Kids Parties - Yay or Nay? #WordlessWednesday

Image
I get so frustrated that each year I have a party for Broxton/Savannah and send invitations out.  I would love to have everyone attend, but I know sometimes it just isn't their thing... What annoys me is that most parents don't even bother to RSVP.  I know it should not bother me, but it does.  I normally put my number on the invitation and put to call or text. I know I would much rather text people, so that option is there.   Most parents don't do parties anymore either and that makes me sad.  Honestly, I was getting worried maybe they just did not want to come to my kiddo's party, but then the few we have been invited to, we make it a point to go.  Normally when we get there, we are just one or two of the "friends" that come and there are many treat bags left over where you can tell more kids were invited.  I would just feel HORRIBLE if a child had a party and no friends came, that is why I make it a point to go if at all possible when we are i...

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation . I am not sure if you are aware, but there is a football game being played this weekend that is sort of a big deal.  If you are not a football fan, you can still enjoy it because of all of the commercials sprinkled throughout the game.  I will be watching both the commercials and the game, what about you?  Some people go to the parties for neither the game nor the commercials, but they go for the spreads of food that many people have at their party.  What do you have planned to do for that fun Sunday event or is it just another day in your house? As I said, one main thing is all of the food that people do for the big game.  I remember back when I worked in a sports bar.  We had amazing ...

He is always singing and dancing at home and it makes me happy.  I know part of it is because he is getting older, but the other part is because his teacher last year used to have "Dance Party Friday" where they would get to listen to a song or two and dance around the classroom. I loved it and he looked forward to it each week!  If you are looking to have a Christmas party this year (or any kind of party where there will be music, look at the Kidz Bop CD's.  They are songs sung BY kids... and are all clean... so no worries on profanity!)   KIDZ BOP Christmas Wish List TRACKLIST Santa Claus Is Coming To Town All I Want For Christmas Is You ...

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. Last week we were able to go to the official opening of Main Event Entertainment in Alpharetta ... What you didn't know is that we were there just a few days before learning what all is offered when you have a birthday party there... (You also might not have known that we went back last weekend when my parents came to town...  We really love that place... Also, we had friends that saw our review that headed there today...  we might have tried to meet them, but it was just not happening today.)   So - today I want to tell you about their birthday party options...  The day of the party was our first time at Main Event and you pull up to a massive building, it is very festive looking and let...

How We Do It....

If you read my post last week, my little boy is now a big 5 year old . I ask you this, WHERE does the time go???? It seems like just the other day he was born and though all the milestones are flying by, I am loving every single minute... Although I do wish they would slow down just a bit...  Anyways- he had his party this past weekend. We invited a few friends kids and then the kids in his class at school and his karate class. We actually had a nice turnout and we really liked the whole thing. I LOVED the smiles and excitement on all of the kids faces... From the time they walked in, until they left... It was screaming, yelling and a great time! I did want to share a few pictures, but I also wanted to make sure I was not showing any of the other kids, so the pictures are limited...  Sitting on the "cake" while all the kids were introduced to one another.   (They also all had to give Broxton a high 5!) One of the activities?  Knocking down this triangle. ...

Cocktails Made Easy @DrinkCordina

Hang on to your hats, guys and gals!!!! I have a product to tell you about!  I recently heard of a drink that I was eager to tell you about... Luckily I was able to review it so get ready to say, " I need to run to the store!" Cordina is a company based out of New Orleans.  Yep, I know I have your attention now!   They are in the business of making frozen drinks!  Think of a "Juice Box" for adults. Cordina is the name, bigeasyblends.com is their site. They have Mar-Go-Rita's, Pina-Go-Lata, Daiq-Go-Ri and Choc-Go-Late flavors sure to make your taste buds fall in love. Each of the pouches have a 6% alcohol base and are in easy to carry pouches.  Let me point out a few things I like about these.  One - they have screw top lids.  That way, if you want to drink some now and save some for later... (I know, you might not want to, but it would be nice to share)  you can do it with no mess.  Two - they have great flavors....

Kidz Bop: Ultimate Hits Is Our Summer CD

Image
Music is so fun for us! We love it...  We as in Marc, ALL the boys... and you know I love it... I love country the most... and Marc is more into Classic Rock...  That means the car is normally turned to the classic rock stations when Marc is driving.. and if I am driving, we normally have a DVD going... So, I don't get to listen to much these days...  Until I get to watch my shows... and then I hear all the songs...  Back when I worked, we had a radio on in the kitchen, so if I was back there, I had music... and if there wasn't a big sporting event, we had music on out front.. (Remember, I worked in a sports bar...) So..........  Why am I telling you all of this? Because I want to tell you about a new CD that Broxton and I have been jamming to! Kidz Bop: Ultimate Hits The last time we went home, I put it in the car...  Once we got on the highway, I turned it on and the next thing I knew... Broxton was in his car seat "seat d...

Have a Tween or Teen? Light their Style!

Every time you turn around, there is something new, different and pretty dang cool. I know that as a kid growing up in Georgia, we went to Stone Mountain.  They had the laser show at night... and you would see people walking around selling the glow in the dark necklace/bracelets... You could buy a couple and twist them, or wave them in the air... Well, now you can have all sorts of glow in the dark LED fashion, without having to go to a show to get them. Just head on over to Radar Marketing and see what all products they carry. We were lucky to review a couple different items and I tell you, the boys were pretty excited over the light up shoe laces. I gave them to one of the boys... He IMMEDIATELY had to get his shoes and put them in right at that moment... No need to worry that it was daylight out... he was just that excited.  So, we laced them up... and of course that meant showing them to his brothers... Uh Oh... Probably needed more! Well, they decided to share......
