It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here.  This past weekend, we had the opportunity to have a movie night thanks to the movie, Angels sing to kick off the festivities. We made sugar cookies (and decorated them) Yeah, I need LOTS of help in the baking department, but we had fun and that is all that matters.  We decorated the tree.  The tree has been redecorated thanks to having a 1 year old that wants to help too.  We even got a couple penguin decorations to remember the fun of this weekend as part of getting ready for the holidays.   FTC Compliant Review Policy:   The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency  for the sole purpose of product testing. Earth's Best is a great candy alternative for Halloween!

It is almost Halloween! Can you believe that the end of October is almost here? I found the cutest costume for Broxton (he loves all Minecraft things and watching You Tube videos.  I decided that I would let him be DanTDM, one of the Tube Heroes.) Then, he decided he didn't want to be that after all, so we went with a Minecraft Creeper.  Now that we are less than a week away, he has decided that a creeper isn't what he wants to be and that a Ninja is the best idea for him.  He has a new costume and has now worn it, so there is no turning back now! I know that not everyone likes giving out candy for Halloween.  Hey, not everyone likes their child getting tons of candy either. ...

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation . If you ask someone who their hero is, I am sure you will get 5 million different answers.  I was asked to be part of the #ShareYourHero Campaign with Mrs. Fields Cookies and I was thrilled to be a part of it.  First of all, I asked my 6 year old who a hero to him was.  OF COURSE his first answer was his daddy.  Not only because he is his daddy, but also because of the military.  Then, I asked him if he could tell me what a hero was.  He said a hero is somebody that is a good person and that helps you. If you look up the definition of a hero , it says:  1.   a man of distinguished courage or ability, admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities. 2. ...

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. Everything seems to be a struggle around here lately, so I am always up for great suggestions!  Since Broxton has started kindergarten, each day is new as to his likes and dislikes and I have to just sort of  go with the fact that he is really becoming his own person. One thing that also changes? His hunger... Some days he walks in "starving to death" as he says... and other days he is " still really full" and doesn't want to eat.  I have several varieties of snacks and treats so that leaves an endless opportunity for him to snack if need be.  I was excited to learn about Dick & Jane Educational Snacks and was eager to see how Broxton would like them.   Dick & Jane Education Sna...
