Aloha Friday - Mood

It is Friday...
So, ALOHA everyone!

Just a question...
It is Aloha Friday, you know!

What mood are you in RIGHT THIS SECOND?
As for me?
I am TIRED! Broxton is working me like you have no idea with his fighting sleep!
Side note... If you have any pointers as to how to get him to GO to sleep and sleep THROUGH the night, I would love the tips...
But my Aloha question is just asking your mood...

Enjoy your weekend everyone..
Ps......... Check back this week... I have two REALLY great giveaways that I will be posting in the early part of the week!

Rubbermaid Drawer Organizer - Giveaway

I was recently sent the Rubbermaid Drawer Organizer for review.
(They are also letting one of you lucky readers win your own as well!)
I have to say, I was a bit shocked as to how wide it was.
I like how it comes in parts that interlock the way you want it.
I thought the way it was packaged together would be great for our drawer, but I was skeptical that it would fit. It seemed a bit too wide.

But, it wasn't!
It fit perfect!
It comes in several different sized compartments and they interlock each other to fit accordingly.
I was able to make a compartment for each of the "necessities" of our junk drawer!
For some reason, we have about 8 million boxes of matches... Not sure why, but now, they are nice and organized! (Yes, I know I should have gotten rid of them, but as soon as I did, we would have needed them!)
We now have our pens and pencils nice and stored!
Then, the "junk!"

I highly recommend the junk drawer organizer! I think I am going to get one for my desk!
LOL, I do not even have a drawer on my desk, but this organizer would really help the clutter on the shelf! :)

Now, on to the giveaway.
PLEASE LEAVE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS IF IT IS NOT ON YOUR PROFILE. I must have a way to contact you if you are the winner!
Pretty easy to enter this..
Just tell me what drawer you would use it for....
Junk? Makeup? Crafts? Silverware? Something else? Just let me know..
How much easier can it get?!

Screen Play - Book Review

Just finished a great book and I wanted to go ahead and let you know about it.
Screen Play, by Chris Coppernoll

I really enjoyed reading this book!
Do you remember when you were in school and you had to write a paper? The teacher ALWAYS told you to make sure that the first sentence was one that would grab your reader and keep their attention...
Well, the opening of this book:
" I absolutely had to be in New York by 1:30 p.m. Did my life depend upon it? Yes, as a matter of fact, it did."
Okay, you have my attention! What is going on that you have to be there by 1:30? and WHO are you? I started reading and I kept going and going...
I really enjoyed how this book told you that God was there to help you through things. I did think it was cute that the author has his character mention the others reading his wife's book! LOL, I felt as though Harper was rushing through life and I was hoping that there was something that I could do to help her! I mean, she HAD to be there by 1:30, for some reason... It was important to her, so come on... just let her get there!
You feel sorry for Harper, everything that was going so right is now oh so wrong. But when the doors finally open and shine a bright light her way, you wonder as she does if it is finally going to go her way, or is it too good to be true?
We meet Ben and Avril later in the book and then we learn of Harpers desire to find love.... Through an online dating service! It cracks me up that the people she matched with are NO WHERE near her... I mean, hello, she is IN NEW YORK!
The best part of the book to me is her love for God. Nothing and No one will stand in the way of her faith. She even pushes some away, but at some point in our life, haven't we all faced obstacles that we had to decide the order of importance?
I really enjoyed this book and I do not want to give away the story..
Check it out and realize that God has a plan, for all of us!
Oh yeah, did I mention that he even mentions a church in MY HOMETOWN that has been making Christian movies? Yep! He does! The author mentions Sherwood Baptist Church as being behind the movies "Facing the Giants" as well as "Fireproof"

Here is the synopsis from the Publisher:

Sometimes the person farthest away from you

is the one who’s closest to your heart.

Author Chris Coppernoll explores Broadway, Hollywood, love and online dating in his latest novel, ScreenPlay

483 Screen Play bk coverScreen Play (David C. Cook 2010), the third novel from author Chris Coppernoll is an inspiring story of friendship and faith set amidst the complexities of Hollywood and cleverly combined with an uplifting love story reminiscent of Sleepless in Seattle.

At thirty, Harper fears her chances for a thriving acting career and finding true love are both fading fast. After a devastating year of unemployment and isolation in Chicago, Harper is offered an unexpected role in a Broadway play—as understudy to New York’s biggest diva––and everything in Harper's world changes.

Harper also hopes to find love in NYC, but when it doesn't happen, she reluctantly signs up to an online matchmaking site. Frustration mounts when the only match Harper is even remotely interested in lives in a remote territory on the opposite coast, thousands of miles away. A faith conversation during her year in Chicago shapes how Harper sees everything. She wants to see God at work in her life, but His ways are mysterious, and she's faced with challenges in the secular world of Broadway. Harper feels like an actress who doesn’t act and a woman in love with someone she's never even seen, but God's about to change all that.

Linked through the contemporary, text message world of internet dating, Harper learns it's possible to care for someone outside her own universe, even when that someone can't be touched, and ultimately how to love. She reaches out through the impersonal world of cyberspace and becomes more aware than ever of God reaching out to her. Sometimes the person farthest away from you, she discovers, is the one who's closest to your heart.

Screen Play is a story about believing that God can do great things, even when we’re at our weakest,” say Coppernoll. “I hope readers will be swept up in Harper’s story instantly and that their excitement won’t let up until the very last page.”

Romantic Times Online Magazine has given Screen Play 4 ½ stars and selected the novel as a “Top Pick”.
