With Valentines Day right around the corner, change things up instead of just the usual box of chocolates for your sweetie!   Why not give them a sockscription?   Instead of the basic black socks for work, give them some funky socks to have a bit of fun at the workplace!
We were sent a pair of their socks, the ones we were sent were the style called "Eleven"
I got them for Marc to wear for church, but I wanted to try them out first!  They were so comfortable.  They fit, without being tight.  They were thick enough to not be cold (like pantyhose or something) but they were not thick like regular socks.  The easiest way to describe them would say they were like "trouser socks" if that makes sense.

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. My brother grew up loving Scooby Doo.  When Broxton was around 3, he became Scooby Doo obsessed and had to have Scooby underwear, coloring books, stickers, you name it... he LOVED Scooby.  Out of nowhere, the love for Scooby faded away and "Sccoby Dooby Doo, Where are you?  We got some work to do now! " was no longer a song being sung in the house.  I don't know where or how or why it happened... but then, just as suddenly as it disappeared, the love for Scooby has just recently returned! He wears his Scooby Doo shirt at night now, You know... since kids (in Kindergarten) are not to wear cartoon shirts, according to a classmate!     He watches Scooby whenever I allow it to be on and we have even started a tradit…

Well, what would you call it?

Broxton cracks me up.
He gets pretty literal when he calls things names.
We passed by a Loves gas station and he told me we needed to stop so he could go into "Hearts" to see what all they had for sale.
What are some funny names your kid(s) have called things?

Yes, that loveable little girl that has been teaching kids life lessons (and sneaking in a bit of Spanish as well) has grown up and we get to see it!  Check this out :  "Dora and Friends features the iconic character Dora living in a city, attending school and at the center of a peer group that works together to give back to the community--having both real-life and magical adventures along the way." We have not watched this yet, but I will be surprising Broxton with it soon!  He has already asked me when he will start taking Spanish at school and finds it so fascinating to hear people speaking Spanish around him whenever we are out in public! Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. I am not sure about you, but I have seen "oil pulling" all over the internet lately.  At first, I wasn't so sure about it, but when I was contacted about working in a review for Pulling Oil from Gurunanda, I thought I would give it a try.
To be honest, I thought it was going to be pretty easy. Just put a bit in my mouth, swish for a bit, spit, brush my teeth and be done with it.  Well, it isn't that easy!  Yes, that is what you do, but it is hard to swish all that oil around in your mouth.  The directions say to start with just swishing the oil for two to three minutes, working your way up to 15 minutes.  I thought the 15 minutes would be so easy, but when it was time to try it out, it was actually quite …

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. Winter months means we need to take care of our skin.  If you remember, Broxton has eczema that likes to flare up when the weather changes.  I don't go slathering Vaseline on him before school, but there are times when I do put it on him before bed.  I know that the Vaseline locks in moisture and Vaseline has been a name we have trusted for all of my life.  We are lucky enough that his school actually has a "school nurse" (I actually thought ALL schools had them, but Marc heard on the news the other day that not all schools require them)  and not too long ago, we had a note sent home with a list of items they were in need of.  One item on the list? Vaseline. I had to go in and ask why they would need Vaseline a…
