I am totally loving the whole "subscription box" shopping that is going on these days.  It makes things fun and interesting.  I have been so lucky to have been working with Loot Crate in hosting reviews of their amazing boxes.  Each month, I think they have got to let me down at some point, I mean just how AWESOME is a company that always goes above and beyond, more than they did the month before?  Well, Loot Crate has YET to disappoint and that says so much to me! I knew that this was something I would want to take Broxton to, so I planned on having this as a surprise for him...  Then, I got an invite to go and check it out for the blog so I knew then it was going to happen!   He has seen the commercial a few times and each time he begs for me to take him... Each time, I tell him that we will try... Little does he know!    This looks like an action packed show!  I know that we will be on the edge of our seats the whole time!  Good thing it is coming while he is on school break, since I know that adrenaline will be pumping when we leave!    I can't wait to tell you ...

Although "chapter books" are a bit mature for Broxton, we still were happy when the Captain America books from Disney Publishing showed up in the mail!  I am not sure if you have to keep a reading log for how much you read to / with your child... but these were fun for us.  Each night, we would discuss if we were going to read 1-2 or 3 chapters... and then we would snuggle up and read them, logging the minutes for his school.    I love that although they are chapter books, they break things up with illustrations (and in The Secret Files book, they even have photos from the movie!) Both of these books would make great additions for the holidays... Either something to read on road trips over the holi...

Reading is so much fun for me... and actually it is a great time for Broxton and I to enjoy time together.  He grabs the books he wants me to read and I get to enjoy that time snuggled up reading and discussing things that are exciting to him.   A couple books that recently arrived were great additions to our library, thanks to Disney Books!! As I mentioned before, we are still pretty new to the "World of Reading" series... but I am really enjoying the books so far!  I love how the levels mature with the kids...
