Having stepsons is a blessing to me... I love that Broxton has older brothers and when they are in town, we try to make the most out of our time together.  While sometimes we don't go anywhere or do anything, it is the fact of spending time together that is important to us.    I love to take pictures, but I really don't want a bunch of random snapshots hanging up in frames...  (Especially because when you have a house full of boys, they mostly tend to lay around in just shorts all day and as much as I love them, I don't want their shirtless photos plastered on my walls.)
This past Spring Break, we were lucky enough to get to go to Zoo Atlanta for the day.  The boys were running around having a great time and we were laughing off and on all day... At one point, I look over and they are making this funny to me photo - of course, I had to snap it right then (and then they posed for the "let me get a good shot of your face" photos!)
When I got home and got to looking through all of the many, many, many photos of our day - this one of the boys kept grabbing my attention and I kept smiling.

I was able to get to work with Easy Canvas Prints in a review and I knew that though we took tons of photos that day, the image of them playing and having fun was THE ONE I wanted hung up on my wall!    I was very happy with the product when it arrived, but the best for me was watching Broxton.  I had the canvas sitting in a chair (just waiting for me to decide WHERE to hang it now)  and he spotted it.  He walked over and started laughing - the facial expression and his memories of that day and time - yes ---  that IS what it is all about.  I have lots of pictures around our house- but ones like these are the ones that mean the most to me.
With Mothers Day being tomorrow- why not take as many pictures as possible?  (In the digital age, we can afford to do so, hitting the delete button is so much better than waiting for the negatives to be printed!)    Then, go through and find the photo that sums up the day for you.  (NOT A POSED ONE!)    With graduation going on everywhere - this would also be great to get a great shot of your graduate with their friends / family in the moment of their big day!!!!  For me, I want to try and get a few of Broxton and the brothers again this summer in images like this - yes, the posed ones are great - - - but these are the ones that invokes the memories and smiles that life is really all about!!!!

Do you hang up fun pictures like this, or are they destined to just be in your computers hard drive?  Think about it - we took the picture for a reason.  Why not share it with all that come to visit?  These are the best memories!

Looking for Poems for kids?  Look into the book, A Bee Named Bea and Other Poems.
This is a super cute book and the poems are sure to make the little ones smile!
At first, I was not so sure about this book--- since I am not a really HUGE Poem person- I used to be, but not really sure what happened.
So, when this book arrived, I started off with a negative attitude.
Then, I kept turning the pages...

A Bee Named Bea and Other Poems is just too cute.
The first poem we start with is An Alligator named Augie.  This is about an alligator that becomes friends with a frog named Froggy.
The next is A Bee named Bea.  At this point, I was wondering if we would have a A Chick named Chickie, but they threw me in for a loop!  It was a bird named Dickie!
Each poem gives us a cute new name  ...  " A (something) named (something.)"
But it is so much more than that... The actual story line of the poem is what is most important- in A Canary Named Larry, we get to meet Larry the canary that can not sing...   His friends can not stand to hear him sing, but instead of having a pity party... Larry learns that he is really good at bell ringing!  Now, his friends sing and he rings the bell and everyone is happy!
I love the problem solving in the poem and each one has a great message.
In A Chicken Named Charlie - we meet Charlie that rides a Harley...
Except he doesn't follow the rules and never seems to leave both wings on the handlebars!
His best friend keeps warning him...  but he never listens... Until it is too late -

As I said, I love the messages in each of the poems.
I think this would make a great gift for any preschool teacher!!!

Between Mothers Day and Graduation Day - we have plenty of reasons to celebrate here!  I was recently sent an absolutely stunning arrangement from Edible Arrangements for review and I can totally see now why people go on and on about these!
The guy arrived and I was so surprised with how much fruit is on there - and just how beautiful it was !
Of course, Broxton saw the arrangement and immediately wanted to know if he could try some of it.
Who was I to say no?  I was also ready to dig in - so we opened the bag and started enjoying!!!
The Mothers Day fruit bouquet that I was sent was full of so many delicious fruits:
Strawberries (some even covered in chocolate!) Honey Dew, Cantaloupe, Pineapples and Grapes.
Broxton wanted to try the chocolate covered strawberries, but we also had to try the cantaloupe (well, actually we "had to" try all of them!)
We were all so very impressed with how fresh and flavorful everything was!
Honestly, I would have sworn that someone had come into my kitchen, cut and displayed the fruit right then!  It was so juicy that we had to make sure to be careful not to drip the fruit juice on our shirt!
I love that we were able to enjoy the beauty of the arrangement as a display - but instead of having flowers that die and have to be thrown away, we were able to enjoy the fruit as an after school snack and then again as a dessert!   The best to me is that after we enjoy LOOKING at it - and enjoy EATING it - I am still left with a Mothers Day keepsake as the beautiful bowl that it was delivered in is so pretty.  I loved that it is pink, with a blue interior (Broxton thought that was "SO COOL"!)

So, if you are looking for a great gift idea - Be it a new baby, Mothers Day, Graduation, Birthday or WHATEVER the celebration might be... Look no further than all of the beautiful looking a delicious tasting treats at Edible Arrangements

Fall in Love with @Sticky9HQ #Giveaway

If I tell you a secret, do you promise not to tell?
A few weeks ago, one of those Facebook Ads sort of grabbed my attention.  To be honest, I never really pay attention to them and just scroll on by, but I wanted to see what it was about.  I have a love of Instagram images and thought this was pretty cool...
I ventured over to the Sticky9 site and was impressed.  You see, Sticky9 used to be called "stickygram" but due to the "iconic 9 grid"  they changed their name - STICKY9 was born!
Long story short - you upload your Instagram images to their website and boom-  its done.
Now, you wait just a bit and when you check your mail and open up your Sticky9, prepare to fall in love!

Sticky9 can be a few things...
You can do like I did and order 9 different images - talk about having a hard time deciding what images to print!  You can also order the "jigsaw" magnet - it is one image that is printed on the 9 squares, so you can make it like a puzzle!  (That would be super fun too!)
If magnets aren't your thing - they also offer phone cases as well as tablet cases!  All with YOUR Instagram images!!!!
When I originally set out to order these, I planned to give them to Broxton, since he is such a great fan of playing with the magnets on our fridge...   But, honestly, once they arrived... I decided that this was a special something for me and they went to the top part where he knows not to mess with!

They are rather small in size, but for me that is a good thing for me... since that means I can order even MORE and not worry about running out of room on the fridge!

There are several ideas where I think that this would be a great gift idea:
1- you can print out several of your images of your kids / family and give them to your loved ones... they can use it on their fridge to always remember you!
2- you can print out places or things to remember your vacation - like making your own souvenir!
3 - Would make great Mothers Day gifts to any of the Mothers / Mother figures in your life
4 - Would be super cute to give to a graduate!  They could take this off to college with them and have a piece of home - photos of loved ones- and it would also serve a purpose- use it to hang up messages or other items!
5 - Don't forget school lockers are normally metal, so these might be great to let your kids express themselves through the school year and then bring it all home at the end of the year.  (Not 100% certain about the lockers, might want to try that out, but I know I would have had fun decorating the inside of my locker with my Instagram photos when I was in school! )

Now, one lucky reader will win a custom 9 - grid Classic Medium set of Magnets from Sticky9.

@nuclearcowboyz - Better Than Ever @AtlNukes

Living in Atlanta has its benefits and one would be that we are able to go and see more things because of being in a bigger city... We went to see the NUCLEAR COWBOYZ at Phillips Arena in 2013.   It was awesome and full of energy.  I remembered my friend and I both enjoying the show last year, but being a bit bored / lost about the whole ladies dancing around... So I was a bit eager to see if it would grab our attention this time, since we "knew what to expect."
Let me just say - Nuclear Cowboyz DOES NOT DISAPPOINT!

This year, Nuclear Cowboyz put their show on at Gwinnett Arena.   We got there and of course we had to visit the concessions... Having to get a Coke put us missing the introduction -but we sure could hear all of the excitement from in the outside area!
We quickly rushed to our seats and we were in full AWE from that moment on!
The tricks were amazing!  The kids were on the edge of their seats the whole time!  *Mouths open in amazement and smiles!
It was just as energetic this time around, but since we knew it was going to be loud and full throttle, we were all prepared for it and really it wasn't bothersome to the kids this time.  Side note- we had so much fun last time with our friends, we invited them back this time around too!

I can 100 % say that my friend and I were just as into - if not a little bit more - than the kids!
The flips and tricks were just awesome and so exciting to watch!

The best part to both of us?
It seems (to us) that they eliminated all of the ladies dancing around (yes, it was still going on, but not as much and it was a bit more exciting this time) and added martial arts of some sort to add to it all.  A little while into the show and both of us were discussing how it was so much better than last year!

Between the flames, the lights, the martial arts, the dancing and the moto cross- we were charged with excitement from the moment we walked in.  That could be part of the reason my photos are not better - I was getting caught up in the show  and when I would go to take a picture, I would jump!
Some of the Martial Arts type people doing their show.

Would we go again?  HECK YES!  Already excited about next year!
I just wonder how they can top this... Although I know if it was the exact same as this one, I would be in awe all over again... There is just something about all the high flying excitement that gets my adrenaline pumping...

Let me end with this...
If you see Nuclear Cowboyz coming ANYWHERE near you - grab tickets ASAP!!! You will not be disappointed if you go.   (Between you and me - we almost missed an awards event that night, since we knew how great this show was!   We ended up being able to do both, but were totally going to risk it based on last year!)

Super Heroes Make for Super Reading (Plus a Classic)

FTC Compliant Review Policy:

Reading is so much fun for me... and actually it is a great time for Broxton and I to enjoy time together.  He grabs the books he wants me to read and I get to enjoy that time snuggled up reading and discussing things that are exciting to him.

A couple books that recently arrived were great additions to our library, thanks to Disney Books!!

Up first was a classic for me.  Well, I am not sure if it was from MY childhood or MY BROTHERS- but I for sure remember Huey, Dewey and Louie ...  Donald Ducks nephews!   I did not know they were still around, so I was excited to read this one to Broxton.  It was Huey, Dewey and Louie's Rainy Day and it is part of the "World Of Reading"  - Level 2.
Broxton was not familiar with them at all, so it was cute to tell him they were related to Donald and then to see what all they did on their Rainy Day spent at Uncle Donalds house!

The other 2 books were perfect for Broxton.  Captain America - The Winter Soldier and The Amazing Spider-Man 2.    Captain America - The Winter Soldier - Rescue at Sea  is the book that tells the story of the movie Captain America- Winter Soldier, later this year.  The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - Spider-Man vs. Electro is also a movie that will be released soon - as in this week,if I am correct!!!
If your kids are anything like this little boy in our house - you might have heard " I want to see that movie!"  Just a few times already .... good thing for us is that now I can tell him that he can read the book until we see the movie!!!

The final "awesome" part about the Captain America / Spider Man books?
They each come with a POSTER of the super hero featured in each book!
I told Broxton that if he wanted to hang the posters up in his room, I was totally okay with that... as I want it to be HIS ROOM and the way he wants it (within reason!)  I can't remember if I had posters up in my room growing up or not, but I know I sure loved looking at them at the store!

Do you allow posters to be hung in your kids room?

Looking for Mothers Day or Fathers Day Gift Ideas? @SOLREPUBLIC

FTC Compliant Review Policy:

Is gift buying hard for you at times?  I know around here it is really hard for me to figure out gifts for Marc, my parents and my brother...    With Marc, there is really NOTHING he really wants and if it is something he "needs" he normally just buys it as the need arises.
So, when I heard of the SOL REPUBLIC line, I was excited to know that I would be getting a pair for review and I knew that I would be gifting Marc his Fathers Day early!

The package arrived and I was so excited to have Marc try them out.  To be honest, packaging is very important to me and says a lot about the product - crappy packaging makes me think it will be on the lower end of quality... When the Sol Republic Relays arrived, I knew we were in for a treat!

Sol Republic Relays - available in several colors to not only let you HEAR great, but for you to look amazing as well!  The colors available include: Black, Black/White, Fluoro Red, Lemon Lime or Horizon Blue.
The Relays are made for active lifestyles, as you saw on the box... But you might wonder how - well, they are sweat and water resistant!  The sleek design might fool you that you get quality music - but it shouldn't... These small babies pack a punch that is sure to get your adrenaline going, be it in the gym or on the way to work!
One thing that we both liked?  The Relays are not a "once size fits all" - they include 4 different sizes to make sure you get the fit that is perfect for your ear!  (I recently had a major ear surgery and in doing so, they had to enlarge the canal to my ear- resulting in the fact that one ear has a larger opening now --- no, you can't notice unless you are all up in my ear, but this would be great for me, since normal size ear plugs and what not no longer fit properly!)  Marc tried out and found the size that was most comfortable to him... and then it was over.  All communication was gone as he was totally impressed and had them on for the remainder of the evening!!!
I was able to get his attention to point out that there is a volume control / pause button / microphone built into the wires and once again, he was impressed. We had to play around with him talking on it (I could not tell until he told me he was on the headset)   and listening on it through several different devices!
As you can see, it has a nice and snug fit. Like I said - Marc really likes them and has used them pretty much daily since he opened his early Fathers Day gift!

If you are looking for a great gift idea - be it Mothers Day, Fathers Day, Birthday and even Graduation - look no further!  These are sure to be a hit this year - just let your loved ones be the ones to get them BEFORE Christmas!!!

TeenyMates Now Has Baseball Figures!!!

FTC Compliant Review Policy:
The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency for the sole purpose of product testing. Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation.

You know how much we love the TeenyMates toys.  Broxton has them and loves playing with them... and I love that they are teeny and so cute.   They now have TeenyMates Baseball figures (that come with the random puzzle pieces - collect them all to make the puzzle!)
I don't know it it is because he just loves the TeenyMates, or if it is because he is playing baseball this year... It might even be because he got to go to his first Baseball game, no matter what the reason was... When he saw that the Easter Bunny left him a couple eggs with Teeny Mates in them, he IMMEDIATELY had to get them out and start playing with them.. They even beat out the other toys in the basket!!!!

All I know is that we were super lucky with the teams that Broxton got.  With the TeenyMates, you get 2 figures and 2 puzzle pieces in each foil pack.  It is a treat and total surprise to see who you end up with and with 30 teams to try and get, it is a fun collection to start!
Who did we end up with?
The Giants, Broxton had to show that to daddy, since daddy loves them!  The Braves, I wanted to put that one up since that is our hometown team and we have a few other from other sports leagues up as collection and not to be played with... But he was just too exited and I could not say no.  We also got several other ones, but to be honest, he was excited to play with them and I did not get long enough to memorize the teams!

There are many ways you could start to collect these... as an avid fan you could just try and collect all the MLB teams.  You could also do it as a collection of teams you have seen play live or go a step further and collect the teams that your kids played little league for!    At the end of the day, you could just be like us and collect them just to have to play with!
Hope you enjoy the TeenyMates as much as we do!!!

Regular Show on DVD With Never Before Seen Clip!

FTC Compliant Review Policy:
The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency for the sole purpose of product testing. Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation.

We have not watched many (if any) shows on the Cartoon Network and I really don't know why. So, when we opened up the mail and were greeted with Regular Show: Mordecai and Margaret Pack on DVD, I was not really sure what to think.

Of course, I looked to see what I could find out about the show and learned that "Regular Show is the breakout comedy series that features Mordecai and Rigsby, two groundskeepers at a park whose attempts to escape their everyday boredom take them to fantastical extremes.  Their job is so deadly dull that the two friends will do anything they can to avoid it. This doesn't go over well with their boss Benson (an anthropomorphic gumball machine)  - but their efforts often result in insane escapades that delight their co-workers and friends."    That sounded pretty good to me, but I was not sure the age demographics on the show... so I kept reading to learn "Regular Show has become a massive hit with its fans both on-air and off, with the series consistently ranking as a top-rated series among boys 6-11 and boys 9-14.)"

I tried watching for a bit, but it wasn't really grabbing my attention... Of course, that meant that Broxton loved it.  I do see why it is for an older age group (remember he is only 5)  but it was still attention grabbing for him.

The particular DVD we were sent features episodes from the first four seasons:
1 - Caffeinated Concert Tickets
2 - It's Time
3- Muscle Woman
4 - Do Me A Solid
5 - Cruisin
6 - Yes Dude Yes
7 - Access Denied
8 - Fancy Restaurant
9 - Diary
10 - Bad Kiss
11 - T.G.I.Tuesday
12 - Do or Diaper
13 - Picking Up Margaret
14 - Meteor Moves
15 - Family BBQ
16 - Steak Me Amadeus

Have you seen Regular Show?
