As long as I have been a mom, I have known of Thomas and Friends. When I was pregnant with Broxton,  I had Marc read books to him.  When Broxton was born, I kept reading the books and he ended up loving the TV show.  We watched all of them.  We had so many of the DVD's to enjoy, not to mention toys... lots and lots of toys!!!!  We were lucky to even get to go ride Thomas when it came near us (on more than one occasion!)  Saying all of that, when we were given the chance to review a new Thomas and Friends toy, we were all about it, especially considering we now have Savannah to get aboard! I always say that I travel with Precious Cargo...  As Broxton and Marc both fit into that category...  But, it isn't always just us.... Broxton has to bring different friends on all the adventures we go on. You know that this house LOVES Thomas the Train! That means we were so excited to see that Thomas has a Merry Christmas DVD out!!!! Broxton was so excited to see Thomas in the snow! As soon as I put the DVD in and he heard Thomas blow his whistle, his face lit up! "THOMAS!!!" I love how he smiles! We sat there and watched the movie, talking about the snow. Thomas sings the Sodor Snow Song to get into the holiday spirit. He learns that when he is hard at work and doing his job, things will happen. The one episode I enjoyed was when Thomas was trying to plan a party for his friends. Instead of letting Victor know, he tried to be sneaky. That meant that things went wrong. As we all know, Broxton LOVES Thomas and Friends... We have the toys, the books and of course, the DVD's . I was excited to know that we would be adding to our DVD collection with the newest DVD from them. Thomas and Friends: Day of the Diesel was not really what we were expecting. Yes, it had Thomas and Percy, but it seemed a bit too "negative" for Broxton . Don't get me wrong, we don't try and pretend the world is perfect.. With this DVD, it just seemed a little older than for a 2 and a half year old. This DVD has the introduction of two new firefighting engines... Flynn and Belle. Broxton LOVED it!!!!! Thomas shows them around Sodor Island, but in the process of doing so, Percy gets pushed to the side and is feeling ignored! Then, there are the Diesels... Ugh......
