsch  would be headed my way... It is so hard to pack lunch for Broxton... I have decided that my teenage years are already coming back to get me now... If I ask him what he wants, he tells me crazy things... Like he wants candy and chips.  Now, we all know that is not an option, so then I tell him we will do apples and a sandwich... No matter what I pack, most times, that same lunch comes back home.  I hate that, but I do tell him what I am packing and even get his opinion...  The other day, he was so excited, he wanted me to pack him a sandwich in the shape of a butterfly, so I did... but you better believe it that butterfly was still in his bag afte...

Rubbermaid Lunchblox Perfect for Lunch On the Go

Image
Just a little bit longer and Broxton will be in preschool. I have been highlighting back to school items while I prepare for this "milestone" for us..  Not to long ago, I was on the rubbermaid site and I came across the Rubbermaid Lunchblox . I was curious as to if this would be a great product for him to take him lunch in, so I am glad when the chance arose for me to review them on here for us all to learn more! I thought that they looked like a great way to take a lunch, be it a toddler or an adult...  I was curious as to if they were glass or plastic and have since learned that they are indeed plastic.. BPA free to be exact! You know how your eyes are always bigger than your stomach?  (At least for my family that is sometimes true.. ) Well, when the lunchblox arrived, I was a bit concerned that it would not hold a sandwich without having to squeeze the bread in there... Yeah, I was a fool on that one... I do not know if I have always just pictured bread...
