When I was younger, my mom used to give my brother and I Christmas ornaments... My grandmother gave me quite a few as well through the years... Then, when I had my own tree, I actually had a couple to put on.. So, when Marc and I got married, I knew that was something I wanted to do for the boys. It would be nice... Have the different ornaments on our tree, but as they married, give them all of their ornaments through the years to add to their tree... I wanted them to be personal and just for them... When looking for a great Christmas gift this year, think of a personalized book! We were able to review the " I See Me " line's Christmas book... " Broxton's Very Merry Christmas" was a huge hit for him! When we received it, I went ahead and gave it to him. We read the pages and he loved seeing (and hearing) his name throughout the book. I love that it has his name on the front of the book, as well as the binding!!!! I have noticed with some books, they just don't write anything on the binding, this works great for his bookshelf! I was thinking about how hard it must be to be a foreign exchange student here... The language can be a bit difficult. Think about how many words have different meanings/spellings... Not to mention how things are interpreted. With the book " English Idioms and Expressions For Everyone, Yes, Even You !" you can read and see just how difficult it might be. Besides seeing how difficult it is to learn English, you can also learn a bit as well! Take for example: "Butterflies in stomach" - We all know that it doesn't literally mean "butterflies IN stomach" but to someone learning, they might be confused... I have reviewed books by Elizabeth Verdick in the Toddler Tools Series before and this one is perfect for my holiday gift guide. The book I am referring to? On The Go Time by Elizabeth Verdick . With so much to do, there is bound to be a time or two when you have to load your little one up to go run errands... Be it to the store for a holiday meal or to buy gifts... I really liked this book. As with all the books in this series, it is a board book. Also, it is as vibrantly illustrated and simply written so that kids of all ages understand. Let me tell you about this book: "What comes before Go? We know... Get Ready! Get Set!" Then... the book explores all the places you GO. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED that it started with Go to the Potty before you leave. We work on this with Broxton all the time!!!! It also goes through getting ready to go... Then, another great part? When the little ones start wanting anything and everything... (and are told no) It reminds them to take breath...

With the weather changing, you know that means we will get a cold or two in this household... I hate that, but it has always happened, each and every year, for as long as I can remember. I heard about the Kidz -Med Vera Temp Thermometer and I was eager to review it. Have you heard of Vera Temp? The NON TOUCH thermometer... We received it in the mail and I immediately took it out for play, I mean... REVIEW. It is a NON TOUCH thermometer. Not to mention, it doesn't just take the temperature of humans...
