Lucy and the Secret Room #AD #raisingareader

I love getting books to share with the kids.  Some Broxton gets, some are for Savannah and then there are some that I read that aren't really age appropriate (too old or to young) and then we either keep to be read later, or we share with one of their schools.  Some we even take to our local Little Free Libraries.  Either way, they are enjoyed and this is another...  I wanted to keep it for Savannah, but felt she had a few more years before she would read, so we actually sent this out to the Little Free Library world for enjoyment!    FTC Compliant Review Policy:    The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency for the sole purpose of product testing. Is STEM a thing your kids are into? I knew nothing of it, until Broxton started Elementary School and brought home a flier about "STEM NIGHT."  That had me trying to figure it all out. S - Science T - Technology E - Engineering M - Math Now, it seems like STEM is everywhere, or either I just notice it more now than before.  Did you know that great kids shows like BLAZE  and the Monster Machines also teaches STEM? Broxton loves to build.  He loves building blocks, but he will also build with just about anything he can get his hands on.  Yes, that includes taking my wooden domino's and using them to build walls for his army men. When I was given the chance to review a new toy out there, BRACKITZ, I knew this would be fun for all of us! I thought the Brackitz set was loads of fun.  They come in fun colors and are perfect sized for little hands and big ones too!   The only thing I did not like?  For some reason, all toys / games/ building sets don't seem to come in a storage system to my liking.  I understand cutting down on cost by packing in light cardboard packaging, but even if it wa...

Having a child in elementary school, we are always hearing about STEM.  We even have STEM night at our school once a year!  I do wish they would do it once every quarter or something, but hey... we can make the most out of it and enjoy it when it is offered and find ways to work on STEM activities through the year outside of school. Unsure of STEM? Science - Technology - Engineering - Math If you want a little help at home (without the kids realizing they are learning things) check out the latest DVD from Nickelodeon. It is from their LET'S LEARN line and we love them all.  Not only do you get fun and educational programming, it is filled with the characters that our kids love!    FTC Compliant Review Policy: The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency for the sole purpose of product testing. Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation .   Are you familiar with S.T.E.M?  I will tell you, I had never heard of it until Broxton started Kindergarten and even then, I wasn't familiar with the term until they had "STEM NIGHT" at school and we went to let me see what all this was about.  Since that night, I have heard STEM mentioned numerous times and I love that "Science, Technology, Engineering and Math" are being introduced to kids at a younger age... Yes, numbers and the alphabet are great and they need to know that, but also it is great to introduce them to other things to learn to really expand their mind.  When Broxton started watching BLAZE, we saw STEM being involved, now we get to see that STEM teaching is crossing other Nic...
