Kubo and The Two Strings

I hate to say it, but I have heard nothing about Kubo and the Two Strings, set for release August 19, 2016.  The only information I have is what I have seen online, in my email.  Maybe its because its summer and we don't watch as much TV... I am not sure. Have you heard of it? Will you be watching?

This is not a sponsored post, just wanted to share.

Kubo and the Two Strings is an epic action-adventure set in a fantastical Japan from acclaimed animation studio LAIKA. Clever, kindhearted Kubo (voiced by Art Parkinson of “Game of Thrones”) ekes out a humble living, telling stories to the people of his seaside town including Hosato (George Takei), Akihiro (Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa), and Kameyo (Academy Award nominee Brenda Vaccaro). But his relatively quiet existence is shattered when he accidentally summons a spirit from his past which storms down from the heavens to enforce an age-old vendetta. Now on the run, Kubo joins forces with Monkey (Academy Award winner Charlize Theron) and Beetle (Academy Award winner Matthew McConaughey), and sets out on a thrilling quest to save his family and solve the mystery of his fallen father, the greatest samurai warrior the world has ever known. With the help of his shamisen – a magical musical instrument – Kubo must battle gods and monsters, including the vengeful Moon King (Academy Award nominee Ralph Fiennes) and the evil twin Sisters (Academy Award nominee Rooney Mara), to unlock the secret of his legacy, reunite his family, and fulfill his heroic destiny.
Director: Travis Knight
Writers: Marc Haimes and Chris Butler (“ParaNorman”)
Voice Cast: Charlize Theron, Art Parkinson, Ralph Fiennes, Rooney Mara, George Takei, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, Brenda Vaccaro, and Matthew McConaughey

Cute clothes without the hassle! #WeeBlessings #BackToSchool

I don't know about you, but shopping for kids can be a little stressful. At least for me it can be. Especially when you have a little one in the mix now!   I try and shop for Broxton online (or when he is not with me) and then have him try it on once we are home.  I have not done a huge amount of shopping for Savannah yet, THANK YOU BIG TIME to Previously loved items from my sister in law!   Now, we are at the stage where she is growing big time and we appear to be a season off.  That means I need to do some shopping, but I just don't enjoy it that much... I think because it is summer and hotter than Hades in some stores.  Lucky for me, I have been introduced to Wee Blessings and today I get to introduce you to them as well!

Wee Blessing is a monthly subscription service where you have a personal stylist for your children!  I was given a chance to check it out, so let me tell you about it.
Savannah getting ready for her birthday party!  Isn't the dress that was in her WEE BLESSINGS box just too cute???

First of all, you go online and make a profile for each of your children you want to order for.
They ask things like favorite color, what hobbies they like and  any likes dislikes of clothing. (If I were ordering for Broxton, I would specify that he does not like collared shirts these days.  Also, for future ordering for Savannah, I would add that I am not a fan of onesies.)
One thing I did like?  They ask for SHIRT SIZE and PANTS SIZE.  I love that they don't just ask for size, since Broxton has never worn the same size pants and shirt at the same time and it seems Savannah is going to be the same way.  You can also pick your budget, no use in ordering this and it being out of your price range, right???

Then, you pay the shipping fee.  It is $9.95 and then you wait.  In hardly no time at all, you have a special box at your door with 4 outfits in there for your little one.   You can look, try them on, discuss with your children ... whatever you need to do.  (You have 7 days to decide.) Love them?  Pay the "wee blessings" price and keep them all. Hate them?  Return them, you are only out the "shipping fee" (I like to call it the charge for the personal shopper!)  for them to send them to you, there is no return fee.  Keep an eye on INSTAGRAM to see the other clothes that were in the box we were sent.
It really doesn't get much easier than that!  Still have questions?  Head on over to the Wee Blessings site to see more information!

*** Wee Blessings is for newborns to 14 years old.  PERFECT for back to school!!!!  You could even just use them for the different seasons new wardrobe if you don't want to do monthly service.

Please put Noelle @ Jumpin Beans Blog in the referral section, if you sign up.  I will get a free outfit for Savannah if you do :)

How do you take your tea? @ChoiceOrganicTeas

For many of us, we are in back to school mode.  Back to school has either already happened, or it is getting ready to happen.  Know what that means???  Schedule... Routine...   For me, that also means that I get a little bit of peace and quiet during the day again.  Not much, but some!   When I was a child, I can remember my grandaddy always making a nice cup of hot tea each night after dinner.  It was his way to rest and unwind and I can picture it like it was yesterday. Being from South Georgia, I am all about drinking nice ICE COLD SWEET TEA, but every now and then, it is nice to relax in the early morning (or early evening)  and have a nice hot tea as a treat.  Little did I know that there is such a wide variety of tea's out there these days!
Lucky for me, I was sent a couple different tea's to try out enjoy!  Thanks to Choice Organic Teas, I get to share a couple tips for brewing the best tea at home.

Here are easy steps to brewing perfectly balanced iced tea:

Start any cup of tea by boiling fresh, filtered water.
For best results, black and herbal teas should be steeped with water right off the boil (around 212°).
Green, white, or oolong teas are best brewed with water just before it's boiled (180-190°).
For every 8 oz (1 cup) serving of iced tea you wish to brew, you'll want one tea bag or 1 tsp (2-3 g) loose leaf.
Make a double strength concentrate by steeping the tea bag or tea leaves in half the amount of water as you would for hot tea, for an 8 oz cup you'll brew a 1/2 cup (4 oz) concentrate.
Now, steep your concentrate! Here is a quick guide to steep times:
Black: 3-4 min, Herbal: 5 min, Green: 2-3 minutes, Oolong: 2-3 min, White: 1-3 min.
See chart below for a great reference for steep time and temperatures.
Once your tea has steeped, remove the tea bag or strain the leaves with a sieve or brewing basket, then add cold or tepid water to create 1 full cup of tea.
Pour over ice, and enjoy! If you like, you can add your favorite sweetener or a twist of lemon.

More Iced Tea Tips:
To make a stronger cup, double your tea bags or increase the amount of tea leaves used, not the brew time, as this can affect the flavor and increase bitterness.
To prevent cloudiness, never pour hot tea directly over ice. Adding tepid water first helps to bring the water temperature down slowly.

Let me just go ahead and tell you now... I had no clue that there were different water temperatures and steep times for the type of tea you were brewing.  Nope, not a clue. I thought it was all the same. As you can see, I was mistaken, so I thought I would share that handy little chart above for you guys to reference if you need to!   Also, if you are more like me and not sure about the different types of teas, you can order a variety sample pack from Choice Organic Teas to try out to see what you might really like the best!  With the cooler weather hopefully coming our way before too much longer, it might be a great idea to go ahead and stock up on some of these teas now.  (With varieties such as Energy Boost or Sinus & Throat Variety it might be beneficial!)

One more thing I want to share with you about these teas...
Did you know you could use them to clean?  All I really knew about tea was that you could drink it and that you could use it to turn paper brown to make it look old.  (We did that in school ages ago!)
Check out this recipe from Choice Teas to make glass cleaner:

Here’s what you’ll need:
– An empty (clean) spray bottle
– 3 tea bags of black tea (English Breakfast, Irish Breakfast, Classic Black, Wild Forest Black would work great!)
– 1 cup of water

What to do:
1. Steep tea bags in 1 cup of water and cool.
2. Pour brewed tea into a spray bottle.
3. Spray on windows and wipe thoroughly with a paper towel or cloth.

That’s all! Now you’ve got clean windows and mirrors without using harsh chemicals.

Are you going to be attending the Life of the Party Tour for Kidz Bop?  Maybe you are just really a big fan of them, just like Broxton.  Either way ---  you might want to check out what this "hostess with the mostess" did for a Kidz Bop themed party.  I love the cupcake microphones and the pin the tour bus on the map.  I wish I had that creativity!!!!

Make sure you look to see if they are headed to a city near you!  Broxton wants to meet them so bad, it won't be happening, but you can see if they have VIP meet and greet tickets available for the show if you make it to one!

In or near Atlanta?  You can purchase tickets HERE to the Alpharetta event!

Kidz Bop 32 & Life of the Party Tour... #Alpharetta #Georgia

It is always surprising to people when they get in our car the music that comes from the radio. Broxton is a HUGE fan of the KIDZ BOP CD's and they get plenty of play time in there! Once our passengers realize it is a kid singing popular songs they normally start to sing along, although sometimes they are a bit amazed and they just sit and listen. (It is especially funny to watch the reaction of a teenager.) The songs on the discs are the popular songs that are on the radio today... just CLEAN versions and sang by kids.  That means it is mama approved so we get to enjoy good music without the profanity or the bleeping out of words and phrases.

When I saw that Kidz Bop was coming out with version number 32, I knew it was going to be requested soon in the house, so of course I was thrilled to get one to review for him. Since its arrival, it has been in the CD rotation in the car and you can bet that we listen to it on the way to and from school now that we are back on that schedule!

KIDZ BOP 32 Play List:
01  Cake By The Ocean
02 No
03 My House
04  Love Yourself
05 Don't Let Me Down
06  Work
07 Never Forget You
08 Out Of The Woods
09 Hide Away
10 One Call Away
11 Just Like Fire
12 Stressed Out
13 7 Years
14 One Dance
15 Life Of The Party (Bonus Track)

I had NO CLUE any of the songs when the CD arrived.  Okay, Okay, I did know number 4 - Love Yourself.  But besides that one, I knew none...  Now, I think I can sing along with quite a few of them.  One I find a bit odd and luckily Broxton does too, but other than that.. we love it. The only question Broxton has...  "Why so many LOVE SONGS???? " I told him it was because they are singing popular songs and right now that is what people want to hear!  It must not bother him too much, because he still loves them and sings and dances to them!  Want to know something else?  He even watches them on you tube and tries to do their dances too! So see, it isn't just for us to listen to in the car... it gets him up and moving at the house!

Besides enjoying the CD, make sure you look to see if they are coming to a city near you. You do know they are on tour now, right?????   Heads up Georgia People, they are headed to ALPHARETTA THIS MONTH!!!!!
