Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation.   I made the comment the other day that I want to take more time to read books for me.  (I love to read and will hardly ever turn down an invitation to read to Broxton, so I have dedicated carpool as my time to read books for me, since when I am at home, the reading time goes to him.)  I was contacted about reviewing a book, Messy Beautiful Love, and I did try reading it once... but quite honestly, I was in the mood for a quick read, a no brainer, something to pass the time without much thought.  That was not this book and I wanted to give it the attention it deserves, so I put it down.  I have decided that this book would be best read (for me) as an early morning book when it is just me and my...

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation.   I hear plenty of things about Probiotics, and this particular product sounds like a great one for me to try at some point.  I had a hard time locating it, since I did not think about using the store locator .  FYI - it is sold at Kroger near me.  From their site: GoodBelly is a delicious beverage that contains live and active probiotic cultures. The exclusive probiotic in GoodBelly, called Lactobacillus plantarum 299v (LP299V ® ), is good for all kinds of reasons. It helps improve digestive health in your gut. (Did you know that’s where 70% of your immune system lives?) It’s just right for those of us who experience occasional digestive upset. It’s particularly good during and after a course...

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation.   Image Credit - Amazon It is weird how I find books.  I used to go to book stores and would look at all the new releases and would leave with a huge bag of books, but since book stores are so hard to find these days (just like Blockbuster - are there even any of them around now?)  I have to go about finding them differently now.  I was listening to the radio one morning and the local radio guy was talking about a new book that was from a debut author, she was from Atlanta, so I guess that was why it was on his radar, not really sure.  Anyways, he said the book was called before I go and it was a book about a lady who has cancer and has decided that she wants to find a new wife for her husb...

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. Most shows today are not really family friendly (I hate admitting that, but I feel that way most of the time).  I feel like most shows are showing things that are inappropriate or the language is questionable...  But, there is a timeless classic that is sure to make everyone laugh and is perfect for the whole family!  I told you before that Marc was a huge fan of the Wonder Years and I enjoy watching them as well (although I will say that I was not a die hard fan like Marc, but that might be an age thing too.)  If you are looking for a show to show what your childhood was like to your kids (sneak in a bit of childhood history) or you are just looking for a great show to watch, remember that the Wonder...

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation.   Looking for a better nights sleep?  Why not look at trying Breathe Right Nasal Strips? To be honest with you, I always associated them with people that snore, but even if you "think" you don't snore, you might want to try these out!  Read the article about snoring solutions if you are a snorer, or sleep next to one!  We were sent samples of the Lavender Scented Strips to check out and let me tell you, it is a bit weird (to me) how it works!     It is this little strip, sort of like a bandage, but hard and not really "flexible" like bandages are.  You lightly scratch the top, like a scratch and sniff sticker, and you are greeted with a lavender aroma.  I did not t...

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation.   Growing up, I loved playing with dolls and I loved a certain movie about a fun little girl that was the daughter of a pirate.  She was red headed ( Just like me) I love that this doll isn't like other dolls that have make up and non-realistic body proportions...   This is a great doll for open imagination play and the different themes of the dolls are sure to make kids excited to open this up!   I think that this would be a great Valentines (or birthday) gift for a kid you know!!!   Pirate Queen Lottie Doll  There is a pirate themed raft race at this year’s Branksea Regatta which starts at the pier and ends with a treasure hunt on Smugglers Cove beach. Lottie reads...

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation.   Photo Credit - Sterling Publishing     A new book that we have added to our library is from Sterling Publishing, I Love You Near and Far . This is such a cute book and as soon as Broxton saw it, he immediately took it in the car with us for a ride to the store.  We have read it a few different times and I just think it is too cute. It started off as a cute book that hit home for me, with Marc being in the military.  The miles were once far when he was deployed, but we talked about the love from daddy could go across miles and that is what this book tells. Since daddy is home now, we used this book to talk about how much he loves his family that isn't close in miles, but is super clo...

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. You know you have a kid that loves music when he sees the commercial for Kidz Bop and immediately starts asking you for the cd.  That is what happens to us whenever they release a new one!  I actually enjoy it, because the music is sung BY KIDS - FOR KIDS, so I don't have to worry about any issues with profanity! The latest Kidz Bop has been on constant play in the car since it arrived in the mail!  He loves it and well, after a million times of hearing the same song, I just end up tuning it all out!   The songs on Volume 27:  Shake it Off All About that Bass Fancy Boom Clap Rude Problem Am I Wrong Maps Really Don't Care Latch Break Free Cool Kids Shower Rather Be...
