Impressive and Saves Money: @bladebuddy_ #military

Image
I am beyond impressed...  With Marc being military, he shaves... Often.  Pretty much daily. Although, I will admit, with him being National Guard and only having weekend drill, he doesn't shave EVERY single day...  Just most days! You know what that means? That means we go through a TON of razor blades...  He pretty much uses the same brand of razors... I think he has changed 3 times since I have known him...  Always the same though... You have to buy the razor blades and they are NEVER cheap!!!!!  I don't blame him though, shaving his WHOLE head and face, I wouldn't want some cheap thing on me cutting me all to pieces.  So, when I saw that there was a "blade buddy" out there that would cut down on our purchases of razor blades, you KNOW I wanted to try it out! Lucky for me, I emailed them and we were sent one for review. What exactly IS a Blade Buddy ? It is a product I think every house that has someone who shaves needs! It is this lit...

Tablet? iPad? Advice Please... Aloha Friday

Image
I know that Aloha Friday is a day to take it easy... and to ask a simple question... But, this time... I need advice...  Marc and I have been trying for MONTHS now to figure out what tablet is best...  Top it off, tablet or ipad?  There is just so MUCH out there now...  I hear different things about each...  The main drawback on ipads?   No usb and not able to access all sites...  Main drawbacks on tablets? Not ipads.... So----------   My question this week: What do you recommend?   iPad or tablet?  Why? Any and all advice is GREATLY appreciated!

Wipe It Clean With Scotch-Brite

Image
I don't know about your house... But around here, there is no telling what might come in...  As we speak, we have a jar with a dead caterpillar in it... Marc and Broxton went out on a mission to find one, but it didn't make it through the night...  With all the "goodies" Broxton brings me, you can imagine the wiping of the counters...  I was sent  Scotch-Brite Botanical Disinfecting Wipes for review and now it is a breeze wiping as we go!   Between arts and crafts projects (he is really enjoying modeling clay these days) to leaves and what not... I can simply grab a wipe from their canister and then go about our day. In the past, I would wipe with a disinfecting wipe and then come back and feel the need to rinse to make sure that the chemicals from cleaning were gone...  Now, I just wipe and go.   The Scotch-Brite is made with botanically pure plant extract...  Not to mention it kills up to 99.9% of germs! ...

Let's Go Out To The Movies

Image
With all the Disney / Pixar movies coming out...  Looks as though Broxton and I will be having a couple "dates" soon.... For the longest time, he was obsessed with the movie, Monsters Inc... Now that it will be coming out in 3D, I am so excited!   Is anyone else excited? Do you have "dates" with your little ones to the movies or to lunch? ***** I was not asked to post this, just wanted to share... *****

Need a Great Page Turner for your Kids? Horten's Incredible Illusions

Image
I love to read.  We all know that by now... Well, people that know me, they know it... I had the chance to review a new "middle school grade" book and I was eager to see how it would be. You know, it is hard to get kids interested in reading if the book is not interesting, so I was a bit hesitant... Seems as though all of the books the school suggests seem to be boring, at least to my boys....  I loved English class and all of the books, so I just do not know... Well, Horten's Incredible Illusions showed up in the mail and I sat down to see what it was about... I think this book is great!  Not only do I think it is great for middle school aged kids, I personally think it is a great (easy) read for kids of all ages... Also, I believe that this would be a great book for both boys and girls..  Let me try and give you a brief summary.... Stuart Horten is a "new kid in town" and he has just found his late uncle's magic workshop.   (If you...

Shaving Cream Fun - W/W

Image
We have been having shaving cream fun... Meaning that after arts and crafts (and a bit of a mess with the markers!)  we moved on to playing with shaving cream... He loved "drawing" in it and getting messy...  I loved that it "cleaned" the marker mess!!!!  Image Credit: N.Vision Photography Image Credit: N.Vision Photography Image Credit: N.Vision Photography Image Credit: N.Vision Photography Do you ever have "shaving cream fun"? Have a great week!

I never have been a makeup person. You either love me or hate me, but makeup isn't going...

Preparation Is Key - Calenders Prevent Chaos!

Image
I am a calender person...  I used to have a million of them..  One would hang up, one was in my purse, one on my desk...  You get the picture...  Then, Broxton came along and so went my calender.   I still have one for blogging, but that is about it!  Now that Broxton has started school, I knew that I needed at least A calender again... Between his school events, Marc's drill stuff, Marc's work and then with me wanting to join MOPS, I needed one to figure out what and where and when.. I was so excited to have the chance to review one of the removable wall decal calenders from Wall Pops. It arrived in a nice little roll and I was quick to place it on my wall!  I knew exactly where I wanted it to go. It might not be the most practical for everyone, but hey... It is my house and how I want it, you know?!  When I am on the phone, I tend to stand in one area... That is now where my calender is... It is on the tiny wall space betwe...
