Crazy Socks and Awareness #wordlesswednesday

One thing I love about living in a smaller town?  Community support.  There have been a few kids that have been sick down here and to say that the community supports them is an understatement.  We have worn yellow for a child, worn super hero shirts for another.  This was crazy sock day for World Down Syndrome Day.  I have told Broxton that although we might not know them personally, it shows that we are thinking and praying for them and their family.  I could not imagine, but it is nice to see the support around town!

April Is Month of the Military Child - Show Your Support

As an Army Wife ... and a mom...  and a Proud American... I just wanted to remind you: April is the Month of the Military Child... Please share this with everyone... And remember to wear PURPLE this Friday, April 13th. April marks the nation’s “Month of the Military Child,” a time to honor youth impacted by deployment. In celebration, Georgia Operation: Military Kids (OMK) invites you to join us for the inaugural “Purple Up! For Military Kids.” We are encouraging everyone across the state of Georgia and Nation to wear purple on Friday, April 13th, as a visible way to show support and thank military children for their strength and sacrifices. Purple is the color that symbolizes all branches of the military, as it is the combination of Army green, Coast Guard blue, Air Force blue, Marine red and Navy blue. In military terms programming "purple" or "joint" means reaching out to all branches of the military.  OMK hopes everyone will take this opportunity...
