Fathers Day is right around the corner and I wanted to share a few titles that were sent to me that would be great books to give to the Father figure in your life this year.  A couple of these would be great for new parents! I have not read any of these, but did want to share with you in case someone was looking for a perfect gift!  Keep in mind you don't have to give these just as Fathers Day gifts either...  They would be perfect whenever! Up first is a Christmas themed book, Sofia's first Christmas.  In this book, Sofia gets to spend Christmas with her friend Vivian.  They have a great time together, I loved the book, and the message : the best gift of all is spending time with those you love!  The other book that would be great to give is Let the Good Times Troll.  In this book, we get to meet the trolls that have been banished to live under the castle.  Of course, Sofia finds out what really happened and sets out to make things right.  Find out what ends up happening to make this a great story too!   ...

School is about to start here, but that doesn't mean that the reading has to end.  I know that kids have a good amount of school work, but lucky for us, some of it includes nightly reading.  When I was growing up, my Nana would make me read the newspaper to her, she said it would help with my reading and my vocabulary.  I did it, but I know I would have had more fun reading books that were filled with characters I loved too!!! (She did take me to the library all the time, so no worries, I had fun reading material too!)  Anyways, I wanted to share a few new books from Disney Publishing.  If you don't want to add to your home library, think about buying a couple and donating them to your local school...

I have no shame in saying I love to read.  I read a little of this and a little of that.  Truth be told, if it is an easy read, I will normally try and check it out.  I don't do well with history and things like that, but other for the most part, I will try anything.  That being said, I was sent a couple of the new books from Disney Publishing for their new Original Movie, The Descendants.  I know that this is above Broxton's level, but I just might try to read them to see what they are all about.  I know the previews to the movie looks great, so it won't hurt to read them, right?  Check out a few of the selections they offer below:  Descendants Junior Novel  Age 12 + Whe...

I hope you have seen the movie, Inside Out.  It is a cute movie and I love the message behind it.  Since it is new and popular, Disney has gone ahead and released several books for all ages to enjoy this story.  I love that they released them during the summer, when some kids stop reading.  Maybe this will be what they need to get those juices flowing!   The two books I am sharing today (I shared two yesterday, go check it out)  are for two different age groups. One is for older kids (9-12) and one is for the younger ones (3-5)  either way, great books and a great message!  Enjoy!  If you haven't seen the movie, I hope you do soon!   Inside Out -Driven By Emotio...

Summer break doesn't mean break from reading.  We still love books and of course, interest is more if it is a subject that brings excitement!   We were sent a couple books based on the new Disney Pixar movie, Inside Out.  We loved the movie, so I was excited to get the books!  I am sharing two today and will share two more tomorrow!  This would be great for summer reading, or to make a fun bag for road tripping!   Inside Out - Sadly Ever After   This is a hard back book with pages full of colorful illustrations that are sure to grab your attention. Each page lets us follow Joy and Sadness as they understand why Sadness is such a big part of life. One thing I loved ab...

I think that is how we first learned about our first book, Sheriff Callie's Wild West.  This show follows a cute little cat named Callie and in the book we were sent, I was able to learn how she became SHERIFF Callie!  In The Cat who Tamed The West , we meet Callie and her horse, Sparky.  They are out for an afternoon ride and after some time, they worked up quite a thirst and ended up in a town called Mean and Messy Corners!  As Callie is in the town trying to get something to drink, she e...

They have now released books that are shaped like purses for the little Diva in your life!  The "books/ purses" are hardback and inside each are short stories/ scenarios that are a few pages each with plenty of stickers!  I did love that the pages are more of a glossy cardstock, so that the stickers will work great on them!   Minnie's Purse   has us follow Minnie on her different adventures.  She always seems to be prepared in her purse with whatever she might need... No matter if it is just a day at the beach or if it is for a party!  Minnie and her bows are always there and ready to save the day!   Sofia's Purse  is a cute book ...

One of my very best friends just had her first baby!  I am so excited and this is where the miles between friends really hurts and I wish we were closer in distance! Even though I can not be there to see her little one grow up, doesn't mean I can not send a couple books to start her son on a love of learning like we have at our house!    The book I am sending first?   Disney Baby - My First Words   .  No, I know that they will not be reading words and her newborn will not be talking yet... but I do know that it is a great book to have on hand to work with down the road and with it being Disney book, it is a great keepsake one too!   In this book, we have the different Disney...
