I know that Dora is very popular among girls, but as long as he is loving it... I am too!   Actually, one of his teammates on the baseball team has a little sister that is a HUGE Dora fan - she has the backpack, the shoes and all the other things...  I think it is awesome that they incorporate educational things, such as learning Spanish, in this show... you can imagine the benefit for kids that are learning additional languages...  When they are adults, it will really help them out!!!  At least I think it will!  Well, Nickelodeon is helping you help entertain and educate your little on...

He would come home from school telling me about it and would ask me what the Spanish word was for different things.  I then learned that they had been watching Dora at school and he was more into listening than he normally was at home.  He had a couple Dora movies already, so he would ask to watch them more frequently than in the past. With all of the moving we were doing, things sort of got shoved here and there... We had borrowed my parents car (bigger and had a DVD  player.) I must tell you something... We have never gotten into Dora the explorer around here... I know, it was totally wrong of me and I see it now.  I just somewhat presumed that since it was Dora (and they also have Diego) that it was geared more towards girls.  Little did I know, but Broxton LOVES it.  We were sent Dora's Butterfly Ball on DVD and of course, we had to check it out.  I had no clue that Broxton would be so captivated on learning like he was.  Since watching Dora, he now asks me if I speak Spanish and I hear him saying words such as Azul and Amarillo!  Wow...   You can bet I will let him watch from now on!!!! So, don't be like me...
