Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation .   You know how you see previews for a movie and it stays on the list for a "must see?"  I don't know about your house, but at ours, the list gets rather lengthy if the kiddo is in charge of it.  We saw the preview for Inside Out at some point and it hit his radar as one to watch, so then every time it was on TV, he had to mention again and again and again...   To say I was happy to get an invite to an advance screening would be an understatement.  We were THRILLED.   Not only to see the movie, but also so that I would not have to be reminded over and over and over again that he really, REALLY wanted to go see it.  We headed to see the movie and after popcorn and a drink, we we...

We all know I am all about sharing cool products and companies with you, right?  I think it is so neat to see how things have changed over the years and let me just tell you now... The product I am about to share with you is just too cool to me!  Maybe I have been living under a rock or something, but I am amazed at how things advance!  So, the latest is a pretty cool product that not only helps prevent MESS, it also takes up very little room and that makes me so very happy!    Now, we only have Broxton (for just a bit longer) , but I know several of you have more than one child.  Some of you even have several under the age of 5, so listen up!  This is CALLING YOUR NAME!!!  H...

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation .   Let me start this post by saying that in no way shape or form do I consider myself elegant or "girly -girl" at all.  I laughed and said when I graduated highschool that I would not be seen in a dress until I was getting married (since I was done with dresses from years in chorus.)  Guess what... that statement has been true.  I don't do skirts or dresses....It just isn't my thing.  I have also never been a fan of pink, but the weird thing is about a year and a half ago, I started noticing that I do like splashes of pink here and there...  Not much, but some.  Now that we are expecting Savannah to be here this summer, I am all about pinks and reds and purples and yellows... I love i...

Let's Make A Homeless Animal House

I love this kid!   He decided he wanted to take part of his rock collection and extra pieces of wood and "needed" to make a "homeless animal house" for the birds / squirrels and chipmunks!

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation .   Are you familiar with Argan Oil?  I wasn't until not too long ago, but now that I know about it, I talk about it often and I am in love.  Argan Oil is an oil that I have no fear in putting on my skin (or on my sons skin.) With most lotions /oils the simple thought of putting it anywhere near my face causes my face to start sweating, my skin to break out and for my pores to feel like they are being filled with quicksand.  Broxtons face got super dry not too long ago. It was horrible looking and he was determined he was NOT going to let me put anything on it, until I pulled out the trusty tube of Kesh Argan Oil .  I was able to put it on his face and a few days later that skin was just as...

If you are thinking of getting pregnant, or if this is your first preganancy, there is a DVD available that would be pretty good to watch. Yes, this is baby number 2 for me, but I still enjoyed it.  (Especially when they mention food NOT to eat, as that has been a big issue with some of my family. They think I am crazy about what is safe or not to eat and I am not budging. If the dr says no.. I am going with no.  Bottom Line. ) In this documentary, we follow different moms as they go through the 40 weeks of pregnancy. Some are married and others aren't. Some are young, others are older.  I actually enjoyed seeing the different stages for all of the moms.  I think one of my favorite parts o...

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation . There is no secret that I am thinking of trying the "cloth diaper" route this time around.  To be honest, it seemed to be really difficult and if you ask any of my family, they will tell you it is a pain and not to do it.  The truth is that they are thinking of the " old school " way with the plain white diapers with the big safety pins.  You know, the kind that was used when I was a baby.  Yes, I realize I am dating myself now, but I needed to explain what they were thinking.  Cloth diapering has changed so very much since those long ago days.  Now you can get diapers that snap or that Velcro.  You can get diapers that have inserts you place in there, or inserts you snap inside.  ...

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation . You are headed to visit a friends house and you have your newborn with you, where do you lay the baby down?  You know they don't want to stay in the car seat / carrier the whole time, so what do you do??  I honestly don't know what I did with Broxton (besides hold him the whole time.)  Now, I have a perfect solution!   We were sent the EquiptBaby bassinet for review and I think it is pretty awesome!      If you look at the very top photo and then the one above, you see just how small it folds up.  It actually reminds me of the size of a car window shade I had years ago.  They fold up nice and flat to take up hardly no room.  Then, you just take the elast...

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation . There are some classics that just never get old. For our house, Tom and Jerry is one of them.  I grew up watching Tom and Jerry, I can remember watching it at Day Care while we all waited for our parents to pick us up. Through the years of watching, I never realized that Tom actually spoke in an episode.  I learned that this week, if you want to know how long that took me to figure out!  Wow.  Talk about being surprised!  (We were watching a marathon on TV and in one episode, he was singing and talking, Broxton and I were both totally shocked!)  Well, now we have a new DVD to add to our collection and I am so excited!  This could also make for a great Fathers Day gift for a little nostal...

Yep, it is just right around the corner.  I love how fast time flies at times, but other times, I just wish it would slow down a little!   Have you decided what to get the Dads in your life?  If you are still up in the air, let me give you a suggestion... Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation . Just because school is out, that doesn't mean that learning and reading has to stop!  Did you know that many kids don't read over the summer and therefore they lose some of the knowledge that was gained over the previous school year?  Yep!  That is why so many schools have summer reading programs and even the library gets in on the excitement of the adventures that await kids beyond the cover of a  book!   A couple of years ago, Broxton took karate and had a great time, he especially enjoyed when he got to be a "ninja" so I thought that this book might be one to grab his attention!  This was a cute and simple book.  In it, you meet a ninja bunny that is reading a book on how to be a su...
