Mothers Day and Every Day After - You Deserve The Best - Olea Essence #Review

Image
Okay, let me just call it like it is...  Savannah is getting more and more into the teenage stage, so you better believe that "skin care" routine is life these days... Unfortunately for me, I have never been one to pamper myself. That being said, she has been on me to at least start moisturizing or something. It has normally been just wash my face in the shower and that is it... but I am trying.   The older I am getting... I see it... so I get what she means.  Lucky for us, I was sent the most beautiful line of skin care from Olea Essence and I am having to hide it from Savannah.    FTC Compliant Review Policy:    The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency for the sole purpose of product testing. Masami Hair - Look and Feel Beautiful!

Image
One thing I have always been complimented on is - my hair color of course!  I have actually tried the whole highlight / low light thing... but just plain ol' keeping it the way it is has always worked best for me.  I am not one to primp and do all of that, so just some good shampoo and conditioner has always done the trick.  True story - in high school one of my teachers came in with a purplish - red toned hair color one day.  She approached me to tell me that she had tried (and obviously failed - her words, not mine ) to get my hair color since she loved it so much!  That always puts a smile on my face because while I have fair skin and freckles thanks to this red hair, I really do love my hair.  It makes me - ME!!!   FTC Compliant Review Policy:    The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency for the sole purpose of product testing. Thicken Your Hair with @Pura_Dor #Haircare #review

Image
The end of last year was pretty rough for me...  That is to be shared another day on another post... but the point of this one is this... I ended up in the hospital for pretty much most of December.  I had emergency surgery and thank goodness I was able to be home for Christmas with my babies...  While all of that was going on, I didn't think about much but getting out and getting well and getting back to my kiddos.  Once I was out and back at work, it hit me... I had lost a good amount of my hair.  I have always had VERY THICK HAIR - to the point that whenever I get a hair cut we always thin it.. and then thin it once more..    It would take ages to dry and boy was it hot!!!! Like I said, I was home and healing and I noticed that it didn't take me but a few minutes to dry my hair, it wasn't a big pony tail when I pulled it back and oh my gosh it was so thin!   I asked a few friends what was going on as I was concerned... I mean, if I noticed...

Think outside the box and give treats for times of pampering! #jbgiftguide

I keep trying to think of gifts to give to people that already have everything they could want or need. To me, that means thinking of a fun gift that they might not normally buy for themselves.  One thing for me?  I think face masks (for your skin) are just too cool and I really want to try them all out. Since I don't really take care of my skin, I think that is great that I am interested in this.  I really want to try out all the different sheet masks out there, but I have been eager to see what the mud mask is all about as well.  Lucky for me, I was sent some great products for review.  Mud Mask and "fancy" shampoo! Why yes, thank you.  I would love to pamper myself!   FTC Compliant Review Policy:   The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency  for the sole purpose of product testing. Infusium23 keeps my hair healthy!

Image
If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I cut my hair a bit ago... See photo below if you need a reminder.  You see, to me, hair is just that... hair.  I grow it out, cut it, donate and go on.  I am not one to style it and fix it up all the time.  Normally, it is just pulled back in a ponytail and that is it.  It is funny, one of my best friends always has to laugh at my hair, since it is pulled back all the time and I have tons of little fly away's around the front. (Oh, and don't forget the baby curls around my ears.) Having admitted that I don't do much for style, I do take pride in my hair.  Whenever I go to finally get it cut, I am always complimented on how healthy my hair is.  Yes, I can brag on that, since to me it is a big deal!   Why am I telling you this?  Well, I want to tell you about what I actually do use on my hair. New Year, New You!

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. Image from Infusium23 site I don't know about you, but my hair deals with more during the winter months than any other time of the year.  For the most part, my hair is just pulled back in a ponytail... wet or dry... no big deal to me... Or, if I am going somewhere, I just get a shower and then go, letting my hair dry on its own...  Well, it really is not the best to do that during the colder months, so I normally try and at least dry it...  Also, with colder months = more social functions = flat ironing my hair. If you remember, I mentioned before how I try and rotate what products I use on my hair.  I have heard that your hair can start to build up on the products, so for me... rotating ...

Philip Kingsley Hair Care

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. I have mentioned before how I love hair care...  Maybe it is because I am a redhead and I just love my hair...  Maybe because I love when I go to a salon and they wash and style my hair...  I am not sure, but I do know, if I could afford to go and have my hair done every day, I would be all over it... It is just so relaxing for me!!! I was recently sent Shampoo and Conditioner from Philip Kingsley . Let me be honest and say first of all, I have never used Philip Kingsley, that I know of...  (Meaning, unless it was used at a salon, I have never used it, as I know I have never bought it.)  Having said that, I went online to see what I could learn.   Hold up right ther...

Love Styling Your Hair? @Hotironholster #HolidayGiftGuide

Image
If you style your own hair, or if you have  a daughter... or even a son with long hair... You want to read this!  I recently had the opportunity to review the Hot Iron Holster and I tell you, it is a must for all houses where hair care goes on!!!! This is just the coolest product!!!! The Hot Iron Holster is basically a MUST HAVE pouch to hold your Hot Iron... Be it  a flat iron or a curling iron... It is a need!!!! I was sent one in white and I think that I need to get a couple in other colors to add a spice of color to our bathroom.  (They come in other colors:  Black, Purple and Pink.)  What makes this so special is that it sticks to the sink or counter top with out any suction cups or anything... The Hot Iron Holster is like a really thick rubber material "cup" with a rubber "mat" that you lay on the counter.  I love that it is wide enough that I could lay my flat iron on the top while working on my hair, but that it isn't so wide tha...

Salon Feeling at Home - Hair Care Products We All Need

Image
I love going to get my hair cut...  Not the cut of it, but the fac t of the relaxation of having someone wash my hair (the salon shampoo always smells so great... ) then the brushing, cutting and styling... It is nice to be pampered from time to time...  I was lucky enough to be sent a great product and I am totally loving it!  I was sent the Infusium 23 Repair and Renew line and it is the smell and end result of going to the salon, but without the price!!!! Infusium has several hair care lines that is sure to be a match for what you need! From the Repair and Renew that I was sent, they also have : Moisture Replenisher, Volume Builder, Frizz Controller and Color Defender!  I will be honest, I was a bit skeptical about the leave in product... (The third step) Because whenever I have used leave in products in the past, it looked as though my hair had fallen in a bucket of grease or something by the end of the day...   That is NOT the case with this...

Who Needs Beer When You Have @ecostoreusa ?

Image
I used to keep beer around to wash my hair.  Yes, I am telling the truth!  My Nana said she would use it to rinse the buildup and to give her hair a nice shine... So, I started doing that myself.  It works, but I tell you this... I am not a fan of the smell of beer.   I also rotate the brand of shampoo and conditioner I use each time I buy a new bottle.  I was told that would keep buildup from happening, I really do not know, but I do it anyways...  I was on the site for EcoStore USA and I decided to head over to their hair care section... I saw that they had shampoo and conditioner in Pear, Honey & Almond and Cucumber.  I was eager to try them all, so I was excited to when I had the chance to review the Honey & Almond.  I was immediately WOWED by it all. First of all, I love the bottles.  They are just tall rectangles.   It works well with my little hanging system I have in the shower.  (Not to ...
