All Things Disney!!!!!

On vacation in Los Angeles, Walter, the world's biggest Muppet fan, and his friends Gary (Jason Segel) and Mary (Amy Adams) from Smalltown, USA, discover the nefarious plan of oilman Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) to raze the Muppet Theater and drill for the oil recently discovered beneath the Muppets' former stomping grounds. To stage The Greatest Muppet Telethon Ever and raise the $10 million needed to save the theater, Walter, Mary and Gary help Kermit reunite the Muppets, who have all gone their separate ways: Fozzie now performs with a Reno casino tribute band called the Moopets, Miss Piggy is a plus-size fashion editor at Vogue Paris, Animal is in a Santa Barbara clinic for anger management, and Gonzo is a high-powered plumbing magnate. With secret, signature, celebrity cameos, “The Muppets” hits the big screen Nov. 23, 2011.

DISNEY JUNIOR'S #1 SERIES

"JAKE AND THE NEVER LAND PIRATES"

RELEASES ITS FIRST MUSIC SOUNDTRACK & DVD THIS FALL

ALBUM SET FOR RELEASE SEPTEMBER 20

DVD SET FOR RELEASE SEPTEMBER 27

BURBANK, CA, July 28, 2011 – A new soundtrack and DVD inspired by Disney Junior's #1 series Jake and the Never Land Pirates, are planned to set sail this September with Walt Disney Records' album release of eighteen hook-filled songs from the series on September 20 and The Walt Disney Studios "Jake and the Never Land Pirates: Yo Ho, Mateys Away!" DVD release featuring seven episodes from the series on September 27.

Jake and the Never Land Pirates is cable's #1 series among Boys 2-5 and is on track to be Disney Channel's #1 preschool series ever. It is the most co-viewed series among all Disney Junior and Nickelodeon series, with 47% of Moms watching with their preschooler. A music-filled interactive treasure hunt, the series introduces a crew of kid pirates – leader Jake and pals Izzy and Cubby – and follows their Never Land adventures as they work to outwit two infamous characters, the one and only Captain Hook and Smee, from Disney's classic "Peter Pan." Every episode features the animated Sharky and Bones characters as they pop up throughout to perform original pirate ditties, and each episode concludes with a live action music video featuring The Never Land Pirate Band.

About the Album Release:

Written and performed by Loren Hoskins and Kevin Hendrickson, a.k.a. Sharky and Bones of The Never Land Pirate Band, the album features 18 swashbuckling tracks sure to thrill any young pirate. Also included are downloadable activities and games to plan the perfect pirate party, a Sing-Along version of the show’s theme song and a bonus track from a future episode. The deluxe edition includes a pirate bandana. The album arrives at stores and online retailers September 20.

The album features a variety of songs that kids and parents can enjoy together. Songs include the kooky, comical "Hot Lava," “Aw Coconuts,” "Pirate Password,” and the arrrghhh-rated “Talk Like a Pirate.” Some songs refer to popular characters in the show, such as “What’s Cookin’ Smee,” "Captain Hook (Is A Cranky Crook)," “Tick Tock Croc” and “Bucky’s Shanty.” Others capture the island spirit of Never Land, such as “Castaway on Pirate Island," "Shipwreck Shuffle" and "Never Sky," as well as the "Jake and the Never Land Pirates" theme song. All songs can be heard in episodes of the show.

Portland, Oregon-based Hoskins and Hendrickson have been creating pirate rock music for kids of all ages for more than a decade. The duo produced four previous children's albums and even led their own pirate band. The pirate rockers also provide the musical score for “Jake and the Never Land Pirates.”

The Jake and the Never Land Pirates soundtrack will be available wherever music is sold on September 20. For more information on Walt Disney Records’ releases, please visit www.Disney.com/music, become a fan at www.Facebook.com/disneymusicor follow us at www.Twitter.com/disneymusic.

Retailing for the suggested price of $19.99 in the U.S. and $24.99 in Canada, the Jake and the Never Land Pirates: Yo Ho, Mateys Away! DVD also comes packaged with a bonus 7-track CD sampler and a pirate eye patch.

The Coolest Kid In School - @Terracycle Review & #giveaway

Have you heard of Terracycle?
I have heard the blogosphere buzzing about it, so I had to check it out!

Terracycle is just the coolest!
Besides making cool products, they are helping the environment!
Let me try and summarize Terracycle up for you.
From their website:
TerraCycle upcycles and recycles traditionally non-recycable waste (including drink pouches, chip bags, tooth brushes and many more) into a large variety of consumer products. These products keep waste out of our landfills and contribute to a cleaner world. TerraCycle products are available at a wide range of major retailers from Wal*Mart to Target as well as online.

They are eliminating waste in the landfill and make really neat products!
Win-Win situation!

You can join a brigade and send in your products too!
(There is a minimum to send in, so read the information first.)
I really like the idea behind it and of course, everyone loves the products that are then available for purchase!

We got the Honest Kids Pencil Pouch for review.
I of course gave it to the 10 year old.
He was so excited!
He said he has seen other kids at school with cool things like this and he was glad he was going to have on this year!!!
Terracycle is so cool...
How cool?
So cool that they are giving one of you the chance to win a pencil case from juice pouches!

Check the Mail! Invitation Box is Bringing Back Snail Mail - Review

You all know how I love snail mail.
I love receiving it...
and I love sending it.

Problem is, neither one happens very much these days.
I know, I know...
I could change that on my end...
I did send tons of mail during Broxton's first year.

I wanted to make sure to have pictures of him sent to family and friends.
Besides, you need to send it in cute stationary!
Well, I have found a company that makes it and they have really impressed me!

Invitation Box has it all!
Marc was deployed for Broxton's first birthday, so we did not go all crazy...
If we have another baby, I know there are several cute invitations on here that we could choose from.
Also, it is never to early!
If you are one that sends Holiday Photo Cards...
Head on over and see what they offer here!
They have several choices of styles and price!
The final thing to share with you is what I had the chance to review.
As I said, Invitation Box has it all, but I was so happy to review the personalized Stationery!
They have folded thank you cards or flat...
You can have it say Thank You or have your name on it.
Just click on the Stationery Tab and see all they have to offer!

Okay, I know I said final thing, but it ties in with the personalized stationery...
Go DAWGS!!!!
In keeping with my Back to School theme this week:
If you have a daughter going off to college...
Check out the collegiate stationery that they offer.
Now, I am not saying to expect to receive mail once a week from her if you buy it..
Hey, it is college...
But still..
Maybe they will mail home a bit more often!!!!

Are you a Mamarazzi?

Okay, so you read the title to this!
See why I just HAD to review it?

With a title like that, I had to read it...
Even if I could just pick up one or two tricks to get better pictures of Broxton!
Just one... Maybe?

This book is so cute!
Besides cute, it is like a photography class in a book.
With easy to read language!

I love how the Sections of the book are not called "Sections" but they are called "Takes!"
Now tell me you don't love it?

Also, it has TONS of great photo's in it...
As in a wonderful photography book if you love looking at kids!

Instead of just telling you things, they actually show you the end result...
You know how much easier that makes things?
LOTS!

This book not only tells you about photographing your child, it tells you about your camera.
This is FULL of information.
If you are like me and dream of a dSLR, this gives you inside scoop on them.

A bonus?
At the end of each Chapter, they give you the "Inside Scoop from Photography Superstars."
From Composition to Copyright...
They cover it all in this book!

From Pregnancy to Baby Milestones...
Silly times to First Day of School...
This is a book for all moms!!!

Order your copy today!!!
You will not regret the 259 pages full of information and adorable kids!!!!

W/W - Alphabeasts

I have a really cute giveaway coming soon...
Have you heard of Alphabeasts?
They are just the softest little beasts you will ever snuggle with!

Did you notice?
One side is an uppercase letter.
The other side is a lowercase letter!
They are so cute and Broxton loves his!
Here, he had to take "B" with us when we went on a road trip to get one of the big brothers!!!!

Stay tuned...
Giveaway coming soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Make It Easy - @NameBubbles Review

With an un-common name like Broxton, we do not have the luxury of finding items with his name already on it.
Some kids get to pick up pencils and what not that is already labeled with their name...
Not here!

Lucky for us, Name Bubbles works great for us!
We were sent the Childcare Pack.
They have so many selections that really make them customized just for you!

With the Childcare Pack...
You start with selecting your style:
Solid, Bi-level, Circle or Stripe.
Then, you pick your color pallet, which they have tons of colors to choose from!
Next, you pick your Icon and finally you pick your shape!

After that, you wait for them to arrive.
Once you open your package with Name Bubbles included, you are WOWED!
They look great and really work!

We immediately had to label Broxton's cups!
They have been dropped, washed, rolled on the ground and ran through the dishwasher.
They still look as great as the first day we put them on!!!!

With Broxton not being in school yet, we have not had to label his things...
BUT, with me wanting to start the gym...
(That means putting him in the gym daycare... )
We will be labeling more items soon!

Just think, Broxton and another child might have the same cup, but we can teach Broxton to make sure to see his name/sticker on his first...
That way HE KNOWS it is his!!!!

I love that the Childcare pack comes in a variety of shapes and sizes!
They literally have you covered!!!!

I hear that they are great for laundry too!
Now, I plan on using these for Broxton's jackets and what not!
I figure, if I am this impressed with them being dishwasher proof, they will surely continue to impress me with the laundry!!!!

If you are having a hard time deciding what to get the kid that has everything...
Or even a mommy to be that has the name set in stone...
Why not make life a bit easier?
Go ahead and give them the gift that simplifies life...
and makes the kid happy knowing that their cup... is that...
THEIR CUP!!!!

I was worried with it being a sticker that Broxton was going to want to peel it off..
Or worse than try to peel it off, that he WOULD peel it off.
Not yet!
I am sure he has tried, but it is not going anywhere!!!!
For sure, this is a must have for little ones!
Whether they are starting school for the first time, or starting back the new year!

As I said, make it easy...
No more figuring out what belongs to who...
Just label it and head on to other things!!!!

Please keep up with all Name Bubbles News!
Follow them on FACEBOOK and TWITTER!

Just a kid whose four... Caillou Goes Back to School DVD Review

We Love Caillou!
He comes on PBS, which just might be one of our favorite channels!
The song comes on...
We sing, Broxton dances... and then we watch and learn.

I was so happy when Caillou Goes Back to School Arrived!
I knew that Broxton would be happy, as we could put it on for road trips!
I was happy because it was episodes we loved!!!!

I had never seen the episode where they went to the library, so I loved watching that with Broxton.
We love reading... so this was great!
Top it off, Caillou and Rosie were fighting over the book and ripped the page, Broxton got to see that you have to be careful with books, so I was very pleased with that!

One of my favorite episodes is when they play with magnets!
Yep! The simple things!
Broxton loves magnets...
With this episode, they play with magnets and learn that magnets will stick to many different things.
The best part is when Caillou helps his dad get something he dropped by going magnet fishing!!!

Broxton also loves the episode when they go to the museum, since he loves "dino's" so much!
It is also on here!!!

Last thing...
(We have not taken advantage of this ... YET. But we will soon!)
They have several special features on this!!
From interactive games to a message to parents!
This DVD has it all!

So, if you have a fan of Caillou ...
Get this DVD now!

Let's Go To Volcano Valley - Dinosaur Train Book Review

Tiny, Shiny, Don and Buddy are some of Broxton's favorite characters! We love watching Dinosaur Train and learning all about the different dinosaurs.
What they looked like, what they ate...
It is fun to learn when you do not realize you are learning!

That was the case with our latest book review.
I knew that we would love Let's Go To Volcano Valley, since it had the whole Dinosaur Train Crew in it.
The brothers read the book and flipped the flaps with him in the beginning...
Then we had daddy read it with him!
I love that the book is brightly colored and of course (like I would expect anything less) beautifully illustrated!
I like how the book is so interactive with the reader!
It starts off with the family at the train station.
Then, as each page turns, they tell you different thing to look for.
You look for red plants for Ella...
Look for striped fish to take to the picnic.
You also get to look for different sized dinosaurs! My favorite part of the book is the last pages...
They are great with the different colors and illustrations!!!

About the book:
Get ready to board the Dinosaur Train and meet some new friends! Buddy, the adorable preschooler Tyrannosaurus Rex, and this adoptive Pteranodon family are always on the move. Today, they are going to Volcano Valley. Along the way, the train is making stops at the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous stations to make dozens of dinosaur discoveries. With more than 40 flaps tolift, kids will want to explore Buddy’s world again and again!

If a know a fan of Dinosaur Train...
Hurry up and pick this book up today!
This would be a nice treat to pick up for your little one as they start school!

Back to School = Don't break the bank! Guest Post

Does "back to school" break the bank for you?
If it does...
You might want to know a few back to school tips:

1. Take Inventory
Consider what you'll actually need before hitting the stores. Has your child grown out of their schools clothes or will they do so by September? Can you reuse last year's school supplies or will you need to replace some items?
2. Set a Budget
Create a shopping list and stick to it, so you avoid impulse purchases. That fancy-schmancy Transformers' Trapper Keeper can push your budget over the edge.
3. Use Coupons
There may be great deals, but coupons can make them even greater. Check out sites like CouponSherpa.com that offer a wide selection of online, printable, and mobile coupons for back to school savings.
4. Shop Early
While it seems awfully early to think about school shopping, this is when stores are rolling out their best deals of the year. As they say, the early bird gets the worm.
5. Go Mobile
Tap into your mobile phone with apps like "RedLaser," which allows you to scan bar codes and find any cheaper prices online or at other retailers.
6. Check Social Media
Twitter and Facebook are great places to find deals offered to a brand's social-media fan base. "Like" or "Follow" the merchant and keep an eye out for coupons and sales announcements.
7. Buy in Bulk
Take advantage of bulk offers on pens, crayons, paper and other items your kids will burn through over the course of the year. You might team up with other parents for bigger bulk purchases that will bring prices down even lower.
8. Spend More to Save More
Sometimes it costs money to save money. For example, Staples offers a 15-percent savings pass for $10, which you can use throughout the back-to-school season.
9. Exchange
Gather your family and friends -- along with their kid's school wardrobes -- for an exchange night of hand-me-downs that will save everyone money.
10. Wait Until Labor Day
Labor Day is the traditional time for big sales on school clothing. You might take a chance and wait until then to buy any necessary items for your child.
11. Buy for Yourself
Back-to-school sales aren't just for kids. You might stock up on office supplies, jeans and other items that traditionally go on sale during this season.

As I mentioned in my previous post about Cafe Press, I have been trying to find a company that I could use to print my photo's as note cards.

I am very impressed with Cafe Press!
I was given a $50 code to choose a review product.

Want to know what I got?

I am preparing for Christmas early!
Ha, now that I think about it...
All the items I picked are geared towards Christmas!!!
Wow, did not realize that!

Oh well!
First up, I wanted to see how their personalized ornaments looked.
I picked out a photo that I know the boys will remember...
The photo quality was great, although I do wish the ornament was bigger.
I know that the bigger it is, the heavier it will be, but still...
I guess I need to realize that I am not going to have an 8x10 glossy on our tree!
I love that you can choose round or oval.
They also have several different decorations for it.

Next up, I went with a mouse pad.
I am still not sure if I am keeping this... or giving it as a gift.
Once again, the quality of the print on it was great!

The final item?
My note cards of course!!!!
They are just what I was looking for!
Top it off, the price was great!

(I tried to get things printed on different surfaces to see how their quality withstood the different materials.)

I know that I will be using Cafe Press again...
Guess what?
One of you can check them out too!

What you will win:
A $50 Cafe Press Coupon Code that can be used to customize a gift or t-shirt!

Rio #giveaway!!!

If you read my earlier post, (with Rio activities) I told you I was going to be having a giveaway!
Well, the time is now!

We had the chance to watch Rio and we loved it!
The colorful characters are sure to make everyone in the family drawn to the television!
The music will have you all moving to the beat as well!

SYNOPSIS:

As summer heats up, spread your wings and celebrate with the funniest birds in town! The all-new comedy-adventure RIO comes to Blu-ray and DVD from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. RIO brings together vivid characters and colorful backdrops amidst energizing Latin and contemporary tunes, creating the ultimate family-friendly music and dance experience for audiences of all ages. In addition to more than one hour of special bonus features and materials, consumers will have access to all-new exclusive levels of the smash video game hit Angry Birds Rio® that showcase your favorite characters from the film!

Captured as a young bird from the wild, Blu (Jesse Eisenberg, The Social Network) is a domesticated Spix Macaw living thousands of miles away from his homeland, Brazil. When his human owner Linda (Leslie Mann, 17 Again) discovers that he is the last male of his kind, they head south to Rio de Janeiro to meet the only other female. But it's far from love at first sight between the socially-awkward, flight-challenged Blu and the fiercely independent, high-flying female, Jewel (Anne Hathaway, The Princess Diaries).
