I love the story (and music) and Broxton loves Olaf.  It works out great for us and we need to actually watch the movie again soon, I am missing singing along! We have been lucky to have had the chance to read several of the Disney Line of Frozen Books and they just keep releasing them!  I love it though, what better way to get a child interested in reading than to write about something they enjoy????   One of the latest books from Disney Frozen?   Elsa's Gift  . This is a great book!   In this book, Arendelle is celebrating winter --- but it is because that is the season, not because of Queen Elsa.  (Meaning, this takes ...

With Broxton being in Kindergarten now, we are reading every single night and having to log it into our reading journal.  We work on site words and I am SO EXCITED for the time when he can sit and read a book to me... It will be coming soon, I just know it!   We were sent the World of Reading Level Pre-1 for review and it was a new to me format.  In this set of books, we get 6 books :  Jake Hatches a Plan, X Marks the Croc!, The Case of the Missing Sparkleizer, Caught Blue Handed, Loud Louie and finally, Sophia Makes a Friend. We really enjoyed reading them and I really loved that it had a mix of the different Disney Junior Shows characters! If you are unfamiliar with Pre-1 level books, let me ...

Broxton is really getting more and more into reading and that makes me so happy!  Right now we are all about " what does S-T-O-P spell"  or "what does O-P-E-N spell"  every sign he can see, we have to discuss...   That is when we are riding around... Once we get home, we read books and have decided that we will start a book journal for the summer...  (We have never left the library with less than 5 books each time!)  What I love is that Disney Books has released the Super Hero "World of Reading" books and that makes little man happy- so that makes mama happy too!   Up first - The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - Fully Charged . This book has us meet Peter Parker aka Spider Man and learn...

Although summer break has started here (and most other places by now, right?)  it doesn't mean that it is time to put the books up. In my opinion, it is more important to keep reading books DURING the summer!!! Stimulate the mind, my friend, explore and discover new worlds and characters!   Or - you can be like us and revisit characters we know and love...  I was happy when we were sent the latest Disney Book Group Planes book to review -  Disney Planes - Fire and Rescue :  Dusty's Big Job  and we loved it! This was such a super cute book!   I loved the message behind it and as always, I loved the illustrations!   In Dusty's Big Job, we see Dusty as he has been told...

When Broxton had "X week" at school, I could not figure out WHAT we would be able to send in for show and tell that day...Until we checked out his ever growing  library, and we both spotted his latest additions, Marvel X-Men!  These are perfect for those wanting to learn about X-Men... (like moms!) and awesome for kids that are learning to love these super heroes more and more!   X-Men - An Origin Story Professor Charles Xavier has always been different.  Charles is a mutant, and possesses miraculous powers of mind control.  But Charles has a dream for humans and mutants to live together in peace.  And so he has formed the X-Men, an extraordinary band of men and women including C...

As I mentioned before, we are still pretty new to the "World of Reading" series... but I am really enjoying the books so far!  I love how the levels mature with the kids... We were recently sent  World Of Reading - This is Captain America   from Disney Books and I personally enjoyed it.  Broxton is a big fan of the Avengers - Captain America being his favorite, but I never really knew "how" Cap became who he was...    Reading this book gave us the background on Cap and we both really enjoyed it.  I know that this will be awesome for him when he starts actually reading next year.   Up next was the World of Reading - Spidey's New Costume .  Being that we are not r...

I remember looking back on photos of my parents on their trip to Disney... Photos of when I was at Disney... Photos of when we took the boys to Disney... Not to mention our LOVE of pretty much all Disney Movies!!!  Well, we are so lucky to have been given the chance to add Disney Books to our home library now!!   I have posted a couple of the books we have been able to review - from Sophia the First  ,   Jake and the Neverland Pirates and even Minnie Mouse  ... But don't you worry - there are still many more to come!  Up now, we have two new books.... From Frozen - An Amazing Snowman  - this book is just too c...

But I am sure it is coming soon.  I mean, Broxton is in school and hears all sorts of things on a daily basis.  He will sit and watch shows with me that are somewhat geared more towards girls.  No, he doesn't normally ask for them - but he will watch and snuggle with me!    We were sent 2 more books + digital codes from Disney Books and this time they were centered on Sofia the First.   When this show first came out on TV, we watched.  He wasn't THAT into it... but he did enjoy it with me.  I sat down and read these books the other day.  He wasn't home yet and I wanted to see if I thought he would en...

As we all know, technology is taking over the world.  I think I am going to be one of the last few holding on to my paperback book... but, I do like technology as well!  When we opened the mail and found a few  new books for Broxton, I was excited to see that they were not only hard copy books.... Each purchase included a Mobile App!!!   That was so great to me - covering both bases!!!! Minnie's BowToons - Trouble Times Two is actually offered in a couple different formats.  You can purchase it as an ebook, as a sticker book (like the picture) or with the mobile app.  In the app, you get to design bows with Minnie!!!   This was a cute book to us, Broxton loved it too... Maybe ...

Are your kids into stickers?  Broxton has recently (within the last year) really started liking stickers and we actually made him a sticker book.  Side note- we also tried the "pen pal" route and had one girl that we were exchanging stickers with... He LOVED IT!!!     For his birthday, one of his aunts sent him a sticker book and he was so excited.  That being said, I knew when I saw the two sticker books from Disney that he was going to be so happy!!  As much as he loves stickers... and as much as I am hoping he loves reading... Talk about a win - win situation!!!  I am not sure if your house is into Doc McStuffins, but if you aren't... You need to be!   We love that show! It is so cute!  Doc is an ...

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. We never really do anything for St. Patricks Day, yes... We try and wear green, but that is about it...  Last year, a silly little leprechaun caused chaos in the classroom... but nothing at home...  I am thinking that this year the leprechaun might pay him a visit, would you like to know why??? Mainly because he will randomly talk about the silly leprechaun and his craziness at school last year, but also because now he is ALWAYS on the lookout for the little green clovers in our yard.  Actually, he looks for them in all yards!!!    I love the excitement and enjoyment from that little 5 year old... and like several of my posts this year... I want life to be more about #MakingMemories. ...
