Write It Down With Journals Unlimited

Not many people know this, but once I moved to Atlanta, I started keeping small notebooks in my purse for times I wanted to "journal."  I really enjoyed it and I am honestly not really sure why I stopped doing it..
But - While I was checking out Americas Mart, I noticed this awesome display of journals...
Of course that drew me in like a magnet and I was in shock at all of the themes of the different journals!

I was sent a Journal for review from Journals Unlimited...
As I said, they have several themes .... It was so hard to decide which one that I wanted the most... They have themes for everything...
Film lovers?  (Would make a great graduation gift to someone heading off to film school.)
They have a baby journal, a road trip journal, quilting journal...
They even have a wishes journal for "When I'm Gone."

I finally decided on "Let's Go See All 50 States!"
I thought that would be a great one, since my goal is to one day see all of them...
This way, I can keep track a bit better!!!

I love that the book is a spiral bind, so that way it makes it easier for me to flip the pages to allow better writing inside the book!   I also love that it is brown (they have a natural or a color collection), with the accent of the theme in an inside cut out window.    The pages allow for plenty of writing, but it isn't just blank lines!!!

Each state has a divider page with the outline of the state with a few facts about the state on the page.
The thing that that is neat is that each page has a couple little blocks with random tidbits/facts about the state.  You do get a blank page for plenty of writing, but it also has an area to let you fill in when you went and with who.  As I said, it is more than just a blank journal.
I think it is a great gift idea and I plan to buy more for not only myself but for others too!!!

Cute Baby Caddy from @BuiltNY

I was lucky to have a couple different baby showers when I was pregnant with Broxton.
One of my best friends threw one for my coworkers to come to and you know what was neat?  She asked for them to give a book instead of a card to start a library for Broxton... I thought that was so neat...
Then, another person gave us a gift that was "wrapped" in a baby themed "photo box."  I thought that was sooooo very cool... Instead of wrapping and throwing away the wrapping paper, or buying a gift bag, the wrapping could also be included as part of the gift!!!

That got me to thinking...

I was recently sent a Built Baby Buddy Essentials Caddy.
At first, I thought it was sort of small, but then I realized there was SO MUCH room in there!
The Built Caddy is perfect!!!
The best thing about this bag is that you can just wipe it clean...
As a mom, that is a great thing to know, since we ALL know how much things get spilled/thrown onto items with a little one around!!!
The Built Baby Buddy Essentials Caddy comes in a couple different patterns, so it is great for both boys and girls...  Or unisex as well!!!
After seeing how nice and roomy it is (for a caddy)  I was thinking that this would be a great way to package a baby gift...   Instead of buying a baby gift bag, get this as part of the gift and they will get much use out of it!!!   I wish I would have had a caddy when Broxton was a baby, but I know to get one if we ever have another one!!!

If you are looking for a great gift idea for someone with a baby, or for someone expecting...
Check out the Built Baby Collection, there are many things for a wide variety of price ranges!!!

I have recently learned of the coolest puzzle and I just have to share it with you ...
Have you heard of Scramble Squares?
I saw them at Americas Mart and I thought they looked pretty simple!!!

The Scramble Squares puzzle is a basic 9 square puzzle...
Or so you think...
Then, you try and complete the puzzle and you realize that it is so much more than just a "basic 9 square puzzle."   I have tried a  few different times to put it together, but have yet to have any luck in completion of it...   It looks like it is so easy to do, but they really aren't...
The great thing is that not only am I having fun... Broxton is too!!

If you and your family enjoy puzzles, check out Scramble Squares!
They have several themes:
Frogs, Balloons, Motorcycles, Puppies and more!!!

Make sure to follow Scramble Squares on Facebook.

I guess the holidays make me a bit more nostalgic than throughout the year...
I remember growing up with my Nana watching all sorts of  television and one that cracks me up still to this day is Mama's Family!!   Imagine my surprise and delight when I was sent seasons 1 and 2 for review!
It was like I was back at her house laughing at how funny the show is, even today!

MAMA'S FAMILY: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON (1983) - When Vinton Harper (Ken Berry, F-Troop), Mama's only son, drops by to announce that he and his children have been evicted from their home, it sets into motion family dysfunction of the highest order.  Against the wishes of Mama's roommate - her sister, Fran (Rue McClanahan, The Golden Girls) - Vint moves in, starts a romance with an old high school crush (Dorothy Lyman, All My Children), gets married in episode four, brings the entire clan to a very memorable appearance on 'Family Feud' and welcomes several visits from Mama's high-strung daughter, Eunice (Carol Burnett) and her husband, Ed (in Harvey Korman's final series appearance).  THE COMPLETE SEASON ONE contains 13 episodes across 3 discs, as well as bonus programming sure to please every classic TV aficionado!

MAMA'S FAMILY: THE COMPLETE SECOND SEASON (1983-1984) - This new collection features 22 episodes in their entirety across 4 DVDs.  SEASON TWO finds the Harper family in rare form, as Mama's highfalutin' daughter Ellen receives Raytown's "Woman of the Year" Award, Mama gets hospitalized after being hit on the noggin with a stewpot (in Carol Burnett's final series appearance), Mama's once-vivacious cousin Gert (Imogene Coca) gets her life enriched, Mama attempts learning to drive (much to the family's chagrin) and decides to run for Mayor of Raytown.  Among bonus extras, this set features the TV movie "Eunice" (1982), a CBS-TV original which was the precursor to the series and takes the Harper family on an unforgettable 23-year journey.

If you remember Mama's Family...
I loved seeing Betty White and Rue McClanahan on there, since I honestly had forgotten that they were on the show!  Mama's family has been a great enjoyment for me to watch during the holidays!
Hope you think to get this for someone on your list!!
Just make sure you watch with them and enjoy the days of yesteryear!

Have you ever seen Mama's Family?

As you know, I love LOVE Christmas Cards!!!
I love receiving them and I love mailing them out too!!!
A few years ago, I was able to host a review of cards from Shutterfly and I finally decided to go with the Top 10 Moments card for that year... and I fell in love as soon as they arrived!
(To be totally honest, I still have ours from that year hanging on our fridge!)

No lie, we had SEVERAL people comment on the fact that they loved the cards and that the Top 10 was the cutest way they had seen cards made that year...   The top 10 was such a fun one that year, because we had just welcomed daddy home from his deployment ...
Each year our cards are special to me and I love sending them, but with us buying a house this year, I wanted to do the Top 20 again...
Luckily for me, Shutterfly had a Top 10 of 2013 card and of course, that was what we went with :

I almost went with New Years cards, as I thought it would be fun and different...

I hate to admit it, but I always used to associate Shutterfly with Christmas cards....
They have so much more... from photo books (that was the end of the year gift for the teachers last year) to ornaments, prints and more...  There is so much to enjoy from Shutterfly and if the other products are anything like the cards, you will be so impressed!  I love the quality of the photo print and the cards!!!

Luckily for you...
One reader is going to win a $50 gift code (plus shipping)
The code expires on 12/31/13, so you will have to be fast ordering...

2 Guns Under the Tree

FTC Compliant Review Policy:
The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency for the sole purpose of product testing. Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation.

I will totally admit that I used to love Mark Wahlberg... back in his Marky Mark days..  So, with that being said, I have really enjoyed watching him evolve from the music guy to the actor... and I was excited to see 2 Guns..    Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington in the same movie?  (Oh, I might have forgotten to mention that I think Denzel is an awesome actor!!!)
Anyways, the other day I did something I never do...
Really...
I dropped Broxton off at school and came home and watched a movie.
Shhhhhhhhh... I really did ... and after watching it, I am glad I watched then, as the language was a bit rough!!!  When it first started, I noticed Denzel said something (instead of profanity) but then a few minutes later, it was over...   profanity at its finest...(not like some I have tried to watch)

I did enjoy the movie though... I realize if he is not in the house, I can overlook it so much more than if he is anywhere near.   2 Guns was a movie I did like, but I will tell you, I had to back it up a few times, as I was trying to multitask and realized I missed a few things...

Synopsis:
When an attempt to take down a drug cartel blows up in their faces, two undercover operatives are forced to go on the run together, though neither knows that the other is a federal agent. Suddenly, everyone on both sides of the law wants them dead, and their only hope is to trust each other.

THIS IS A REPOST. THE GIVEAWAY has ended.

Oh my goodness, talk about a great weekend for College Football!!!
Wow, I know I can not be the only one thinking that, as it was nuts and awesome and nerve-wracking and exciting and ... and ... and...
Just wow - wow- wow..

So - knowing how much I love my Georgia Bulldogs, I am so excited to tell you about one of the products that literally made my jaw drop while I was at Americas Mart this past summer..
Masik Collegiate Fragrances!
Yes, you read that right....
I saw the "collegiate" area and you know that pulled me in like a magnet to a refrigerator!  I had to go check it out... and I met the sweetest lady, Katie, while there... We got to talking about her company, Masik Collegiate Fragrances and I was just in awe...
Let me tell you about it:
Long story short, Katie started making fragrances that would allow the wearer to reminisce of their college days...the emotions, the memories...you know what I mean...
But, she didn't want to have the final say, she wanted input from those on campus....

"I wanted the scents to be special and inspired by elements such as school colors, campus style, flowers and trees, traditions and location.  I also thought it was important for the schools to be involved in the process – from the initial fragrance inspiration brief, to smelling the custom scents and selecting their favorite ones."

Of course, my love of my Georgia Bulldogs had me grab that one to smell first... ( I was quite honestly a bit skeptical how she could bottle up all the scents to be different, but still hold true to the school being represented...)  I loved it... and you know being MARRIED to a LSU Tiger fan, I had to smell that one as well... Surprisingly enough, I loved it as well!!! Maybe even more than UGA, I am not sure... but I will never admit it, I do have family to keep!

A signature scent exclusively created to capture the essence of the University of Georgia. The Beauty of the Arch, The Power of the Red and Black and The Dignity of the Bulldogs. Modern, Sophisticated and Fierce.

Frosty from Build a Bear Is Here!!!

FTC Compliant Review Policy:
The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency for the sole purpose of product testing. Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation.

If you follow me on Instagram, you saw me post a couple pictures of  Broxton and his new friend, Frosty...   Well, today I get to tell you about Frosty and what all is going on at Build-A-Bear.
For the longest time, I thought that Build a Bear was just the workshop... You know, you go in and you build your own bear...  now I know, that is not all true!

You can actually buy already stuffed animals!!!!

Broxton saw the Build A Bear commercial and immediately thought that we needed Rudolph and Frosty for our house.  (We are still in the process of decorating, we have minimal things and one would be a great addition to our Christmas decor.)  We were lucky enough to open the door and find that Frosty had been delivered from Build A Bear for us to love.  To see the face of that boy when he opened the box... Amazing!  I know that he is so appreciative when he has that grin and screams "YOU ARE THE BEST MOM EVER!"    Talk about melting a mama's heart!!!

I was very impressed with how SOFT Frosty was!   He did feel soft as snow, but you don't have to worry about him melting!!!   How awesome is that?    I also loved that Frosty comes with his signature magic hat...  and you can also purchase the accessory pack that  has a broom, a pipe and a scarf that says "Frosty the Snowman" on it.

Broxton was so loving his new friend that he had to take him with us while we went to visit my parents over the weekend!   The great part?  We were able to watch "Frosty" on television that night!!!   The below picture  was Broxton with his daddy and his papa, snuggling with Frosty while watching Frosty!!!!

Bottom line is that you need to check out Build  A Bear for your gift giving needs!!!!  You can purchase a variety of Christmas themed stuffed animals (for all different prices too!)  We will be heading to look at getting Rudolph or Clarice at some point, we just need to have them in our home!!!

You could also give them a stuffed animal and then also throw in a gift card for them to go and either buy accessories or build a bear of their own!!!
One more thing... If you have a My Little Pony fan ....  They have them too!!!

Make sure to follow Build A Bear on  facebook.
